2 Chronicles 29–30 records the powerful spiritual revival under King Hezekiah. In chapter 29, Hezekiah opens the doors of the temple, calls the priests and Levites to consecrate themselves, and restores true worship to the house of the Lord. What had been neglected is cleansed, repaired, and made holy again. In chapter 30, Hezekiah invites all Israel and Judah to return to the Lord and celebrate the Passover—many come in humility, and God meets them with mercy, healing, and great joy. Together, these chapters show that revival begins with repentance, obedience, and a return to sincere worship—and when God's people respond, He restores joy, unity, and blessing. Today's Promise: 1 John 1:7 In today's episode, we are reminded that God hasn't just forgiven our sin; He has completely cleansed us. Many believers continue to carry guilt and shame, identifying more with their past failures than with their new life in Christ. But that's not how God sees you. Through the blood of Jesus, every sin has been erased, every stain removed, and every barrier between you and God torn down.   This episode paints a vivid picture of a chalkboard being wiped clean, leaving no trace behind. You are not defined by your sin; you are defined by your righteousness in Christ. It's time to stop living under the weight of what God has already removed.   Receive His forgiveness. Embrace your new identity. And walk confidently in the freedom and fellowship that come from being fully forgiven and fully cleansed.

The Netanyahu government may not have officially annexed the West Bank, but the ongoing settler violence expelling Palestinian communities from their land – plus the changes in regulation imposing Israeli authority and areas meant for Palestinian self-rule – is driving momentum in that direction, Haaretz West Bank correspondent Matan Golan said on the Haaretz Podcast. Golan described the ongoing ordeal in the Bedouin community of Mukhmas on the podcast, a case study which illustrates the settlers' use of daily harassment and ongoing attacks on both residents and their property to force Palestinians to relocate into an increasingly small portion of the territory. The settler outpost of Kol Mevaser terrorizing Mukhmas "has been depopulated and destroyed at least nine times," by Israeli authorities since its establishment in late October, when the young settlers living there engaged in their first spree of beatings, assaults and arson. "Each time, the settlers just escape to the hills below – and despite the fact that it's a closed military zone," she said, they return – and later brag of their destructive acts against Palestinians on social media. The IDF has consistently failed to provide enough protection for Palestinian residents to remain in their homes, she said. The Israeli and international activists try to provide a protective presence, which helps prolong the Palestinians' struggles to remain, but it has proven unsuccessful: Nearly 50 communities have been forcibly displaced since summer 2023, according to B'Tselem. On the podcast, Golan also discusses the recent announcement by Netanyahu government officials declaring that it is taking authority in areas meant to be controlled by the Palestinian Authority, in violation of the Oslo Accords. The fact that such measures are being taken to weaken the Palestinian Authority and prevent a two-state solution, she said, "are no secret." In verse 35 of Mark 1, Mark shows us the Savior rising very early in the morning. He went to a desolate place and there He prayed. The Lord spent time with God His Father before the busy day began.Do you know that Jesus is even now praying for each and every believer. He prays for those who draw near to God through Him in order to keep each believer saved forever. Read Hebrews 7:25.Mark next presents Christ having authority over leprosy. Dr. Mitchell observes that Jesus didn't heal lepers, He cleansed them. Here our Lord reached out and touched the leper. Jesus can cleanse you, my friend. And He is willing to do so completely and forever.Let's turn to Mark 1:35 with our teacher, Dr. Mitchell who shows us the savior's compassion.Your listening to the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast.

What if the thing you're still trying to fix… God already finished? In this message, we dismantle one of the deepest lies believers carry: “I'm forgiven… but I'm still dirty.” This message walks straight into the tension between forgiveness and cleansing, exposing why so many people believe in grace, but still live in shame. This isn't about trying harder. This isn't about cleaning yourself up.This is about trusting the One who already did. You are not becoming clean. You are discovering that you already are.

Sorry you're not sleeping well; but we'll make good use of the time by meditating on Isaiah 4. We'll remember how, in Christ, God makes us holy. He washes away our filth and cleanses us. This is a good passage if you're restless because you're feeling guilty or ashamed. Often, these feelings are God-given indicators of our sin, prompts to turn to Jesus for forgiveness and new life. Other times they're the result of the enemy's accusations. Either way, it'll be good to remember how thoroughly God cleanses us in Christ. You can contact me at truesleepfeedback@gmail.com. Saint Athanasius Lutheran Church

In this message, I reflect on how Advent is not only about preparing for Christmas, but about preparing for Christ's coming now through His Word and Sacraments and His coming again on the Last Day. Scripture gives us a joyful picture of that final day, not just as judgment, but as a wedding feast between Christ and His Church. Through Baptism, we are cleansed and made His radiant Bride, clothed in His promises rather than our own faithfulness. Because of this, the Last Day becomes a day of joy, not fear. We live now in hopeful anticipation, eager for the Bridegroom's return and longing for others to share in that same joy.

Luke 15:11-19 NASB1995And He said, “A man had two sons. The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the estate that falls to me.' So he divided his wealth between them. And not many days later, the younger son gathered everything together and went on a journey into a distant country, and there he squandered his estate with loose living. Now when he had spent everything, a severe famine occurred in that country, and he began to be impoverished. If you are interested in the Daily Bible Devotional, you can find it at the links below:Amazon - (paperback, hardcover, and Kindle)YouTube Video Introducing the ContentFeel free to reach out with any questions: emersonk78@me.comJames 4 Conflicts and quarrels often arise from inner desires that are not submitted to God. People want things but do not ask God or ask with selfish motives. None of this pleases the Father. Friendship with the world also opposes God because it leads the heart away from Him. Yet, God continues to offer His grace. He calls people to humility, urging them to submit to Him, resist the devil, and draw near. Cleansed hands and purified hearts are part of true repentance. Speaking evil against others and judging them is discouraged, for only God is the true lawgiver and judge. People are reminded not to boast about tomorrow since life is uncertain. Instead, they should seek God's will and do what is right, knowing that obedience brings honor to Him.  We often find ourselves in conflict because we pursue our own desires instead of seeking God. We desire things for selfish reasons and forget to ask with humble hearts. When we choose worldly values over God's ways, we create a distance between ourselves and Him. Yet, He offers grace for those who see their need for Him.  But we must take seriously our sin and approach him with absolute humility. We are instructed to purify our hearts and turn from pride. We must not speak against others or judge them harshly. Our lives are short, and we do not control tomorrow. Rather than boasting, we should seek God's will and act on what we know is right, honoring Him in everything.  Holy God, You see our hearts and know our desires. Help us lay down selfish ambition and seek Your will above our own. Teach us to be humble, to draw near to You, and to trust that You will lift us up at the right time. Cleanse our hearts of pride and guide our steps away from envy and strife. Remind us that life is short and each day is a gift from You. May we speak with grace, live with purpose, and live within your divine will. Let our plans be shaped by Your wisdom and directed by Your hand.  Thought Questions: How are lust, envy, and poor motives most often tied to self-centeredness? What helps you think selflessly and focus on God and holy things? What will God do if you submit to Him, draw near to Him, and be humble before Him? How would you advise someone to start doing this? “Do not speak against one another, brethren.” Is God serious about that? How should we treat each other if life is short and days are uncertain?
