Nieru vēzis atņem dzīvības, ārsti mudina laicīgi un regulāri veikt pārbaudes, lai konstatētu izmaiņas un veiksmīgāk atklātu onkoloģiskās saslimšanas un ārstētu, kad tas nepieciešams.  "Globāli - saslimstība pieaug, bet nāves gadījumi pakāpeniski samazinās, tas ir pateicoties tam, ka cilvēki laicīgi vēršas pie ģimenes ārsta, veic izmeklējumus, dara standarta izmeklējumus - asins analīzes, vēdera dobuma sonogrāfija, slimības tiek laicīgi atrastas un ārstētas. Ir labs iznākums," norāda Juris Jansons. Riska faktori nieru vēzim ir augsts asinsspiediens, aptaukošanās un smēķēšana.

Karostas ūdenstornī Liepājā nedēļas nogalē norisināsies laikmetīgās kamermūzikas koncertu cikls “Ūdenstornī san”. Cikla mākslinieciskais vadītājs, komponists Ernests Vilsons izveidojis koncertu programmu, kas izcels gan jauno latviešu komponistu oriģināldarbus, gan šīs unikālās vēsturiskās celtnes akustiskās nianses. „Patiesībā to ir grūti salīdzināt. Iespējams, līdzīga sajūta varētu būt baznīcā. Šī būtu tāda ne-baznīcas vieta ar līdzīgu akustiku. Bet vizuāli, arhitektoniski tā ir pavisam citāda struktūra,” stāsta Vilsons, īpaši izceļot arī ūdenstorņa vēsturi. „Karostas ūdenstornis būvēts 20. gadsimta pašā sākumā – laikposmā no 1903. līdz 1905. gadam – militārās pilsētas Karostas vajadzībām un lielāko daļu pagājušā gadsimta kalpojis kā ūdenstornis. (..) Tas beidza funkcionēt kā ūdenstornis tikai 1989. gadā. Kopš tā laika tas ir tādā nenoteiktā stāvoklī, to uztur "Liepājas ūdens". Viņi ir atbildīgi un rūpējas, lai tur viss būtu kārtībā, lai šī vide reizēm būtu pieejama arī apmeklētājiem, un ir brīži, kad tas ir apmeklēts. Pats esmu bijis ūdenstornī arī agrāk – gan kā viesis, gan pirms astoņiem gadiem piedaloties mākslinieku Karostas ūdenstorņa projektā. Toreiz man bija iespēja veidot un sarakstīt šim ūdenstornim skaņdarbu četrām balsīm. Tā bija unikāla iespēja – rakstīt darbu tajā pašā telpā, kurā tas vēlāk koncertā tika atskaņots. Akustika ir ļoti spēcīga ūdenstorņa daļa. Protams, baltās sienas un milzu apjoms ir pirmais, ko mēs, ūdenstornī ieejot, uzreiz pamanām. Bet arī tas, kā tas skan! Kāda ir atbalss, cik plaši skaņa izskan un cik ilgi tā kavējas!” Ernests Vilsons stāsta, ka koncertos piedalīsies ar Liepāju saistīti mūziķi: perkusionisti Marta Kauliņa-Pelnēna, Reinis Tomiņš, Matīss Skarēvičs, Berči stīgu kvartets. Sarunā vairāk arī par Karostas koncertu programmām un pirmatskaņojumiem, gan mūzikas autoriem, kuri arī cieši saistīti ar Liepāju, par telpu, kurā skanēs mūzika, klausītāju interesi un meistarklasēm.

Ve třetí epizodě podcastu V producentské dílně jsem přivítal producenta, bubeníka a svého dlouholetého kamaráda Tomáše Neuwertha. Tomáš je osobnost, která ve světě české hudby zanechala výraznou stopu. Jako studiový hráč i producent má za sebou nepřeberné množství nahrávek napříč žánry a styly. Současně je i velmi vyhledávaným spoluhráčem, pravidelně vystupuje s kapelami jako Tata Bojs, Kafka Band, Umakart nebo momentálně odpočívajícím Zvířetem jménem Podzim. Dlouhodobě spolupracuje také s Jakubem Königem alias Kittchenem. Využil jsem této vzácné příležitosti a ptal se Tomáše na jeho přístup k nahrávání a produkci bubnů. Zajímalo mě, co všechno ovlivňuje jeho kreativní proces při práci na nové skladbě. Odkud čerpá inspiraci, jakou roli hraje zvuková kvalita nástrojů nebo akustika prostoru a co by poradil méně zkušeným bubeníkům, kteří se snaží mít co nejlepší zvuk. Rozebrali jsme i časté chyby, kterých se čeští bubeníci při nahrávání dopouštějí, a Tomáš své postřehy ilustroval konkrétními příklady a vzpomínkami z natáčení, což jeho odpovědi činí o to cennějšími. Každý projekt si zaslouží své studio Tomáš je také majitelem nahrávacího studia Animan, které se nachází v malebném prostředí moravskoslezských Beskyd, na hranici mezi městy Kopřivnice a Štramberk. Přestože má vlastní technické zázemí, s chutí a otevřeností navštěvuje i jiná nahrávací studia, například vyhlášené studio SONO, 3bees nahrávací studio, nebo slovenské Birdland Studio. Jak sám říká, výběr správného nahrávacího prostředí je zcela zásadní a měl by být jedním z prvních kroků, které producent učiní ještě před samotným začátkem nahrávání. Každý hudební projekt má totiž svou vlastní atmosféru, zvukové potřeby a energii a to vše by mělo být zohledněno i při volbě studia. „Nejdůležitější je to, co leze z repráků.“ Tuto trefnou větu rád cituje z úst Andrewa Schepse, legendárního amerického producenta a zvukaře, jehož práce i životní filozofie jsou pro Tomáše stálým zdrojem inspirace. Schepsův důraz na výsledek, na to, co skutečně slyšíme, je mu blízký. Je jedno, jaký mikrofon použijete nebo jaká značka je na zesilovači, důležité je, jaký dojem zanechá finální nahrávka. Součástí epizody je i ukázka Tomášovy produkční práce, konkrétně skladba „See“ od kapely Froples. Tomáš aktuálně pracuje na nové hudbě s kapelou The Shookies, připravuje také nový materiál s Kafka Bandem a teprve nedávno spatřila světlo světa jeho čerstvá spolupráce s Matějem Belkem a Jamesem Harriesem – skladba Shivers Down My Spine, která je dalším důkazem jeho hráčské citlivosti a schopnosti dotýkat se lidských emocí skrze zvuk písniček. Pokud vás zajímá, co všechno stojí za vznikem autentické a funkční hudební produkce, tahle epizoda vás určitě nezklame. Tomáš Neuwerth otevřeně sdílí své zkušenosti, vnitřní pocity i praktické rady a to vše s nadhledem, pokorou, lehkostí a obrovským zápalem pro hudbu.

Kopā ar vīru Jāni Lejiņu sarakstījusi grāmatu "Straupes pilskungi", kas lielā mērā bija sākotnēji iecerēta kā scenārijs. Ja radošam cilvēkam enerģija plūst pāri malām, bet vairs nav iespēju filmēt televīzijā, tad jārodas kam jaunam – tā Virdžīnija Lejiņa radīja dokumentālo filmu par aktrisi Elvīru Baldiņu "Es esmu runājusi. Elvīra Baldiņa". Par latviešu aktrisi, kura aizgāja mūžībā 105. gadu vecumā, kura esot mācējusi ar tautasdziesmām vien izvadīt. Viņai vispār bija tautasdziesmas katram dzīves gadījumam. Tagad Virdžīnija Lejiņa (draugu un kolēģu saukta par Džīnu) ir grāmatas autore. Tās nosaukums „Reizēm. Vienmēr. Nekad." Grāmatas pirmajā lappusē ir Marģera Zariņa citāts: „Kur tas vējš aprakts un no kuras puses tas suns pūš? Labs jautājums." Virdžīnijas Lejiņas romānu "Reizēm. Vienmēr. „Es gleznoju ar caurspīdīgumu,” saka māksliniece Līva Graudiņa, kuras eļļas gleznas caurstrāvo silta gaisma un garos dabas pārgājienos tvertas emocijas. Graudiņas izstāde „Gaismas atmiņa” sadarbībā ar vizuālo mākslinieci Katrīnu Martu Riņķi pašlaik skatāma Cēsu Vecajā alus brūzī pilsētas pašā centrā. * Māksliniece LĪva Graudiņa mūs viesmīlīgi sagaida pie durvīm pagalmā aiz mākslas telpas „Mala”. Atrast ieeju vecā alus brūža kādreizējās ražošanas telpās nav pašsaprotami, jāseko norādēm uz izstādi „Gaismas atmiņa” un jādodas mazāk zināmā teritorijā. Tiekamies sarunu festivāla „Lampa” laikā, kad Cēsīs ir liels ļaužu pieplūdums un sabrauc arī daudz rīdzinieku. Arī pati Līva Graudiņa uz Cēsīm pārcēlusies no Rīgas, turklāt jau divreiz. Graudiņa 2008. gadā izveidoja mākslas telpu un kafejnīcu „Mala”, kuras dzīvi tagad turpina citi cēsnieki – Kristīne Auniņa un Alberto di Dženaro. Bet Līva atgriezusies „Malā” ar izstādi, kas pārsteidz ar savu plašumu – gan izstādīto darbu skaita, gan sajūtu ziņā, jo Vecā alus brūža otrais stāvs devis māksliniecei tādu brīvību kā reti kura izstāžu zāle. „Es ceru, ka mana nākamā izstāde nebūs pēc sešiem gadiem, bet agrāk, un tad es varētu ieiet arī mazā telpā. Bet, ja es sešus gadus neesmu taisījusi izstādi, man tomēr gribas veidot telpu. Gribas apjomu, brīvību, un šeit man deva iespēju pilnīgi brīvi darīt ko un kā es vēlos. Es šeit biju divus mēnešus, un kur gan vēl būtu tāda iespēja – ka tu vari divus mēnešus sēdēt un domāt, kā tam ir jābūt.” Turklāt sešos gados gleznu un tajās ielikto emociju bija sakrājies tik daudz, ka tās vajadzēja izlikt, lai ļautu sev iet uz priekšu, saka māksliniece. Izstādes apskati mēs sākam it kā no otra gala, jo dziļākajā telpā aiz aizkara māksliniece radījusi iespēju skatītājiem pašiem paņemt rokās izstādē neiekļautās gleznas un veidot pašiem savas kompozīcijas. Šis risinājums daudz ko pastāsta par Līvas Graudiņas pieeju gleznošanai un attieksmi pret skatītāju. „Visiem patīk redzēt to, kas nav izlikts pie sienām. Te ir plauktiņi, kur cilvēki paši var pacilāt gleznas un izlikt tās, kā vēlas. Jo gleznu man ir diezgan daudz,” smaida māksliniece. „Biju domājusi, ka varbūt jānoliek baltie cimdiņi, bet tad sāka likties, ka tas būs uzreiz kā muzejā. Es strādāju ar slapju un caurspīdīgu krāsu, tāpēc manas gleznas top vienā reizē, jo nevaru turpināt, kad krāsa ir nožuvusi – tad darbs paliek smagnējs. Tāpēc gleznas top diezgan ātri, to ir diezgan daudz un, lai arī katra no tām man ir svarīga, man pret tām nav muzeja attieksmes. Un es, protams, uzticos cilvēkiem, ka viņi gleznas nesabojās.” Daļā no izstādē izliktajām gleznām skaidrāk saskatāmi dabas ainavu motīvi, citas ir abstraktākas, bet Līva Graudiņa apstiprina, ka daba ir visa pamatā. Un katrā gleznā koncentrētas emocijas no kādas viņas uzņemtas fotogrāfijas. „Nosaukums „Gaismas atmiņa” ir veidojies no domas, ka man tā iešana dabā – es eju viena, diezgan garos pārgājienos, kad vien man tas ir iespējams – tā ir tāda izlaušanās. Un tad ir mirkļi, kuros es piedzīvoju šīs gaismas atmiņas, kas man pēc tam paliek. Fotogrāfiju es izmantoju, tikai lai palīdzētu atcerēties to momentu, gaismu un sajūtu. Jo tai brīdī, kad esmu ārā viena pati, ir sajūta, ka viss atveras vaļā un es visu jūtu pastiprināti. Tas ir tas skaistais mirklis, un varbūt tas izklausās banāli, bet tas vienkārši ir tas, kas notiek.” Mākslinieces stāstīto spilgti ilustrē kāda pie sienas atslieta glezna, kas saspēlējas ar telpas vidū izliktu zaru krāvumu. „Atceros, ka tolaik vēl nedzīvoju Cēsīs, tas bija Valmierā, un tās bija kāda rudens pārgājiena beigas. Gleznas esmu gleznojusi pēdējos divarpus gadus, bet fotogrāfijas man ir krājušās pēdējos sešus gadus kopš iepriekšējās izstādes. Šī ir no laika, kad mana meita bija pavisam maziņa, un tas bija viens no pirmajiem vienatnes gājieniem, kad es varēju izrauties. Ja godīgi, nebija ļoti gaišas sajūtas. Tagad es skatos uz to gleznu, un iepriekš par to nebiju aizdomājusies, bet tā arī nav ļoti gaiša. Tā ka droši vien tās stāsta un runā daudz vairāk, nekā es pati to apzinos.” Skanisku un vizuālu pulsāciju izstādei piešķir mākslinieces Katrīnas Martas Riņķes analogā kino darbi. Viņu Līva Graudiņa uzaicinājusi sadarboties izstādes tapšanā, jo gribējies to papildināt ar kustīgu gaismu. Sākumā domājusi par pašas filmētām gaismas spēlēm, bet tad Cēsu Izstāžu namā ieraudzīja Katrīnas Martas Riņķes darbus. „Ar Katrīnu satikos laikos, kad biju izveidojusi „Malu” un viņa bija jauniešu domē. Viņa ir paaudzi jaunāka par mani. Kopš tiem laikiem man par viņu bija palikusi ļoti silta sajūta. Tagad viņa ir septiņus vai astoņus gadus nostudējusi Ģentē, absolvējusi skolu un piedalījās Cēsu izstāžu nama izstādē. Ieraudzīju viņas video, sajutu to sajūtu un uzrunāju viņu.” Lai gan tie nav radīti speciāli šai izstādei, Līva Graudiņa neslēpj sajūsmu, cik precīzi šie darbi sasaucas ar sajūtu viņas gleznās. Tā kā Katrīna Marta Riņķe mūsu tikšanās laikā nav Cēsīs, lūdzu Līvai Graudiņai pastāstīt par šo simbiozi: „Viņa arī filmē dabu. Bet tas otrs, abstraktais video ir veidots, attīstot fotofilmu kafijas biezumos, un no tā veidojas tās gaismu spēles. Viņa visu ir veidojusi analogā tehnikā, un arī šajā video brīžam parādās dabas kadri, bet brīžam analogās tehnikas dēļ tie paliek arī ļoti abstrakti. Un viņa pati veido arī skaņu, kas, manuprāt, brīnišķīgi saskan ar izstādes atmosfēru.” Ekskursijas beigās Līva Graudiņa ieved mūs vēl vienā telpā, kurā koncentrēta mākslinieces šī brīža izjūta un arī darbu tapšanas aizkulises. „Es gleznoju tikai uz pašas vilktiem un gruntētiem audekliem. Pati gatavoju krīta grunti, tāpēc šeit ir redzams krīts un audekls, kas sākumā nogruntēts ar želatīnu un tad ar krīta grunti. Tā es to varu dabūt ļoti gludu, nevis ar tekstūru kā gatavajiem audekliem. Tas man ir svarīgi tāpēc, ka patiesībā gleznoju nevis ar krāsu, bet ar caurspīdīgumu. Es slauku un mazgāju krāsu ārā, un tas ir veids, kā es panāku to gaismu. Krīta grunts silti baltais tonis ir tas, kas veido gaismu.” Pie šīs tehnikas Līva Graudiņa nonākusi eksperimentu ceļā: jau kopš Mākslas akadēmijas viņai gleznās esot svarīgi atteikties no visa liekā. Tāpēc savā ziņā katrs darbs, mākslinieces vārdiem, top caur „kontrolētu nejaušību”. Telpas galā ir kāda glezna, ko iedvesmojusi itāļu rakstnieka Italo Kalvīno eseja „Spirāle”. „Tur it kā ir par molusku, kurš gadu tūkstošu gaitā attīstās un sāk veidot gliemežvāku, bet pats nemaz nesaprot un neredz, ko dara. To redz citas radības, kas pasaulē rodas un kuriem ir acis. Un tās redz to skaisto spirāli, ko viņš ir radījis, tikai savu instinktu vadīts. Man tas likās ļoti par to, kā es bieži vien jūtos par savu radīšanas procesu. Jā, es nezinu, vai es līdz galam pat varu to kontrolēt… Es nevarētu dzīvot bez gleznošanas. Man ir bijuši atsevišķi periodi, kas dažādu dzīves apstākļu dēļ ir dzīvoti bez gleznošanas, bet man vienkārši ir jāglezno. Un pēc „Spirāles” izlasīšanas man visās gleznās sāka parādīties spirāles formas, turklāt tas nebija apzināti. Tas vienkārši nāca ārā,” „…un šī čaula bija it kā sveša no manis, bet vienlaikus arī vispatiesākā daļa manis – skaidrojums tam, kas es biju,” savā esejā raksta Italo Kalvīno. Līva Graudiņa atzīst, ka darbs pie izstādes, kuras komandā līdzās māksliniecei Katrīnai Martai Riņķei ir arī jaunās scenogrāfes Anna Meldera un Paula Graudaka, tekstu autore Estere Artmane, grafiskā dizainere Anna Priede un instalācijas autors Kārlis Kanderovskis, bijis arī bagātinošs ceļš sevis izziņā. „Iepriekš pārsvarā lietas esmu darījusi pati, un šī man bija fantastiska pieredze, ko tas nozīmē – sadarboties un būt komandā. Tā jauda! Brīžam tas bija arī ļoti sarežģīti. Man arī ļoti daudz nozīmē paskatīties uz lietām no Katrīnas paaudzes skatupunkta, jo mans process ir bijis ar „caurumiem” pa ceļam – bērni, „Mala” un vēl dažādi apstākļi, kas ir uzlikuši ilgākas pauzes. Līdz ar to man ir gandrīz vai jāiepazīst no jauna tā mākslas pasaule, kāda tā ir izveidojusies. Un man to bija ļoti interesanti darīt kopā ar šiem jaunajiem cilvēkiem, kuri tagad sāk to mākslas pasauli iepazīt, bet jau caur pavisam citu prizmu. Viņu spriestspēja un skatījums uz pasauli ir citādāks nekā manai paaudzei, bet ir pamatvērtības, kas tomēr vieno. Un tas ir bagātinoši.” Līvas Graudiņas un Katrīnas Martas Riņķes multimediālā izstāde „Gaismas atmiņa” Cēsu Vecajā alus brūzī būs skatāma līdz 6. jūlijam. Bet tūlīt pēc tam šajās telpās vietu ieņems Cēsu mākslas festivāla centrālais vizuālās mākslas notikums – izstāde „Kailā dzīvība”.

Militāro konfliktu Tuvajos Austrumos pārrunājam kopā ar ārpolitikas pētnieci Sintiju Broku un laikraksta "Diena" komentētāju Andi Sedlenieku, kā arī sazināmies ar Tuvo Austrumu politikas un kultūras pētnieku, zinātnes doktoru Imantu Frederiku Ozolu, kurš šobrīd papildina zināšanas Haifas universitātē. * Līdz nesenam laikam attiecību stāvoklis starp Izraēlu un Irānu tika raksturots kā konflikts, bieži lietojot arī angļu valodas terminu proxy war, kas dažādās valodās tiek tulkots kā „netiešais karš”, „starpnieku karš”, „pilnvarojuma karš, „ēnu karš” u. tml. – tātad, bruņots konflikts, kurā kāda valsts iesaistās netieši, sniedzot atbalstu kādai citai valstij vai bruņotai struktūrai. Irānai, kura pēc tapšanas par islāma teokrātiju pagājušā gadsimta astoņdesmitajos gados pasludināja Izraēlas iznīcināšanu par savas oficiālās ārpolitiskās doktrīnas sastāvdaļu, līdz šim izkaroja šādu „ēnu karu” pret ebreju valsti ar teroristisko organizāciju Hamas un Hezbollah rokām. Kopš 13. jūnija militārā konfrontācija starp Izraēlu un Irānu arvien biežāk tiek apzīmēta kā Irānas–Izraēlas karš. Zinot abu valstu ģeogrāfisko izvietojumu, ir pašsaprotami, ka šis karš tiek izcīnīts pamatā ar gaisa spēku līdzekļiem no vienas, un raķešu spēku līdzekļiem no otras puses. Ar līdzīgiem triecieniem abas valstis apmainījās arī pagājušā gada aprīlī un oktobrī, taču toreiz runa bija par vienreizējām akcijām. Tagad viss ir citādi. Izraēla nekad nav slēpusi, ka darīs visu nepieciešamo, lai nepieļautu, ka Irāna apgādājas ar kodolieročiem. Teherāna allaž uzstājusi, ka urāna bagātināšana tās teritorijā notiekot tikai un vienīgi enerģētikas attīstības nolūkos. Līdz šim šiem apgalvojumiem nav iebildis arī oficiālais starptautiskais uzraugs – Starptautiskā Atomenerģijas aģentūra. Taču tieši dienu pirms Izraēlas gaisa spēku triecieniem Irānas kadolprogrammas objektiem aģentūra paziņoja par noteikto ierobežojumu pārkāpšanu. Tajā pašā dienā beidzās termiņš, kuru Teherānai bija izziņojis Baltā nama saimnieks Donalds Tramps. 13. jūnija agrā rītā vairāk nekā divi simti Izraēlas Gaisa spēku iznīcinātāju deva triecienus apmēram simts mērķiem Irānā. Izraēlas slepenais dienests Mossad, darbojoties valsts iekšienē, izsita no ierindas lielāko daļu Irānas pretgaisa aizsardzības iekārtu. Pirmais trieciens bija vērsts pret mērķiem galvaspilsētā Teherānā un tās tuvumā, kā arī pret urāna bagātināšanas iekārtām Natanzas pilsētā. Ar precīza tēmējuma ieročiem tika mērķēts arī pa vairāku augsta ranga militārpersonu, militarizētās organizācijas Islāma revolūcijas sargu korpuss vadītāju un kodolprogrammas darbinieku dzīvesvietām. Vēlāk tai pašā dienā notika otrais uzlidojumu vilnis, izvēršot uzbrukuma ģeogrāfiju, kas ietvēra arī Fordo kodoldegvielas bagātināšanas rūpnīcu un kodoltehnoloģiju izpētes centru Isfahānā. Jau tās pašas dienas vakarā sekoja Irānas atbildes trieciens, izmantojot spārnotās un ballistiskās raķetes, kā arī lidrobotus. Turpmākajās dienās abas puses apmainījušās triecieniem. Kaut arī Izraēlas pretgaisa aizsardzība apliecinājusi savu efektivitāti, atsevišķas Irānas raķetes tomēr nonākušas līdz mērķim, t.sk. Telavivas un Haifas dzīvojamajiem rajoniem. Pēc Izraēlas varas iestāžu informācijas kopš 13. jūnija dzīvību zaudējuši 24 cilvēki, gandrīz seši simti guvuši ievainojumus. Savukārt Irānas puse ziņo par vairāk nekā divsimt bojāgājušajiem, tai skaitā atzīst, ka nogalināti vairāki austākā ranga militāristi. Starp viņiem ir Islāma revolūcijas sargu korpusa komandieris Hoseins Salami, bruņoto spēku štāba priekšnieks Mohammads Bageri, bruņoto spēku galvenā komandcentra priekšnieks Golams Ali Rašids un citi. Kamēr Latvijā uzmanības lokā pašvaldību vēlēšanas, pasaules medijos pirmajās rindās ir ziņas par Amerikas Savienotajām Valstīm. Turpinām kolēģu aizsākto sarunu par Kaļiņingradu, runājot par drošības situāciju un apgabalu kopumā. Nedaudz to aplūkojam Ukrainā notiekošā kara kontekstā. Aktualitātes analizē politologs Veiko Spolītis un ārpolitikas pētnieks Rinalds Gulbis. Par Kaļiņingradas apgabalu saruna ar politologu, politiķi no Ukrainas Ihoru Ždanovu, viņš ir fonda „Atklātā politika” projekta vadītājs, bijis arī Ukrainas Jaunatnes un sporta lietu ministrs. Donalds Bargais Protesti Losandželosā uzliesmoja 6. jūnijā pēc tam, kad ASV Imigrācijas un muitas policijas darbinieki veica reidus pilsētas tirdzniecības vietās, arestējot apmēram simtu tur strādājošo, kuri, iespējams, uzturas valstī nelegāli. Protesti sākās pie aizturēšanas centra ēkas, kur policija aizturēja 44 cilvēkus. Cita starpā tika arestēts Starptautiskās apkalpošanas sfēras darbinieku asociācijas Kalifornijas nodaļas prezidents Deivids Uerta, kurš it kā kavējis automašīnas pārvietošanos. Tiek ziņots, ka viņš guvis salīdzinoši vieglu traumu; pirmdien viņš tika atbrīvots pret drošības naudu. Jau tajā pašā dienā notika sadursmes starp protestētājiem un policiju, kur protestētāji esot metuši dažādus priekšmetus, kamēr policija izmantojusi asaru gāzi, piparu aerosolu, žilbinošās granātas, bet vakarpusē likumsargiem bija atļauts lietot arī neletālu munīciju. Brīvdienās protesti vērsās plašumā, pie kam notika vairāki mēģinājumi bloķēt ielas, atsevišķu automašīnu aizdedzināšana, daži vandālisma un veikalu aplaupīšanas gadījumi. Protestētāji apmētāja policistus un policijas auto ar dažādiem priekšmetiem, daži policisti, protestētāji un arī protestus atspoguļojošie žurnālisti guva vieglus ievainojumus. Tomēr daudzviet protesti notika mierīgi, un situācija pilsētā, pēc visa spriežot, nebija tāda, lai ar to netiktu galā vietējie policijas spēki. Taču jau 7. jūnijā Savienoto Valstu prezidents Donalds Tramps izdeva rīkojumu nosūtīt uz Losandželosu 2100 Nacionālās gvardes karavīru. Pie tam viņš to darīja, nesaskaņojot ar Kalifornijas pavalsts gubernatoru, Demokrātu partijas pārstāvi Gevinu Ņūsomu. Kaut prezidentam ir tādas pilnvaras, šādi Savienoto Valstu vadītājs pēdējoreiz rīkojies 1965. gadā. Tāpat tika ziņots, ka gatavībā nosūtīšanai uz pilsētu esot septiņi simti jūras kājnieku. Jau drīz pēc tam, kad šīs ziņas parādījās atklātībā, prezidenta rīcības adekvātums tika apšaubīts. Pirmdien, 9. jūnijā, gubernators Ņūsoms iesniedza prasību tiesā, pieprasot atzīt Trampa pavēli par Nacionālās gvardes izmantošanu par nelikumīgu; attiecīgā sēde paredzēta 12. jūnijā. Tikām gan prezidents Tramps, gan citi Baltā nama pārstāvji izvērsa agresīvu retoriku, gānot un vainojot protestu uzliesmošanā gubernatoru, kā arī Losandželosas mēri Karenu Basu. Viens no spilgtākajiem prezidenta citātiem bija: „Ja viņi spļaus, mēs sitīsim.” Proti, viņš vainoja demonstrantus, ka tie spļaujot uz likumsargiem, un attiecīgi piedraudēja, ka protestētāji tikšot sisti tā, kā nekad agrāk. Nu jau nacionālo gvardu skaits Losandželosā pārsniedzis četrus simtus, un vakar, kā ziņo, tur ieradušies arī solītie jūras kājnieki. Militārpersonas gan lielākoties bez kāda pielietojuma uzturoties federālo institūciju ēkās. Par spīti aizliegumiem ļaudis pirmdien un otrdien turpināja pulcēties protestos, kuri gan ātri tika izklīdināti. Daudzi uzlūko Trampa administrācijas rīcību Losandželosā kā paraugu varas spiediena politikai.   Divu vīru kaismīga šķiršanās Par to, ka divām tik spēcīgām un ambiciozām personām kā Donalds Tramps un Īlons Masks nenāksies viegli sastrādāties, runāja jau teju kopš pasaules bagātākais cilvēks kļuva par pusoficiālu Baltā nama darbinieku. Tā viņš pievienojās daudzo prezidenta kritizētāju pulkam, kuri pamatoti norāda, ka projekts paredz nodokļu atlaides bagātajiem, tajā pašā laikā liedzot daudziem maznodrošinātajiem līdzšinējo valsts apmaksāto pieeju medicīnas pakalpojumiem. Nākamajās dienās eskalācija tikai vērsās plašumā, iesaistoties ļaudīm gan no prezidenta, gan finanšu magnāta puses. Tramps piedraudēja, ka varētu atņemt Maska uzņēmumiem valdības kontraktus un subsīdijas. Sevišķi sāpīgi tas būtu kosmosa izpētes programmai „Space X”, kas lielā mērā balstās valdības finansējumā. Bet Masks nepalika atbildi parādā, norādot, ka bez viņa nodrošinātās tehnikas valdībai būs problemātiski, piemēram, nodrošināt astronautu nogādāšanu uz Starptautisko kosmosa staciju un atpakaļ. Draudi pārtraukt šo tehnisko atbalstu gan tika drīz atsaukti, taču turpinājumā multimiljardieris paziņoja, ka prezidents esot minēts 2019. gadā cietumā mirušā uzņēmēja un bērnu seksuālā izmantotāja Džefrija Epsteina lietas materiālos. Tā bija abu dižvīru konflikta kulminācija, kas tika sasniegta 5. jūnijā. Piektdien, 6. jūnijā, Masks paziņoja, ka varētu nodibināt jaunu politisku partiju, kas kļūtu par trešo spēku starp demokrātiem un republikāņiem. Tikām viņa konflikts ar Baltā nama saimnieku sāka iespaidot Maska finanšu stāvokli, kompānijas „Tesla” akcijām noslīdot par 15% procentiem, respektīvi, zaudējot apmēram 150 miljardus savas vērtības. Kopš pagājušās nedēļas nogales procesā gan iestājies zināms atslābums. Pirmais, kurš no eskalācijas pārgāja uz remdenāku toni, bija prezidents, izsakoties, ka neņemot ļaunā privāti vērstos uzbrukumus, tikai nožēlojot, ka  Īlons nav praties ātrāk atbrīvoties no administratīvā darba sloga. The Reds had to settle for a draw after squandering a 2-0 half time lead, but the result was almost a sideshow as all of the headlines will be about the booing of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
