Part of our summer recess series, this episode features a chat between Martin and young Mike about the future Ryder Cup venue, Adare Manor. Home of the JP McManus Pro Am which saw the first interactions between players following defections from the established tours to the Saudi funded LIV Golf. This episode ignores all that and focuses on the venue and our recent experiences playing the course and staying in the hotel. Things have taken a wild turn in Adare. It seems like the golfers and celebs that came to Adare for the JP McManus Pro-Am won't leave. Things are so bad that they've called Noni in to help. We're not sure just how much help she actually is though!
On this week's edition of the podcast there was no shortage of talking points, from the future of the Irish Open to the JP McManus Pro-Am and the Open at St Andrews. Mount Juliet was an undoubted success but would a date change appeal to the game's best players given how they lapped up all things Irish in Adare? JP's Pro-Am set the world alight, not least because of Tiger Woods' return to Ireland. We wonder if this year's Open Championship might be his last? And we round-up all the action elsewhere too, including a first on the island – the inaugural Irish Open for Golfers with a Disability at Roganstown. As ever, we hope you enjoy the listen. Don't forget to subscribe and let us know what you think.

JT Poston went wire to wire for his second career victory this past week at the John Deere Classic and he now qualifies for The Open Championship. Nick had one of the best weeks you could possibly have from a personal standpoint and golf standpoint. He explains in the 'Birdie & Bogey of the Week' segment. A few LIV Golf players will now be permitted to play in the Scottish Open this upcoming week after winning a legal battle in court. Nick and Sam give their picks for the Scottish Open which sees its strongest field of all time. Tiger Woods played 36 holes in the JP McManus Pro-Am as he gears up for The Open. Lastly, the show wraps up with an interesting question that Nick and Sam disagree on.

I've been meaning to cover Women's Golf as a whole since I started the podcast. Not women golfers, I try and do that as best I can (Hazel Kavangh, Beth Coulter, Lauren Walsh, Mary Doyle, Rebecca Codd, Olivia Mehaffey etc) I mean the whole area of womens golf in golf clubs and in the golf industry itself. The reasons why women don't generally play. How do golf clubs and culture need to change. What do men do that annoy women golfers. Why women are better than men at golf. Questions women have before getting started. I've tried cover as many bases in today's episode! I must also thank Jen Feighery and Noelle Francisco for their time and contributing to today's episode. The winners of the Masters giveaway are listed in today's episode as well as information about how you can win one of two JP McManus Pro-Am cap tickets!
