He had enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Wright had the rank of Lance Corporal. His military occupation or specialty was Machine Gunner. He was born on 10 November 1946. During his service in the Vietnam War, Marine Corps Lance Corporal Wright experienced a traumatic event which ultimately resulted in loss of life on 2 September 1967.
