A few weeks ago, Apogy founder Jessica Crow asked her LinkedIn network if they had any examples of companies that went through a major transformational change and did it well. Bill Kirst, an author, poet, podcast host, tech leader, and one of LinkedIn's Top Thought Leadership Voices on Change Management, responded, “I can share that organizations like American AgCredit and Northwest Farm Credit Services did well through transformational change. Kudos to great leaders like Kay Meyer, Emilie Suess, Kenneth Alford for their focus on the people side of change while transforming the organization with technology.” Eager to hear more, Jessica asked Bill if he would share more about his experience. In this special episode of Change Leader Insights, Jessica Crow speaks with Bill Kirst about the impact his engagement with the organizations he mentioned had on him and what made their transformations successful. During the conversation, Jessica and Bill said, “Those two organizations in agricultural lending are made up of really amazing humans, and I think if you start with a place of positive intent, and you have the desire to leave the world better than you found it, I think you can go through any transformation.” Be sure to listen in to hear more about Bill's experiences and tips for achieving success in your change transformations, including authentically connecting with the people you're working with and pivoting plans when needed to meet them where they are. Bill authors the monthly newsletter, “Leading Change in the Era of AI,” posing powerful questions while untangling the complex concerns from the profound promises of this generation's most disruptive innovation - AI. Bill has worked at Adobe, Microsoft, IBM, University of Washington and for nearly two decades has led companies, institutions and government agencies through digital transformation journeys. He sits on the Alumni Board at The Johns Hopkins University and served in the U.S. Army Reserve, finishing his service as a Captain in the Signal Corps. Bill's podcast “Coffee & Change” was selected as one of the 10 Best Military Leadership Podcasts by FeedSpot.
After being in broadcast ministry for about 40 years, Kay Meyer is about to take a step back, and we know what that means--she's gonna find something else to do. "I'm waiting on the Lord to open doors," answered Kay. That's right. But after 40 years, she has had an amazing track record with all sorts of guests and all sorts of topics and all sorts of opportunities that the Lord has opened up. So this is our part three of a showcase of Kay Meyer, the founder and minister behind and under Family Shield Ministries. She has washed our feet through broadcasting and ministry for 40 years, and that includes you, our listeners, and me, a podcast host, and Mark Frith, who's also a pastor and in the house to help us showcase the tremendous impact and to do the highlight reel of Kay Meyer's ministry, throughout all the ways God has blessed her to use her voice to speak His Word. So it's weird for me to say this as I'm looking at Kay Meyer, but welcome to Family Shield Ministries.
Family Shield Ministries is based on Ephesians 6 – the shield of faith, not just for us but in ancient times sometimes shields are so big that they would interlock with the shield of the person next to you or it's a big shield where he could protect not just yourself but like God, the mighty fortress. And so Family Shield Ministries from the very beginning and all along the way, has been about shielding the family under your care as God shields all of us, including your people, as a part of his family. So welcome to Family Shield Ministries. Today we are on part 2 of a special series with Kay Meyer and Rev. Mark Frith, who are both here with us on the microphone and we are looking at the impact that Family Shield Ministries has had. We're going to give a little bit behind the scenes look from Family Shield Ministries to share with everybody who it is, why it's going, and why it needs to continue. So in studio is Kay Meyer. If you are a follower of Family Shield Ministries she is no stranger to you. I would encourage you to go listen to Part 1 to hear the back story of Kay Meyer. But today it is about you, our listener, and the impacts that Family Shield Ministries is making.
Right now it is so easy to just get in your car in the garage, open the door, drive out, go about your life in your own cubicle, in your own little lane, and your own office, and then drive, home park in your garage, put the garage door down, and then then you just go inside and take care of your own family. But today we have an incredible opportunity to spend some time with somebody who refused to park in the garage and just keep her nose to herself and just keep her nose out of everybody else's business. We have the gift of a woman who got involved in everybody's family, everybody's family business to bring them to be much more of a part of the family of God; not just to be themselves but to be in partnership. So today I have the incredible blessing to share a microphone with Mark Frith, who's also in studio, and the famous, the sacred, the precious Kay Meyer.
Why do parents of prodigals experience heartache and pain when their child either stops attending church or leaves the faith? How can a church begin a small group for parents of prodigals? What do you do as you begin your group? What topics do you cover? Today my guest on Family Shield are Dawn and Scott Mueller. They began a small group after one of their children informed them she was no longer interested in attending church or having faith in Christ. This is Kay Meyer, president of Family Shield Ministries and your host for today's program.
Hello and welcome to Family Shield Ministries. We are on mission to help families walk together and with each other, and of course to walk with God. I'm Pastor Mark Femmel, part of the Family Shield Ministries crew, and I am blessed to share the microphone, usually blessed by Kay Meyer. Today we have once again, a special guest David Brickner, who is the Executive Director of a pretty wonderful ministry, especially if you were listening last time, of all the wonderful doors that God is opening through the Old Testament. Executive Director of Jews for Jesus, which is an International Ministry out of San Francisco. So this episode is a promise kept, last time we were with David Brickner, and he and I were talking about all the overlap, all the distinctions, and also just how to share the Faith with your Jewish neighbor, doctor, lawyer, cousin, friend, teacher, student, and it was a great conversation in my opinion. We talked about the cultural uniqueness and layers and history of Judaism. We also talked about what that word in your New Testament, Christ, and that Old Testament word, Messiah, what that actually means.

Mary Bignotti Mendez is a multi-talented lady who has been involved with the NTT IndyCar Series for many years. In fact, she comes from Indy car royalty as her dad, George Bignotti, won the “500” seven times as a chief mechanic! Her dad also married Kay Meyer whose father Louis was the first, three-time winner of the Indy 500. These days you'll find her in the media/press room writing stories about the series on her laptop, or in the pit and paddock area running her RPM Tours business. With that, she gives VIP tours to team sponsors and others that really want to learn about what makes this sport tick from the inside. We sat down with Mary at the 2023 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach where she gives us her background, some cool and interesting stories, and also gives some advice to young women looking to get involved in the sport. Enjoy! NOTE: This is the first in a series of “Women in Motorsports” podcast interviews. September is the month that Fast Lane Racing School will highlight the diversity of roles that women play in the motorsports industry.
