Roger Goodell Apologizes to Colin Kaepernick says We Should Have Listened Sooner – Dom B Podcast 212 Roger Goodell appeared on Emmanuel Acho’s shows “Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man”. During this interview Roger Goodell shares his wokeness with the world and even did a roleplay style of apology to Colin Kaepernick as Goodell said “we’ve should have listened sooner”. Roger Goodell also mentioned that he and the NFL reached out to Colin Kaepernick for a conversation about his kneeling during the Nation Anthem. Roger Goodell has just completely made my mind about watching the NFL this season… I will NOT. After Roger Goodell stated that “we should have listened sooner” to Colin Kaepernick, Roger Goodell and Emmanuel Acho agreed that Colin Kaepernick kneeling was about the flag. However, Colin Kaepernick himself said it was about the flag. Do you agree with Roger Goodell? Was Colin Kaepernick right this whole time? Will you watch Roger Goodell and his NFL this season? In 2016, Colin Kaepernick chose to sit during the Nation Anthem as a form of peaceful protest to call out Police Brutality. When Green Beret Nate Boyer, who made it to the NFL as a member of the Seattle Seahawks, was asked to pen an opinion piece about the military perspective of Kaepernick’s decision, he decided to reach out. After meeting together in San Diego, Boyer expressed that taking a knee during the National Anthem would be a more respectful gesture to the military. Kaepernick obliged and Boyer stood next to him as a historic movement began. Through a storm of criticism and debate, the kneeling issue is back in the spotlight. And Boyer, a Bay Area native, is once again thrust upon the national stage to explain what the gesture means, why it isn’t intended to disrespect the military, and why we need to find a solution in order to get everyone to feel proud enough to once again stand during the anthem. The Green Beret sees a lot of change in perspective now, especially after the death of George Floyd. He also brings us up to speed on his organization Merging Vets and Players. We hope you LISTEN and enjoy our conversation.
