The guys react to recent comments from Jeff Hafley about Chop Robinson and discuss the expectations facing the young pass rusher entering a pivotal season for his development. While both agree Robinson has plenty of talent and upside, they emphasize that potential alone isn't enough and that it's time for him to consistently produce on the field. The conversation also focuses on players like Austin Jackson and JuJu Brents, who have shown they can be valuable contributors when healthy but have struggled to stay on the field throughout their careers. Plus, Joe and Dave examine who will emerge as the Dolphins' leaders this season, including the belief that De'Von Achane's can lead more through his performance and work ethic than by being a vocal, "rah-rah" presence in the locker room.
Hour 2 opens with Joe and Dave getting into some light National Donut Day conversation, including their favorite desserts and a debate over the best key lime pie spots in South Florida. The focus then shifts to the Dolphins as roster competition heats up in minicamp, with several young players beginning to separate themselves and wide receiver Malik Washington standing out for how quickly he's picking up the new system. The guys also react to Jeff Hafley's comments on Chop Robinson, agreeing that while the talent is there, it's time for production to match potential. They also discuss injury concerns around players like Austin Jackson and JuJu Brents, and dig into who will emerge as team leaders this season, including the idea that De'Von Achane will lead more by example than as a vocal presence. The hour wraps with Dolphins minicamp updates as the team edges closer to preseason practices against other opponents, plus a brief debate on whether Shohei Ohtani is already the greatest baseball player of all time
Joe Rose and Kim Bokamper open the hour with a discussion about injuries in sports, highlighting players like JuJu Brents and Austin Jackson and emphasizing how important it is for both to stay healthy this season. They talk about how injuries are part of the game, but note how the approach has changed over time, with today's players having more financial leverage, stronger agent influence, and a greater incentive to protect long-term contracts compared to the tougher, more “play through anything” era Joe and Bokamper came up in. The conversation also expands into how much money is now flowing through both the NFL and college football, including rising coach salaries and the changing business of the sport. The hour then shifts to baseball discussion before Marlins manager Clayton McCullough joins to break down Miami's recent sweep of the Nationals, praise Otto Lopez's breakout season, and highlight strong performances from Xavier Edwards, Liam Hicks, and Max Meyer as the Marlins continue trying to find consistency.
On Thursday's show, Joe Rose and the crew react to a frustrating Marlins loss to the Blue Jays despite 11 hits, with continued optimism around strong seasons from Otto Lopez, Xavier Edwards, and Max Meyer. NBA Playoffs talk runs throughout the show, including Spurs–Thunder Game 6, physical play and officiating concerns, flopping around the league, and why the Knicks' return to the Finals has created massive buzz compared to other sports. The Heat offseason and Giannis Antetokounmpo trade rumors are a major focus, with discussion around what Miami would have to give up, whether Giannis would embrace the “villain” label, and if the Heat can realistically land a true superstar or need a broader reset. Dolphins OTAs are also heavily covered, with questions about Austin Jackson's health, Chop Robinson's development, and overall roster uncertainty, plus appearances from Omar Kelly and Brian Geltzeiler providing deeper insight on both the Dolphins' early practice takeaways and the latest NBA playoff and offseason storylines.
Omar Kelly joins the show to break down the latest from Dolphins OTAs, including an offense that struggled at times during practice while mostly focusing on the passing game. Omar explains that the defense often knew what was coming and says he would've liked to see new quarterback Malik Willis push the ball downfield more instead of relying on checkdowns. The conversation also covers head coach Jeff Hafley making a strong early impression, with Omar arguing that Hafley's previous head coaching experience — and past failures — could actually benefit Miami compared to the franchise's history with first-time head coaches. Plus, the guys discuss the Dolphins secondary, young defensive linemen like Kenneth Grant and Jordan Phillips, Chop Robinson's development, concerns about setting the edge defensively, Austin Jackson's health, and whether Miami should stop delaying the inevitable and move Kadyn Proctor to right tackle immediately.
Hour 4 opens with frustration after a rough Marlins loss to the Blue Jays, as the offense struggles to capitalize despite plenty of hits. The conversation then shifts to Dolphins OTAs, where Joe Rose breaks down Miami's ongoing roster questions, including the importance of Austin Jackson staying healthy at right tackle and the overall uncertainty surrounding a team still trying to find consistency. Joe also touches on tennis headlines from Paris, the impact of extreme heat on Jannik Sinner, and whether Novak Djokovic can add another major to his resume, before circling back to NBA talk with concerns about flopping, Victor Wembanyama's role in the Spurs offense, and Joe's belief that today's game demands consistent three-point shooting. The hour wraps with Omar Kelly joining to break down Dolphins OTAs, where he describes an offense that looked uneven and overly predictable, while praising Jeff Hafley's early leadership and experience. Omar also dives into key roster battles and concerns on defense, including the secondary, defensive line depth, Chop Robinson's development, and whether Miami should finally move Kadyn Proctor into a full-time right tackle role.
Hour 3 opens with Joe Rose breaking down the Dolphins, including questions about Austin Jackson's ability to stay healthy and whether Chop Robinson can emerge as a true playmaker this season. The conversation then shifts to the NBA Playoffs, where Joe previews Spurs vs. Thunder Game 6 and wonders if San Antonio can extend the series, while also reacting to physical and borderline “dirty” play from the Spurs. Joe also weighs in on proposed new college sports legislation and raises questions about who would actually enforce the rules in today's landscape. On a rainy South Florida day, Joe also lightens things up by reminiscing about his old mall-walking days before the show welcomes Brian Geltzeiler for a deep NBA Playoffs and offseason breakdown. Geltzeiler discusses officiating and flopping in the Spurs-Thunder series, the impact of Isaiah Hartenstein defending Victor Wembanyama, and then dives into massive offseason storylines including Giannis Antetokounmpo trade rumors, potential Heat roster changes, and why Miami is likely to be aggressive this summer. He also mentions possible star movement around the league, including Jaylen Brown, and breaks down why the Knicks are in a strong position awaiting the Finals opponent regardless of who advances.

Alain Poupart joins the show to break down early impressions of the Miami Dolphins under new leadership, noting that head coach Jeff Hafley has made a strong first impression and appears to communicate more directly and efficiently than the previous regime. He also weighs in on quarterback Malik Willis's arm talent, highlights wide receiver Malik Washington as a player to watch, and touches on potential contract extensions for Jordyn Brooks and Aaron Brewer.
Hour 4 opens with a discussion around the growing controversy involving Brendan Sorsby and gambling, with Joe Rose arguing that players who bet on the game should not be allowed to compete in college football, especially in today's environment where NIL money has completely reshaped the sport. The guys broaden the conversation to how chaotic college athletics has become, with constant transfers, coaching movement, and players chasing bigger contracts, while noting the rare stability of the Miami Hurricanes football under Mario Cristobal. The hour then shifts to South Florida culture as Mickey Markoff joins to promote the Miami Air & Sea Show and its surrounding festivities. The show wraps with Alain Poupart breaking down the Miami Dolphins OTAs, highlighting early impressions of head coach Jeff Hafley, injury concerns for Austin Jackson, standout buzz around Malik Washington and Malik Willis, and potential extensions for Jordyn Brooks and Aaron Brewer.
Hour 3 features more Miami Dolphins OTA coverage as Alain Poupart joins the show to discuss early impressions of the team under head coach Jeff Hafley, who he says has made a strong first impression and communicates in a more direct, efficient way than the previous regime while quickly establishing himself as a clear team leader. The conversation turns to roster questions, including concerns about Austin Jackson's injury situation, whether Kadyn Proctor should permanently move to tackle, Malik Willis showing real arm talent, Malik Washington as a breakout candidate, and potential extensions for Jordyn Brooks and Aaron Brewer. The hour then shifts to the national college football debate as Brett McMurphy breaks down the ongoing CFP power struggle between the SEC and Big Ten, uncertainty over 16 vs. 24-team expansion, and how TV networks like ESPN are influencing the direction of the sport. McMurphy also explores the possibility of a future superleague, the growing issue of players manipulating eligibility through injuries, and the difficulty of enforcing rules in today's NIL-driven college football landscape.
Omar Kelly joins the show with the latest updates from Miami Dolphins OTAs, including news that De'Von Achane is dealing with a minor injury and appeared a bit heavier than usual at practice. Omar also discusses the Dolphins working on extensions for Jordyn Brooks and Aaron Brewer, explaining why those negotiations differ from Achane's situation since Brooks and Brewer have already earned major NFL contracts. The conversation also dives into concerns surrounding Austin Jackson and whether the Dolphins can rely on him moving forward, with Omar suggesting rookie Kadyn Proctor could eventually slide to right tackle if needed. Plus, Omar provides an update on quarterback Malik Willis after the first day of OTAs, debates with Joe Rose over whether top rookies should automatically start or earn their roles, and makes the case for Miami to bring back Christian Wilkins.
Hour 4 starts a street in New York being named after Lionel Messi and the City of Miami being removed from future Super Bowl rotation, before shifting into NFL storylines like whether Cam Ward can take a leap in his second year with the Tennessee Titans while also being featured on Netflix's “Quarterback” series. The conversation then turns to the growing tension between the SEC and Big Ten over potential College Football Playoff expansion, with other conferences beginning to take sides as the debate over structure and format intensifies. Omar Kelly then joins the show with the latest from Miami Dolphins OTAs, including updates on De'Von Achane's minor injury, extension talks for Jordyn Brooks and Aaron Brewer, concerns about Austin Jackson, and early flashes from quarterback Malik Willis. The hour wraps with Omar and Joe Rose debating whether highly drafted rookies should be handed starting jobs or forced to earn them, along with Omar making the case for bringing back Christian Wilkins.
Hour 2 features more reaction to the New York Knicks stunning comeback win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals as the NBA Playoffs continue to deliver drama. The focus then shifts heavily to Miami Dolphins OTAs, with Joe Rose expressing concern over Austin Jackson still dealing with a lingering toe injury. Omar Kelly joins the show to provide updates on De'Von Achane, potential contract extensions for Jordyn Brooks and Aaron Brewer, and the development of quarterback Malik Willis during the first day of OTAs. The guys also debate whether highly drafted rookies should automatically start or earn their roles, discuss the long-term outlook of this young Dolphins roster, and revisit the possibility of bringing back Christian Wilkins.
Wednesday's show is packed with NBA Playoffs drama, Dolphins offseason storylines, and nonstop South Florida sports debate as the New York Knicks deliver a stunning 22-point fourth-quarter comeback to steal Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The guys also break down the start of Miami Dolphins OTAs, with Joe Rose cautioning against overreacting to early practices while the conversation turns to concerns about Austin Jackson's injury and updates from Omar Kelly on De'Von Achane, potential roster extensions, and the overall outlook for a very young Miami team. Around the league, NBA Playoffs talk continues with reactions to James Harden and how teams can slow down Victor Wembanyama, while college football's future takes center stage as NIL money explodes and SEC and Big Ten tensions rise over College Football Playoff expansion. The show also dives into a growing Lionel Messi/Inter Miami discussion about media access and fan engagement, plus a full slate of “Hollywood's Headlines” featuring wild sports and entertainment stories from across the country.

Omar Kelly joins the show to weigh in on the Dolphins' decision to take Kadyn Proctor over Rueben Bain, noting that while Proctor is a massive talent, keeping his weight down will be a key factor in his development. He acknowledges that Bain would have been a strong pick for Miami, but gives the front office the benefit of the doubt as they stick to their vision. Omar adds that Proctor will be heavily compared to Bain throughout his career, especially given the fan reaction to the pass on the local standout. He also raises the question of whether the selection could signal a potential shift with Austin Jackson's future in Miami. The conversation wraps with broader NFL discussion around the Mike Vrabel situation and rumored off-field reporting involving NFL reporter Diana Russini.
Hour 3 focuses on the Dolphins selecting Kadyn Proctor at pick 12, with Joe breaking down the biggest question around the pick being whether Proctor can keep his weight in check as a day-one starter. He also debates whether Proctor will ultimately outperform Rueben Bain, whom Miami passed on, while raising some concern about second first-round pick Chris Johnson coming from a smaller school. Omar Kelly joins to add that Proctor's size is undeniable but that weight management will be critical, and he acknowledges Bain would have been a strong fit for Miami. Omar also notes that Proctor will be compared to Bain and Caleb Downs for his entire career, as the conversation turns to what the pick could mean for Austin Jackson and broader NFL storylines around the Mike Vrabel and Diana Russini situation

The guys highlight Devon Achane as one of the Dolphins' best draft picks and a true difference-maker for the team. They talk about the Bills attempting to trade for Jaylen Waddle last season and discuss how the new GM views Waddle as a foundational piece as Miami looks to build through the draft. Quarterback remains the biggest question, with Joe predicting that if the Dolphins sign Malik Willis, he'd beat out Quinn Ewers in camp. They also run through other major roster decisions involving Bradley Chubb and Austin Jackson, while Joe emphasizes the need to draft an offensive guard — floating Miami's Francis Mauigoa as a strong option.
Omar Kelly joins the show to break down the Dolphins' offseason, starting with the Malik Willis situation. He says Miami is the front-runner but expects other teams to show interest, and both he and Joe agree Willis won't command as much money as a Sam Darnold or even Justin Fields. They dive into key roster decisions, including high-dollar players like Bradley Chubb, and Joe runs through a list of potential quarterback options to get Omar's take on each. The conversation also touches on the fallout from past missteps in talent evaluation and what the Dolphins should do with offensive linemen Austin Jackson and James Daniels.
Hour 3 kicks off with Omar Kelly joining the show to break down the Dolphins' offseason, starting with Malik Willis. He says Miami is the front-runner but expects other teams to be interested, and both he and Joe agree Willis won't command as much as a Sam Darnold or Justin Fields. The conversation dives into key roster decisions, including Bradley Chubb, Austin Jackson, James Daniels, and Devon Achane, weighing contract extensions versus potential trades, while also discussing Minkah Fitzpatrick's future in Miami. Later, the guys shift to the NBA, critiquing All-Star Weekend as watered down, noting the lackluster Dunk Contest, and highlighting the ongoing issues of superstar players missing regular season games despite earning massive salaries.
Hour 2 opens with the Canes' big basketball win before shifting to the Dolphins' offseason, where Joe highlights Devon Achane as a key player who deserves a new deal despite the running back market. They dive into the quarterback carousel, with Malik Willis emerging as Miami's top target while Hollywood cautions against overcommitting to the wrong player like they did with Tua, and they discuss where Carson Beck might land in the draft. The conversation expands to other roster priorities, including Bradley Chubb, Austin Jackson, and the need to add an offensive guard, with Francis Mauigoa mentioned as a potential target. The hour wraps with Hollywood's Headlines, covering an Olympic athlete apologizing for cheating, Jaxson Hayes facing a lawsuit from a mascot, and California spending $350 million on OnlyFans subscriptions, led by Los Angeles.

The Washington Commanders (3-7) go to Madrid to take on the Miami Dolphins (3-7) at 9:30am ET on NFL Network and NFL Plus. This is a must-win game for anyone that believes we still can have a shot at making the playoffs. A loss would end our season. We begin, as we always do, with the injury report for the game. The Commanders are without Jayden Daniels, Terry McLaurin, Drake Jackson, Will Harris, Ale Kaho and Treylon Burks, while both Jordan Magee and Ben Sinnott are questionable for the game. On the other side, just Austin Jackson is missing for Miami, along with Tyreek Hill who has been missing the whole season with injury. The Commanders offense, featuring Marcus Mariota, will play a gettable Miami Dolphins defense that features Bradley Chubb and Minkah Fitzpatrick. How do we exploit this defense? While Deebo Samuel is our main receiving threat at the WR position, Miami actually struggles against TEs and RBs, so this presents a great opportunity for Zach Ertz, Bill Croskey-Merritt, Jeremy McNichols and Chris Rodriguez. The Commanders defense goes against Tua Tagovailoa, De'Von Achane, Jaylen Waddle and this high-potential Dolphins offense that has been inconsistent throughout the season. On this side of the ball, the Commanders are now without Trey Amos (broken fibula) and Daron Payne (1 game suspension). How do we slow down Miami? The Commanders are “road” underdogs by 2.5 points and the over-under is 47.5 points. What is your prediction for this game? The Comment Mailbag features 5 comments. The pain truly never ends with the Dolphins as news comes in that the Dolphins will be going with their back up right guard after Austin Jackson got injured versus Indy this weekend. Former Miami Dolphins running back joins the show, and the guys get some perspective on what is going on with the Dolphins, he speaks on having patience as fans, and a little about his alma mater's QB Arch Manning! Leroy is not happy with Tobin after he agrees with everything Ricky Williams said about staying patient with the Dolphins, as he claims he has been telling Tobin the same for weeks! We of course have to continue to raise Leroy's heart rate so Tobin decides to play a McDaniel cut on Darren Waller, Leroy is of course left speechless.
It's another wild ride on the Tobin and Leroy Show, and the Dolphins are still living rent-free in Leroy's head—so much so that he had to explain to his doctor why his heart rate's been through the roof since Sunday. We kick things off with a mix of leftover Dolphins frustration, a look ahead to the Canes' highly anticipated matchup with USF, and Tobin trying (and failing) to get Brittney hyped for Canelo vs Crawford using bad F1 analogies. Just when Tobin thinks he's dodged Dolphins talk for a segment to talk about boxing, Leroy hijacks it with some Tua takes. In Hour 2, “Hour Tua” is officially suspended (for now), but that doesn't stop Tobin from relapsing into EuroBasket updates—despite saying he was done. While Leroy steps out for a Cleveland hit, Tobin and Brittney dive into more Canes talk, and then it's time for the always unpredictable “Mixed Bag,” featuring soundbites from Stephen A. Smith, Steve Sarkisian, and Jerry Jones. Leroy returns in Hour 3 just in time to be confused by Mike McDaniel again, and we get into a hilarious story about Dolphins fans launching a GoFundMe for a “Fire Grier and McDaniel” banner to fly over Hard Rock Stadium. We don't knock the hustle. Then it's time for our favorite Wednesday tradition—Rats Off A Ship—with rumors flying about Jon Gruden to Miami and Andrew Wiggins to the Lakers. Finally, in Hour 4, the Dolphins pain continues with injury news about Austin Jackson, and former Dolphins RB Ricky Williams joins the show to preach patience to the fanbase. Tobin immediately agrees with him—much to Leroy's frustration, since he's been saying the same thing for weeks. Naturally, Tobin has to keep the heart rate rising by playing a McDaniel clip on Darren Waller, leaving Leroy completely speechless.
In this episode of The Flame: Entertainment & Sports, host Rob Cao reflects on the engagement of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce — offering heartfelt congratulations to the couple and their loved ones. As a true romantic, Rob thanks God for the chance to cover their story and highlights how this relationship feels different from the start, with Taylor being more open and expressive than ever.Rob also discusses the exciting but busy times in Taylor's world: her engagement, the New Heights appearance and album announcement, Travis' upcoming NFL season, and her album release in October.Switching to sports, Rob breaks down the Miami Dolphins' initial 53-man roster: • The disappointment of preseason standouts Derrick McClelland and Greyson Murphy not making the team, and why the decision makes sense given Miami's stacked group of pass rushers (Jaelan Phillips, Bradley Chubb, Chop Robinson, Matthew Judon). • The additions of veteran corner Rasul Douglas and 2023 second-round pick JuJu Brents to bolster the CB room. • The return of swing tackle Kendall Lamm and the huge boost of starter Austin Jackson returning to practice ahead of Week 1 vs. the Colts. • The unfortunate injury to longtime kicker Jason Sanders (out 4–5 games) and Miami's signing of Riley Patterson to fill in.It's a jam-packed mix of love, life, and football you won't want to miss.
