Our guiding purpose behind all of our interviews and commentary is to bring glory to God and encouragement to our listeners as we embrace our daily lives as believers, discussing and interpreting local and national events through the lens of a Biblical Worldview.

From "Podcast Row" at the US Christian Chamber's big SWC 2026 Conference, Mike interviews Rebecca Stanley, Matt Wilmoth and Elaine Lankford. Each of these leaders have a fascinating personal story of both faith in Christ, and a calling to the marketplace.

Sean Song now realizes that it was the call of God that caused him to leave China and immigrate to the US. He wasn't a Christian until he was impacted by a Campus Ministry - there, Sean found Jesus, and his purpose in life. Sean, along with our other two guests - Chuck Worley, and Jacob Dyke - all took part in the recent US Christian Chamber conference in Orlando.

Three interesting interviews lined up, starting and ending with some Central Florida business leaders. Morris Hartley leads a Central Florida beverage business called H and H Products, and he tells an amazing story of faith at work in the marketplace. Another prominent leader who works with business leaders, helping them integrate their faith into those reached by their businesses. Finally, local trainer, consultant and business coach Ana Maria Lowry drops by Mike's booth on Podcast Row.

Former Fox 35 Morning Anchor Ryan Elijah recently resigned his high-profile position in Central Florida's media market in order to become a candidate for the US House. Ryan explains the process that led to his decision, and shares what he sees to be the hurdles he will encounter in the Congress should he win. Also, from the recent "SWC US Christian Chamber Conference," Jim Schneider and Candace Rockel.

Garrett Bryant, a youth pastor and leader in "Prayer at the Heart" on how God is moving among the Gen Z age group; Mother/Daughter actresses Denise Gossett and Riley Beeson, stars of "Sugarcreek Amish Mysteries," give the back story on their first season on UPtv, which is also available to stream on UP Faith & Family. SWC 2026 brought together a plethora of speakers, coaches and business experts. The host for the conference is the US Christian Chamber, led by Krystal Parker (Krystal hosts "The Shepherd At Work" on the Shepherd). In this episode, Mike interviews conference speakers and participants - Stephen Scoggins, one of the keynote speakers, talks to business leaders from around the world with his "One Part Lion, One Part Lamb" philosophy, believing that as leaders re-align their hearts and minds with God, their businesses will improve. Also, Chris Young and Loree Cameron.

Sammy Duda leads the famous Duda Farm Fresh Foods, a four generation company founded by Sammy's great-grandfather. They are celebrating 100 years as a company in 2026, and Sammy shares on how faith shaped this Central Florida company. Plus, well-know "car guy" and car wax president Barry Meguiar shares how to ignite your life.

A true prodigy, Adlan Cruz's parents knew their son was gifted by the time he was 3. With an incredible musician's ear, Adlan grew rapidly and became a classical pianist by age 12, conquering the masters including Bach and Beethoven. Adlan has performed in 64 countries around the world, and is still going strong. Author and former pastor Dr. Douglas Small shares his conviction regarding prayer, and his organization is calling for 1 million people to pray for 1 million souls.

Dr. Clara Walters is a Central Florida gem! She has racked up numerous "firsts" in the field of education in her career that began in the mid-60s. Today, she continues her amazing journey as the board chair of Central Florida Leadership Academy, an innovative charter school led by Principal Maria Cameron. Both visit the studio in this episode.

In a return visit to the Shepherd studios, Kevin and Maria Kringle have a special sparkle in their eyes, and it is clear to see that they love serving the Lord and their church. In this episode, they share thoughts on Easter, while giving us a look into the many ministries held at Calvary Orlando.

Andy Searles is a regular guest on Mike's show - the delightful pastor who hails from the UK leads Church Together in Casselberry, Florida, and is one of the more community focused pastors you will meet. Andy and Mike discuss the importance of Easter. Also, Mike welcomes longtime author Ray Moore in discussing some concerning laws being introduced in the country that have a negative impact on homeschooling.

Michelle Archival returns - she is from Covenant Journey Academy, with news of a special event coming soon that is all part of the 250th Anniversary of our nation. Marlene Sands from Liberty Counsel shares news of their upcoming gala, as does Christian Tech Center founder Andre Klass.

Mike interviews Kristine (whose last name is withheld as a measure of safety for those in countries where she ministers.) David Simms and his wife were impacted deeply by a missions work in Haiti...and that season motivated them to a new direction. David founded Talanton, providing solutions to global problems, especially in Africa. He shares his amazing story. Also, now a candidate for Governor in Florida, Lt. Gov. Jay Collins drops by the Shepherd Studio to discuss his reasons for entering this critical race, while also giving us a few glimpses on his military life of service.

Nathan Weaver leads PETRA WORLDWIDE out of his Seminole County office. They are on a special mission with a niche of serving churches and Christian non-profits, strengthening their ministries while being a critical resource for the business side of their organization. Nathan also shared some great insights on AI - the big buzz word of late.

John Evans is widely known in Central Florida for many things, such as being a pastor, his work in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and being the PA Announcer for the UCF Knights. Now, he and his wife Kathryn have stepped out in faith to form "Voices and Choices," a non-profit that is dedicated to strengthening family relationships and personal growth. It has been about 3 years since Josh Laxton assumed the role as Senior Pastor at Northland Church, one of Orlando's most well-known congregations. A conservative newspaper has caught the attention of millions across the globe - "The Epoch Times" offers readers a glimpse into world happenings from a conservative viewpoint. Board Chair Janice Trey shares her own personal saga, and the impact this newspaper is bringing. Also, a return visit from Dr. Russ Jones, formerly of the Abide app, and now a College Professor.

Author Karen Park shares her amazing story of being rescued from a life of abuse as outlined in her new book, "SHIM: AGAINST ALL ODDS YOU CAN PREVAIL." Also, Rachel Plakon talks about the upcoming Florida House of Representatives session that begins on Jan. 12. Finally, a return visit with author/publisher Jacquelyn Lynn.

Shane Kohout is a pastor at Metro Life Church in Casselberry, and in the last year, he has also assumed the role of Executive Director of CFI - Community Flourishing Initiative, a non-profit organization that organizes churches, businesses and individuals in outreach to the community. Mike kicks off the new year discussing this organization.

Closing out the show for 2025 is a regular guest to the Shepherd Studios and Mike's show...Pastor Andy Searles leads CHURCH TOGETHER in Casselberry, and he offers some great thoughts as we close out this year and anticipate the next.

Bob Pickett, one of the featured singers in "Christmas Is," returns to discuss this year's performance, held on Dec. 6 at Sanctuary Church in Orlando. Also in this episode - a first-time chat with Pastor William Devlin, a pastor discussing Christian persecution across the globe.

Florida holds a widely held distinction as "The Free State of Florida," greatly due to its strong and wise leadership through the pandemic and business-friendly approach to government. Next year is a big one for our state, as our governor will term out. Paul Renner, former FL Speaker of the House has entered the gubernatorial race, and shares his thoughts in this episode. Also, business leader/CEO/author Douglas Shaw talks about his new book, "Curative Culture."

The Shepherd is happily participating with the Apopka Chief newspaper in the "Light the Way Holiday Drive," a collections effort to benefit two Non-Profits in the Apopka/Orange County area. Special guests from both charities are with Mike in this episode, including Shelley Bradford from "Matthew's Hope," and Lory Reeves from "Loaves and Fishes." Also, discussing Thanksgiving, Dr. Jerry Newcombe from Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church and leader of the "Providence Forum."

One of Mike's favorite ministries is the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and on today's show, he visits with the FCA Director for Osceola County - Franklin Munoz. Franklin grew up in the Dominican Republic, played baseball for Penn State, and was introduced to the ministry of FCA. The Shepherd is excited to be part of "The Critter Campaign," a unique way for American families to take part in World Missions by purchasing needed farm animals and supplies for needy families in Asia and Africa. Bishop Daniel leads GFA World, and he is Mike's guest in the first segment. Also, talks with Ken and Mary Sue Grein as they tell their story about their son Jacob, and finally a visit from Janice Woody from the long-running children's outreach known as The Orlando Children's Church.

We have had the pleasure of having Kim M. Clark on Mike's show several times, and today she returns with a client - Pastiche Graham, author of "Pia Pistachio" - a children's book that deals with autism. Pastiche learned years ago that she too is on the spectrum, and she is using this book to highlight what she has learned about its impact in our culture. Plus, an interview with evangelist Will Graham, Billy Graham's grandson. Finally, Welton James returns, talking about Christian Help in Casselberry.

According to doctor's expectations at the time, Mark Nelson should not be alive today. But he is, powerfully and miraculously healed. He shares his amazing story, and brings news from Exchange Ministries, where he serves as Executive Director. Also, a return visit from Holly Newton, who has been on Mike's previous show (Afternoons With Mike) many times. Holly leads "She Lives Fearless," and talks about her new podcast.

An old saying encourages believers in Jesus to be more concerned about the depth of our ministry as opposed to the breadth. Pastor Andy Searles lives his life with that in mind, and shares today on our need to be in a deep relationship with Jesus. Also, Pete Kirchhoff is with the national office of Youth For Christ, and he visits with Mike.

Charlie was incredibly influential as a broadcaster, and here to discuss his impact is the President of the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), Troy Miller. Plus, Mike visits with Alec Jessee from Chad Barr Law on their upcoming golf tourney that benefits veterans.

We are all hurting from the tragedy of September 10, 2025 - the shooting of activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. Mike looks back on Charlie's legacy, from an interview at the 2022 CPAC event, as well as an interview with Charlie's wife Erika. Also, a visit with gas and oil industry leader Matt Coday, who was near President Trump on that Butler, PA stage in July 2024. Finally, business leader Thomas Walker shares his faith and enthusiasm for marketplace ministry.

Glenn Baker is many things, including a veteran, Gospel Singer, Country Singer, and an author. His new book, "Finish This Fight," gives straight out solutions to some of veteran's biggest problems. Also, Ken and Mary Sue Grein on their son Jacob, who lived much longer than doctor's had imagined...and the impact that his life had on those who loved him. Finally, a discussion with filmmaker Nina May.

Rob Maaddi knows NFL football - AND its players. That comes in handy for his weekly radio show called "Faith on the Field," heard on the Shepherd. Rob is the head NFL writer for the Associated Press, a title that carries the obvious impression that he is indeed an expert...and he is. Plus, a return visit from author Jacquelyn Lynn on her Christian Business Almanac, and also a conversation with Country Star Ricky Skaggs.

The Annual Kickoff Classic event held by FCA in NorthCentral Florida was hit from the beginning, drawing schools, coaches and athletes to Gainesville for an incredible rally, with full-on worship led by an energetic band, a sumptuous free meal provided by Sonny's Barbeque, and a powerful message from a top speaker. The 2025 event featured former NFL great Steve Fitzhugh. Mike was in the lobby with the Shepherd's mobile studio all ready, and caught great interviews with Gator great Patric Young, FCA's David Barber and Noah Wilbanks, and GHS Coach Cepeda Lewis. Three outstanding women of God share their stories with Mike in this episode. Lizzie Morgan is a well-known and very talented singer, known for her work with Maverick City and on tour with Lauren Daigle. Her new album is ready to release. Kathy Gratto is the Executive Director of SIRA Women's Clinic in Gainesville, and finally Faith Broussard Cade talks about Season 4 of "Jesus Calling," a show that is on the UP FAITH & FAMILY network.

Rick Robins has a long history in working with Non-Profits, and he has brought that experience to a major ministry in Central Florida. Christian Help reaches a great number of people in Seminole County and beyond, helping those who are needing food - but so much more. They assist those needing a better paying job to bolster their experience, tutoring them to become gainfully employed, while also serving by providing one of the area's most robust job fairs. Rick is joined by Welton James, joining Mike in this episode.

In spite of the questions and confusion around the topic of hearing from God, the Bible still has much to say about living our lives while walking by and with the Holy Spirit. How do we hear from God? Are the gifts mentioned in the New Testament for us? These topics are discussed with Pastor Pat McGuffin from Freedom Fellowship, and a member of his church, author and teacher Dr. Ray Self.

On this edition of "The Mike Gilland Show," Mike talks with Christian Musician Seph Schlueter about his new album, and his path to being a professional musician. His latest album came out in July of 2025, and is producing a lot of interest.
