PASSED BALL SHOW #131 5/7/2014 Part 1 WITH VAL PASCUCCI; I open up talking about what I think is the best solution to the Mets under talented bullpen and how it should not include Jenrry Mejia. I then talk about a team that has had an outstanding bullpen this season and few could have predicted the San Diego Padres could be that team. I then speak with former Mets and Expos 1B and current hitting coach for the Savannah Sand Gnats Val Pascucci from the visiting dugout at First Energy Park in Lakewood, NJ. I then spend a little time talking about the first African American pitcher in the history of MLB- Dan Bankhead- and question why his name seldom comes up during appreciation of Jackie Robinson. I finish off by calling out one who I feel was one of the most hateful and biggoted players on the 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers

This episode was a dandy as Dave O'Brien would say. During the Sox game against the Nationals, we talked about everything going on down in Spring Training including our initial reactions to the Bryce Harper signing, where Michael Chavis fits in, how ESPN sucks, whether or not Steve Lyons and Dennis Eckersley look alike (they don't), react to Jenrry Mejia's spring debut, debate whether or not Jacoby Ellsbury is alive, Garrett tells his jokes of the week, and much more!
In this episode, Drew and Adam banter about the few moves that have been made including AJ Pollock to the Dodgersm Wade Miley to the Astros, and more. Later, they discuss the conclusion of some winter league baseball including the australian baseball league and the venezuelan winter league. After that, Adam breaks down his time at the Winter Meltdown, and tells a heartwarming story about Michael Cuddyer. Penultimately, Drew discusses career WAR marks for Mike Trout, and then Drew and Adam discuss some possible rule changes for the upcoming MLB seasons. Finally, Drew sticks up for Jenrry Mejia without the approval of Adam.
In Episode 147 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett talk about Jenrry Mejia, pizzacutter4, and the cold free agent market before debating the Becky Lynch era in pro wrestling.

Drew Pomeranz is gone and we are just a bit excited about it. We recap an up and (very) down couple of years for Dwew in Boston, also recap our guy Jarrod Saltalamacchia's time with the Sox after he announced his retirement, talk the addition of Jenrry Mejia even though he was banned from baseball, dig deeper as to what that pic with Brock and Kimbrel might mean, talk David Price trolling Steve on the Twitter machine, break down your suggestions for which Red Sox player would make the best Patriots player, and close with your phenomenal Down in the DM questions. Enjoy!
In Episode 117 of For All You Kids Out There, the only news worth talking about is a Wade LeBlanc contract extension so talk about it we shall with David Roth of Deadspin. We do also chat about Jenrry Mejia's return from suspension, famous Hampshire College graduates, and David's encounters with semi-famous Law & Order recurring characters in airports. You know the usual. We are not done with Wade LeBlanc chat, oh no. In the second half of the show we bring on Meg Rowley to delve further into all things Wade, consider the current state of the Mariners, and apparently help Meg make her SaberSeminar travel plans. Then in the third half of the show we answer you correspondence and talk about all the recent pro wrestling and MMA news. As we do.
Caso Jenrry Mejia by Podcast Endorfinas
Despite recent accusations hurled at Peyton Manning over PED use (by Al Jazeera) and his behavior in college, his approval ratings remain high among the American public and seemingly not influenced by the negative publicity at all. And while basketball fans have become enamored with Steph Curry, his approval rating still trails established veterans LeBron James and the retiring Kobe Bryant. New York Mets relief pitcher Jenrry Mejia recently became the first Major Leaguer banned for life after testing positive for a banned substance for the third time. 47% felt the punishment was right, and only 7% considered it too harsh. 32% thought it should have been banishment after one or two failed tests. The Seton Hall Sports Poll has been conducted regularly since 2006, which is sponsored by The Sharkey Institute.

Spring Training is tantalizingly close, friends, which means it is time for your position-by-position previews of the 2016 Mets to commence! In Episode 172 of Amazin' Avenue Audio, Jeffrey and Lukas discuss the Mets outfield, and it is in glowing terms. For starters, there will probably only be five of them, and they are all cromulent major leaguers. We talk Cespedes as center fielder, Conforto as stealth MVP candidate, and the overlooked Cutis Granderson, before debating if Juan Lagares can bounce back and spending much less time on Alejandro de Aza then we thought we would. Then it is time for your e-mails on topics ranging from a Jacob deGrom extension, to Mets-inspired craft beers, to Kelly Secrest. Jeffrey even throws in a somewhat disorganized Jenrry Mejia rant for good measure. Finally we close with an IFK Goteborg update and a very NSFW pop culture recommendation. Amazin' Avenue Audio is back again, as Steve and Jeffrey complain about the opening question segment, discover the Mets made a bunch of minor league free agent signings, ruminate about a Jenrry Mejia tender, and rant about Wuilmer Becerra being left off the 40-man. Then it is time for your (pro wrestling) e-mails that are of interest to probably only Stuart. But don't say we didn't warn you this time. Learn more about your ad choices. In the "Not the Mercury Mets" edition, Jeffrey and Bryan take stock of the 2015 Mets after a bad week. But hey, the Mets are still in first place, so we can't get too down, right? On the other hand, we have to discuss the Mets defense again. Then, Jeffrey gets annoyed about the service time manipulation around Noah Syndergaard and Steven Matz, again. Then it is time for your e-mails. Jeffrey finally addresses the Jenrry Mejia thing, and the podcast quickly goes off the rails. We get back on track after a certain popular jingle and wrap things up with a pro wrestling e-mail. Sounds about right. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
In the "No-han" edition, we recap the one game the Mets have played so far this year. And it was good (mostly!). Jeffrey waxes about BARTYOLO, Greg picks out a pet for Wilmer Flores, and we consider the future of a Mets bullpen sans Jenrry Mejia. There is also an extra long Swedish soccer segment to help pad this out, because again, the Mets have only played one game. But hey, there is an extra long live show to look forward to this weeked at Foley's on West 33rd in Manhattan! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In the “Jeffrey promises not to tell the Shingo Takatsu story again” edition, Jeffrey and Chris talk about all the things that aren’t really happening even though there are in fact baseball players in Port St. Lucie doing baseball things. We discuss Dillon Gee’s uncertain future, Jenrry Mejia’s unbelievable hair, and Eric Campbell’s unassailable roster spot. And of course there is shortstop talk as well. We also kick off our positional previews with the Mets bullpen (#blameMcShane). Jeffrey isn’t sold on Bobby Parnell, closer of the (near) future, and neither of us are sure he 2015 Mets pen will be good (though we suppose this is an improvement from years past when we were pretty sure they weren’t). We wrap things up with your e-mails, which include Chris’s pro wrestling history and a serious consideration of Robinson Cancel, and the podcast adopts a soccer team (no, it’s not who you think). Ben and Sam compare Kershaw to Pedro and discuss Ned Yost’s bullpen usage, Russell Martin’s fitness, and Jenrry Mejia’s save celebration.
