Send me a messageDonald Pleasence, who starred in "The Great Escape" was actually a WW2 Prisoner of War (POW).He later found fame as Bond villain, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, and as Dr. Loomis in the cult horror film "Halloween".Support My Channel as a Patron:Donald Pleasence served in the RAF from 1940, particpating in 60 bombing missions.Eventually his Lancaster bomber was shot down whilst on a raid to bomb a V1 rocket site in northern France.Captured, Donald Pleasence was to spend the rest of the war as a German Prisoner in a POW camp, Stalag Luft I / Stalag Luft 1.Situated on the Baltic coast of Germany, Stalag Luft I housed over 9,000 prisoners of war (POW).Whilst Royal Air Force and Royal Canadian Air Force men made up about 20% of the camp population, over 7500 men were US airmen.Included in their number were John C. Morgan (the only US airman to receive the Medal of Honor and also be a POW), flying ace Vermont Garrison, and Colonel Hubert Zemke. After the war, Donald Pleasence resumed his acting career and was to appear in 140 films over the next 50 years.Arguably, one of the greatest villains that James Bond (007) was to go up against, Pleasence played Ernst Stavro Blofeld in "You Only Live Twice".Later on he also appeared as Dr. Samuel Loomis in the cult "Halloween" film franchise. In 1963, he reprised his experience as a wartime POW when he starred in "The Great Escape".Speaking of wartime movies, he also appeared in "The Eagle Has Landed".Donald Pleasence died in France in 1995.Support the Show.
Many members of John Morgan's family have served in the armed forces, which was influenced by his grandfather's actions during WWII. The idea of service to others resonated strongly with John and served for 13 years in the US Marines. Even though he is no longer wearing a uniform, he still has a mission to continue to serve the country and wants to honor the legacy his grandfather had begun. During his 13 years in the Marine Corps and multiple trips to Afghanistan and Iraq, John invested well in the stock market. There were a few fundamentals that he stuck with and took a conservative approach to investing, which served him well. He didn't come from money, but he was able to develop an investment portfolio nearing $600,000 by the time he exited the Marines. That portfolio was liquidated to create IzMaCo Investments. During his time in the Marines, John constantly heard horror stories about off-base properties that were not well maintained. Landlords would take advantage of a situation and there seemed to be little recourse for a service member to take. The worst would be is when a spouse was deployed or on an extended military maneuver and their family would go without essential services. IzMaCo's top priority of having well-maintained homes is so someone that is serving the country has their head in the game. No one will be able to concentrate on what's in front of them if they are worried about their family dealing with a broken HVAC system in the middle of July Real estate can be a lucrative investment, but we have the service member in mind. With a strong portfolio of 8 properties, valued at over one million dollars, IzMaCo will strive to teach service members how to invest while simultaneously providing them better quality rental properties. IzMaCo can do this with the assistance of shareholders that will invest not only in this current project but to build a legacy that will continue to help others into the future. The focus is to provide an investment opportunity that is recognizable and provide the returns that investors should expect with a solid exit strategy for the shareholders. IzMaCo wants to create the John “Red” Morgan Foundation, to honor John's grandfather and Medal of Honor recipient John C. Morgan, a B-17 pilot during World War 2. The foundation will one-day support veteran startups to help fund the veteran entrepreneurial spirit. Through these investments, IzMaCo seeks to be the change it wanted to see in this world.

It is an honor for me to introduce you to my dear friend, John Morgan (a.k.a., President George W. Bush). I met John in 2013 at the Platform Conference in Nashville, TN, over the course of that year, we became close friends. John travels the world encouraging, challenging, and uplifting the hearts of men and women, and we are privileged to have him on the program. This show is different than any other I've done, as John and I allow you, the listener, in on our conversation. I trust you will enjoy this interview with ‘W'. John Morgan's Bio: For most Americans, there's nothing like being in the presence of the President of the United States. We know we're touching history, and for a few moments we feel bigger than life. A chance encounter with the President is a wonder we can't wait to describe to our friends. When it happens, we want to get as close as possible, shake hands and exchange a word—so we can tell our grandchildren. John C. Morgan is a rare phenomenon. He was recently hired to add the “Extra WOW factor” for a John C. Maxwell training event. Most people don't realize that he's an impersonator, because he's just that good. But even if they're expecting an impersonator, John takes them by surprise. He's amazingly gifted with George W. Bush's physical appearance, and he has assiduously cultivated the President's mannerisms and speech patterns. The hair, the shrug, the laugh, the nod, even the verbal Bush-isms—John C. Morgan makes you feel like you're speaking with the President himself. That's what Dick Cheney, Jeb Bush and Barbara Walters thought when they met John C. Morgan in character! On top of it all, John C. Morgan is a showman, musician, actor and comedian who plays the bit for all it's worth. That's how he guarantees events are full of surprises in which everyone participates. Whether “W” shows up in a limo with secret service agents to fire your starting gun, appears on the 7th tee to give some pointers and pose for pictures, shows up to make a foreign policy speech at your banquet, or all of the above and more, your guests will have a grand and unforgettable experience. Stage presentations run the gamut from comedic and musical to dramatic and motivational. John's performances not only entertain your guests but inspire them to focus on the purposes and themes of your gathering. John will work with you personally to develop just the right performance elements for your event. His flexible approach allows for periods of spontaneous interaction, alternating with scripted performances. JOHN MORGAN travels as “the face” of President George W. Bush at corporate, comedic, and faith-based events around the world, bringing joy and inspiration to millions of astonished people who might otherwise never have an audience with America's Commander in Chief. With a small cadre of “Secret Service” agents stationed around him, John nods his head and greets the crowd with the President's trademark Texas drawl. John's show combines his hilarious but respectful impression of President Bush with a few famous George W. faux pas, blended with a mix of parody songs and finishes up with an inspiring message about hope and determination. He elicits heartfelt laughter from both sides of the political aisle. Discovered at a “Bush For President” rally in 2000, Morgan went from selling appliances to performing at the President's Inaugural. By 2007, John was bringing his big- time comedic impersonation to arenas all across America, appearing live before tens of thousands on Sean Hannity's “Freedom Concerts” and before hundreds of thousands on “The Winter Jam Tour Spectacular,” where he amazed audiences with his guitar playing and singing. Millions more have seen him on America's Got Talent, The Family Feud, Headline News, Hannity & Colmes, E! Entertainment Network, ABC's “The View,” and The 700 Club.
