Join Jim and Greg for Tuesday's 3 Martini Lunch as they enjoy a rare all-good-news episode! Today, they discuss Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin finally hanging it up, major progress against terrorists, and the escalating fight between the DNC and David Hogg.First, Jim and Greg are glad to see Sen. Durbin announcing his retirement after next year. He's been on the wrong side of almost every issue for 30 years and he may be best remembered for some very ugly comments on the Senate floor. The sour side of this good martini is that Democrats will be heavy favorites to hold the seat.Next, they applaud a major counterterrorism success. National Security Adviser Mike Waltz reports that U.S. forces have eliminated 74 terrorist leaders in the first three months of the Trump administration. Additionally, 45 American hostages have been freed. Jim calls these significant victories but urges the administration to release more specifics to the public. Finally, they relish the growing turmoil inside the DNC. Chairman Ed Martin is preparing to demand that Vice Chair David Hogg stop backing primary challengers to Democratic incumbents or resign. But with Hogg promising combative primaries regardless of his role, Jim and Greg look forward to costly, divisive battles in Democratic primaries across the country. Please visit our great sponsors:Cut through political bias with Ground News's Vantage Plan—visit https://GroundNews.com/MARTINI to get 40% off for a limited time!Streamline and scale your customer communications with OpenPhone. Arminia Bielefeld and VfB Stuttgart may have just saved the soul of German football. The third-division side rose to the challenge and bested double winners Bayer Leverkusen in front of a roaring Alm. In Stuttgart, Angelo Stiller lit up the Neckarstadion with a screamer as they ousted Leipzig from the cup and will now meet Arminia in the final. It was a bad week for the soda club all around. After losing their game in Mönchengladbach and ceding their 5th place to the Foals, Leipzig fired coach Marco Rose. Elsewhere, Union and Heidenheim picked up surprise wins, while Borussia Dortmund played one of their best league games this season, overcoming red-hot Mainz 05 at the Westfalenstadion.

Watch the YouTube version of this episode HEREAre you a business owner who is looking to learn about running a more successful firm? In this episode of the Maximum Lawyer Podcast, Tyson interviews Mike Payne, the founder of BOSS Advisors, about his pioneering journey in establishing an alternative business structure (ABS) that combines legal and accounting services. Mike, a lawyer and CPA, shares his motivations, challenges, and the regulatory landscape in Arizona that allowed him to create this unique firm. Being able to provide clients with multiple services is such a huge benefit to a business owner and can make one look desirable to clients who want more than one thing. Mike shares his insights in marketing to clients who might want multiple services. For Mike, marketing to these clients involves providing them with services that go hand in hand, like legal and accounting support. Without having to register as a CPA, Mike is able to help business owners with their taxes, provide bookkeeping services and legal services. For a firm that has 5 different departments all doing different work, it is inevitable that silos will exist. It is easy for people to learn or share knowledge within their own teams. For Mike, it is important to eliminate silos and ensure there is cross collaboration and information sharing. This happens through training that is provided across departments. For example, accountants are provided training from an attorney's perspective on how things work and vice versa. A successful business will ensure to show how all roles affect each other and encourage collaboration.Listen in to learn more!04:00 Ideal Client Profile 10:53 ABS Application Process 13:29 Stigma of Working with Lawyers 18:53 Annual Re-evaluation for ABS 22:30 Global Perspective on ABS 30:41 Starting the Firm 43:14 Transition to Remote Work Tune in to today's episode and checkout the full show notes here. In a landmark decision, President Trump has signed an executive order to abolish the U.S. Department of Education, signaling a major shift in control over education to individual states. This move is aimed at improving the quality of education by reducing federal oversight and increasing state autonomy. During the announcement, Trump highlighted the inefficiencies and failures of the federal system, citing alarming statistics on student achievement in reading and math. He emphasized the need for a new approach to ensure that American children receive the high-quality education they deserve. State leaders and education officials have expressed support for the transition, viewing it as an opportunity to implement innovative and localized education strategies tailored to the needs of their student populations. Trump also assured that core functions like Pell Grants and resources for children with disabilities will be preserved in this restructuring. This decision has sparked a mixture of reactions, with some seeing it as a positive reform while others express concerns about potential disparities in educational quality between states. Regardless, this marks a significant moment in the history of American education policy.

Welcome in for another edition of the Morning Espresso from the SDH Network, brought to you by Oglethorpe University, Atlanta's premier undergraduate learning experience and soccer powerhouse.Awful way for Atleti to be eliminated by Real Madrid in the Champions League yesterday. Losing in a penalty shootout is always brutal, even more so against your eternal rivals after winning on the night (Connor Gallagher's 1st minute goal set the table for an epic night). But losing due to a rarely seen situation that is still not 100% clear after watching it almost 100 times is really rough. UEFA said in-ball technology was not used to determine the double touch from Julian Alvarez on his penalty attempt. If additional cameras other than the broadcast cameras were used, I hope UEFA will walk the public through the process because the decision came very quickly in a situation that to the normal eye was not clear cut. And the bigger issue coming from this is one of fairness. A goalkeeper intentionally coming off their line early to make a save results in a retake, a kicker accidentally slipping and hitting the ball twice unintentionally results in a miss... this doesn't make sense and isn't equal. Time for IFAB to fix this in my opinion. Lille took the lead early over Dortmund, but the Germans held their nerve and found two second-half goals to advance to the quarterfinals. They're joined by Arsenal and Aston Villa, who handled their business comfortably on the night. The first legs of the quarterfinals will take place on April 8-9, second legs take place one week later. In the first leg, PSG will host Aston Villa, Arsenal will host Real Madrid, Barcelona will host Dortmund, and Bayern will host Inter.Vancouver went to Mexico and eliminated Monterrey after a 2-2 draw on the night that saw them overcome a dubious penalty given and converted by Sergio Ramos, and copious amounts of additional stoppage time given. The Whitecaps advanced on away goals with USMNT striker Brian White scoring the crucial goal from the bench. It's even more impressive that Vancouver did this with White coming off the bench and Ryan Gauld and Jayden Nelson unavailable. LA Galaxy won their first competitive match of 2025 handily, beating Herediano 4-1 to advance to the Concacaf Champions Cup quarterfinals. Club America thrashed Chivas 4-0 to also advance. Miami is in Jamaica tonight to determine the final quarterfinalist, the Herons have a 2-0 lead. Lionel Messi made the trip, but we'll see if he makes the field. Congrats to ESPN legend Bob Ley for being named the recipient of the 2025 Colin Jose Media Award by the National Soccer Hall of Fame. Bob covered soccer throughout his time at ESPN from 1979-2015, 10 World Cups in total, the growth of MLS, and so many other critical moments in U.S. soccer history.
The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 1: 3:05pm- According to reports, President Donald Trump is preparing to sign an executive order that would effectively dismantle the Department of Education. On Tuesday, the department announced it was eliminating 1,950 staff positions. While speaking to the press at the White House, President Trump cited the country's education failures—noting the U.S. spends more per student than any country, but test scores in math, reading, and writing remain concerningly low. He emphatically stated: “We're going to move education into the states, so that states—instead of bureaucrats working in Washington—can run education.” 3:15pm- While appearing on Fox News with Laura Ingraham, Sec. Linda McMahon weighed-in on the Department of Education eliminating nearing 2,000 staff positions—explaining it is the “first step in eliminating bureaucratic bloat.” 3:25pm- During a visit with Ireland's Prime Minister, President Donald Trump joked about Vice President JD Vance's festive socks—which featured four leaf clovers! Plus, PM Michael Martin was asked about recent news that comedian Rosie O'Donnell has moved to Ireland because of her disdain for Trump's leadership. Martin didn't seem to know who O'Donnell is—to which Trump responded: “You're better off not knowing.” 3:30pm- Ryan Manion—Chief Executive Officer of the Travis Manion Foundation & Author of “The Knock at the Door”—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to preview the 2025 1210 WPHT Radiothon benefiting the Travis Manion Foundation which will take place next Friday, March 21st. It's been awhile since we've gotten back to our roots on this podcast by reviewing some red light therapy research. By happenstance, both studies are concerning the oral cavity. The first article looks at photobiomodulation's effect on dentin hypersensitivity (one big reason why I wish I had RLT back when I was a kid!). The second study looks at various wavelengths, amongst red and NIR light, to see their impact on penetrating the tooth and, ultimately, having an effect on the dental pulp. Before we talk about the research in today's episode, I do review the newest, updated version of the BioBlue Capsules. While there are no changes relative to the recipe of those supplements, there has been an improvement with how the supplement is produced that drastically alters the color of the capsules and likely improves its delivery to the body.Lastly, I wanted to cover an amazing testimonial that we received about our BioBlue Leuco products and how it completely abolished a customer's IBS symptoms. The interesting part is that they were initially using the supplement in an effort to mitigate and reverse eyesight issues. In the end, they were pleasantly surprised and pleased with the life-changing results they received when their chronic IBS disappeared. While there isn't much research on MB or leucoMB on gut health, it does makes sense that this person saw positive results, as we do have plenty of mitochondrion living in our gut. What would happen if you chewed one clove daily for 7 days? I'm sure you've heard of the benefits of clove for teeth and gums, but there's so much more to this fascinating spice. In this video, we're going to talk about the many health benefits of cloves. DATA: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/a... https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles... https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles... https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16235... https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles... https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles... https://www.cambridge.org/core/journa... https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases... https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28524... Clove can act as a natural painkiller, especially for a toothache. Eugenol, the chemical found naturally in clove, can mimic the effects of lidocaine without any side effects. Clove doesn't just work for toothaches. It may work systematically for many other inflammatory conditions. Clove can be beneficial for arthritis, swelling, and joint pain. It mimics the effects of NSAIDs, such as ibuprofen. Cloves also have potent antimicrobial effects, even for antibiotic-resistant bacteria. It's also beneficial against fungi, viruses, Candida, and parasites like malaria. It's been shown to mimic the effects of antibiotics without harming good bacteria. Clove oil can break down biofilms so your immune system can destroy bacteria. Eugenol in clove starves pathogens of energy, preventing them from reproducing. Clove has also been shown to make insulin more sensitive, producing results similar to a mild form of Metformin. Here are a few more of the potential benefits of cloves: •Cancer-fighting properties •Detoxification of the liver •Blood-thinning effects •Boosts your mood •Eliminates gas and bloating •Higher ORAC scale (antioxidant scale) than blueberries •Decreases mucus •Improves bad breath For the benefits of cloves, chew one clove daily, use clove oil topically, or grind it and add it to a smoothie.

Clarity Eliminates Confusion Have you noticed we live in an age when what you hear and see is not necessarily happening? It seems our shorter attention spans and social media have elevated attention-grabbing to the point where it overtakes the clarity of the message. One of my mentors is Donald Miller, the creator of Story Brand. He says, “If you make somebody burn too many calories to understand you, they will never understand you, and they'll move on to an easier choice.” Another one of my mentors is my son, Austin. He's an intelligent young man these days, but I remember when he was five years old and taught me a lesson about clarity - when Disney released a new movie. Like most kids, Austin was excited and wouldn't stop talking about it. One day, I asked, in a very adult way, “Okay, where are we going to see this movie?” He answered, “At a theater near you!” Yes. His answer was correct for a five-year-old without worrying about which theater had the film. After all, that's Dad's job. When your answer to questions creates more questions, everybody gets confused. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
