Organizers are promising a big big bash when the Grey Cup comes to town in November. But you can't have a party without a plan! Jock and Mike Franco from the Stampeders and the Grey Cup festival get us caught up on where things are at.
Let's be honest. The City of Edmonton just raised the bar on what's expected of a grey Cup host city, and guess who's up next? Calgary and the Stampeders will be rolling out the red carpet in 2019, and regardless of who's in the game, Mike Franco and the Stampeder brass will work hard to make sure next year's event is second to none.
Mike Franco, who will chair the 2019 event in Calgary, reports from Edmonton where he is studying how the Edmonton group staged the 2018 Grey Cup festival.
The CFL schedule is out (yes this early) and it's a good one for the Stampeders and thier fans. More summer dates, 6 Saturday games and no home game starts later than 7pm. We broke it down tonight on Sports Talk with Mike Franco, the team's senior director of business operations.
