In this episode Greg and Joe look at a mostly forgotten but unique SNES game -- Operation Logic Bomb! The sequel to the Game Boy title Forbidden Zone, this top down shooter plays like Metroid mixed with Contra as you explore a base, open doors, and blast bad guys. We discuss the game and what makes it unique and how it holds up. Any questions, comments, etc can be left on our FB page or e-mailed to thesnespodcast@yahoo.com and as always thanks for your support! The SNES Podcast is part of the Geekade network! It's time to talk about Koei for the very last time. Yup, we're calling it a day on covering Koei games (with possibly a few exceptions) as we just can't wrap our heads around them. We'll explain more in the episode. But, for games we are going to talk about, we've got Mortal Kombat and Operation Logic Bomb. Mortal Kombat is a port of the classic arcade game that looses the blood. Is there anything that can redeem this defanged fighting classic? Well... you'll just have to give it a listen. We also discuss Jaleco's Operation Logic Bomb. It's a top-down shooter with... something going on. We'll talk about this one and whether or not we think it's worth your time. Enjoy!

Logic bombs rarely have warning sounds. The victims mostly don't know to expect one. And even when a logic bomb is discovered before it's triggered, there isn't always enough time to defuse it. But there are ways to stop them in time. Paul Ducklin recounts the race to defuse the CIH logic bomb—and the horrible realization of how widespread it was. Costin Raiu explains how logic bombs get planted, and all the different kinds of damage they can do. And Manuel Egele shares some strategies for detecting logic bombs before their conditions are met.If you want to read up on some of our research on logic bombs, you can check out all our bonus material over at redhat.com/commandlineheroes. Operation Logic Bomb! So that has to be some kind of puzzle game? No? An over the top shooter?! Well, okay. Tyler, Dave and Ian dive into this Nintendo Switch Online game that probably should have been called Geometry Contra. There may be quite a bit at the beginning about Lego video games, Mike Tyson’s … Continue reading → The post Ep. 628 – Operation Logic Bomb appeared first on TADPOG: Tyler and Dave Play Old Games.
This week Earl and Jurek play Operation Logic Bomb for the Super Nintendo! This is a game that neither of the guys have ever played before and it turns out they weren't missing much! The game plays well enough and the music is fine, but it's just a little boring. There are better "search and destroy" type games on the SNES, but this one will do in a pinch! The guys also have a lively discussion about food! Come have a drink with us! Cheers! NOTE: This episode was recorded on Saturday April 24, 2021. It happened faster than we thought, but we are now officially on the "every-other week" release schedule. This episode is releasing a little earlier than planned so you Revelers have a little time to learn about what we're doing on the off-weeks! We talk about it in the episode, but please join me (Earl) at twitch.tv/retrogamingrevelry every-other Friday starting this Friday April 30th at 7pm US central time! I'll be streaming retro games and hanging out with you, the Revelers! For now I'll be playing retro games on the switch, so if you have one too, we can play online together! I'd love to see as many of you there as possible! It should be a fun time! Don't forget the whiskey! Hopefully see you on Friday, Revelers! Thanks for listening! ~Earl
We sit down and talk with 2 Rainbow Six Siege developers about what is coming in year 6 of Rainbow Six Siege.
If you've ever wanted to hear two people start a discussion about a game by saying, "There isn't anything about it that's really bad," but then dump on it for the next 45 minutes anyway, this is your episode. Jump Force, Dragon Quest spinoffs, Battletoads, and Triscuits share the spotlight this week on the Retro Breakdown. Tom talks about the games he's been dusting off to finish, and Dean gushes about the new Battletoads reboot and its ability to do every genre reasonably well. Afterwards, we jump into a breakdown of Operation Logic Bomb, which gets deemed "the okayest game I've ever played." --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/retrobreakdown/support

Gimme a beat! Logic Bomb was founded in the mid-nineties by Johan Krafft and Jonas Pettersson in Sweden. Their style: psychedelic trance/ambient. Their biggest hit is arguably 'Ansi'. We noticed their music while clicking through the iTunes Store and looking for music by System 7. The illustration for the 'Sonic Algebra' album flew by and we tried a few.... wow! Our new Sennheiser HD280 PRO liked it too! It was a sonic experience that gave us an enormous joy and adrenalin and so we wanted to share this act with you, too. [ad#post-ad] The Jukebox plays 'Reverser' and it comes from their album 'Sonic Algebra'. a Musthave for trance-and-dance lovers out there and audiophiles like we are...! Playing this episode "Extremely" loud is absolutely the best, let your car stereo run through some tests and let your ears rest a while afterwards... ;-) Buy the album directly from iTunes here. There are a lot of dirty and destructive pieces of software out there, but a logic bomb may cause some of the most damage. Triggered by the smallest of events, logic bombs can wreck computers, networks, and even an organization's precious profits. In this tip from our Ask the Experts section, contributor Ed Skoudis explains how to prepare for a hacker's detonation.
