De Vuelta 2020 is beslist! Primoz Roglic wint net als vorig jaar de laatste grote ronde en hoewel de mannen van Kop over Kop in de Vuelta dat wel zagen aankomen, werd het toch nog een heel spannend slotstuk. Aanvallen van Carapaz en Carthy brachten ‘Roga' even aan het wankelen, maar hij viel uiteindelijk niet om. De man van de dag was echter Ide Schelling. Op de slotklim reed hij kilometers op kop, bekkie en jassie wagenwijd open. Hij belt live in bij Sander Valentijn, Jeroen Vanbelleghem, Jan Hermsen en Bobbie Traksel en vertelt hoe en waarom die dat deed. Ook laat Ide zijn licht schijnen over hoe de Vuelta voor hem is verlopen en hoe zijn toekomst eruit ziet, zowel deze winter als volgend seizoen. Een heerlijk klein kwartiertje dus met de held van de 17e etappe! Uiteraard behandelen de mannen verder nog de Madrid Challenge, het EK veldrijden en de etappe van zondag in Madrid. Die 20. und vorletzte Etappe der Vuelta a España gewinnt Tadej Pogacar von UAE Team Emirates. Das 195 Kilometer lange Eintragesrennen "Coppa Agostoni" gewinnt UAE Team Emirates Fahrer Alexandr Riabusheno. Mathieu van der Poel gewinnt die OVO Energy Tour of Britain 2019. Das 9,3 Kilometer Einzelzeitfahren der Madrid Challenge by La Vuelta gewinnt WNT Rotor Fahrerin Lisa Brennauer. Marianne Vos von CCC gewinnt auch die zweite 139 Kilometer lange Etappe der Tour Cycliste Feminine International de l‘Ardèche.
