As we examine the parable of the rich man an Lazarus, Pastor Rob Curington shows how judgment comes to those who ignore the words of Jesus.

The devotional contrasts Cain and Enoch to highlight the fundamental difference between approaching God through human effort and through divine revelation. Cain, rejecting God's prescribed sacrifice of blood, offered his own works, symbolizing self-reliance and ultimately being separated from God's presence. In contrast, Enoch walked in intimate fellowship with God, demonstrating faith in God's redemptive plan and receiving divine blessing. The passage emphasizes that true worship and relationship with God are rooted in obedience to His revealed way—through sacrifice, not human achievement. The call is clear: choose faith in God's provision, not self-righteousness, and walk in communion with Him, as Enoch did, to experience His blessing and presence.
