As a thriving empire faces war with ferocious barbarians, a mischievous scholar named Minerva hopes to bring law and civilization to a great realm populated by talking birds, giant rats, gregarious knights, elemental gods, and menacing malasanders. An unanticipated dispute among the knights gives Minerva an opportunity to uphold the doctrine of moral principles, but Minerva finds herself testing her loyalty to her aide-de-camp while helping others to learn what honor, empathy, and identity really mean. It’s part two of the Audio Drama Production Podcast’s 100th Episode. Are you still waiting to make the leap and start creating your own shows? How long does it take to become an Audio Drama producer? We’ve seen a few new faces emerge in the world of Audio Drama Production in 2015. One such new face is Austin Beach of Audioblivious Productions. Austin and the guys recently released their very first show Natural Selection, and they have big plans for the future. If you’re yet to get started creating your own Audio Dramas, this is a great example of how you just need to make that leap. Less than a year ago Austin had never opened a piece of audio editing software. DAW-Matt-LeongTwo of the big takeaways here are that you don’t need to try and learn everything over night, and that you don’t need to release everything you mix. Practice and experimentation is key. Yes it will take time, along with a lot of trial and error, but you can be an Audio Drama producer by this time next year. There will undoubtedly be even more new producers emerging in the medium in 2016 than there were this year. Will you be one of them? Also on this weeks show, a Christmas message from Matt Leong (who also drew us an Audio Drama rabbit named DAW!), the induction of new Knight of the Pledge Seth Williams, and we’ve released an Audio Drama called Kraken Mare.

1. Sonic Society Theme and Intro 2. Introduction With Jack Ward and Shannon Hilchie: Hi All! Welcome back to the Sonic Society, now complete with working feed! That's right folks its a full serve podcast with no waiting! If you're listening to this show on Tuesday night, there's a good chance then that the feed is well and truly back to itself. We had a bit of a problem last week, with the feed, but we thank Libsyn for the fix. By all means if you want some specifics about the problems we had check out Audiodramatalk.com or the Sonic Society Facebook group, but for now we're just glad we're back. A couple of quick notes... We've received all the instrumentals for Shannon's Torch Album... so expect the tunes to be coming your way soon! I'm giving our girl no more than two weeks to prepare. Count down folks! Secondly, the Sonic Society Audio Awards for 2007-2008 year are closed. Judges are tabulating the result! You can expect that Awards to happen at the end of the month! Thirdly, we just want to thank everyone for the kind words said about episode #1 of Gate and a special thanks to all the actors who have worked solidly this month. Seriously folk... we've done nearly a month of two episodes a week. That's a lot of prep work for actors to go through, get in the moment and perform. And finally we can officially say everything is a GO as we signed a deal with Farpoint Media and Shannon and I to host "The Library of Jack and Shannon" which will be a fiction podcast due out any time now. We're just getting ready for our feed.. and our theme music. We actually have been looking into the podsafe music network to obtain a feed and give poor Sharon Bee a break, but for some reason, the preview of songs aren't working for us lately.. is that just us, or is there something going on with the Podsafe Music Network itself? Let us know... And speaking of let us know.. We've got some feed back on the Zug Beud line... First off, its Society faithful, Matt Leong. Before we get going, we just want to express our hopes and prayers to Matt and his wife. I don't think we're betraying any confidences when we say that there's a health issue going on in the family right now, and we'd like everyone in the Sonic Society to go over to the DoubledorkMeter podcast (URL in the show nores) and give Matt and Emily your good wishes for a steady recovery. Matt has been a long time listener, has an amazing podcast, is a phenomenal artist, and has entertained many of us here at the Society for a long time now, and it's really time to give back a little and let him know you care. Just to show you how above and beyond Matt is.. in this past week, while we were having our woes with the feed, Matt offered AND posted the latest show up on the Doubledork Meter. Thanks Matt... on with your zug call. 3. Vamp Questions Matt: Are you a Frog Brother or are you a Scoobie? Thanks for finding the geekiest reference in episode 1, Matt! Derek: 1. What's our top three? 2. Time Enough- Poutine. Shannon loves or hates? Poutine is pretty much everywhere in Eastern Canada now. 3. Question the Third. Jack's Pirate Show. Pirate resources. Thanks so much Derek! How did you find us? We're always interested! Here's the most recent books I'm reading on the subject: A History of Pirates Pirates and Outlaws of Canada Pirate Hunter- The True Story of Captain Kidd Pirates- An Illustrated History I'm also playing Pirates of the Caribbean Online and Pirate Hunter simply for flavour. I recognize the inaccuracies of it all. Alexa Chipman has me worried... She's a naval historian, and I hate getting things wrong! Speaking of Alexa... Miss Chipman has also graced us with a message from good ol' Zug. Alexa: If you could go to any period of history... what would it be and why? Well, this is one of my favourite little intellectual exercises. Here are my questions involved. 1. Are we going to visit or live there permanently? 2. Can we speak the language or not? 3. Would we be able to interact wi
