The Rush Hour Melbourne Catch Up - 105.1 Triple M Melbourne - James Brayshaw and Billy Brownless
It's a very flat Billy Brownless who kicks off the show with his All Sports Report - but as much as he tries to avoid it, we eventually get around to discussing the Grand Final. Attention turns to Billy's Grand Final weekend and what he got up to, then Triple M Footy caller and newsbreaker Theo Doropoulos phones in as attention turns to the AFL Trade Period. We want you to pump yourself up with Monday Brag Artist, and Billy has his top 5 moments from Grand Final Day, plus a look back at Triple M Fest and his interview with 'Snoop Dogg'. Tom Rockliff calls in to celebrate Brisbane's premiership, we take you behind the curtain of how we prepared for both a Cats loss and a Cats win, then JB takes over Billy's Joke - and you shouldn't need many guesses to work out what the topic is. When we walked out of the MCG on Grand Final Day in 2023 with broken hearts, we all feared that might have been our one chance with this group. Who would've thought back then the last week of September was about to become a semi-permanent fixture! There are storylines everywhere out of the prelim. Hugh's bounce back, Motty's ascendency to elite status, Harris toying with the Magpies, Will Ashcroft making a statement about just who the real father-son gun is, and that's before we even mention Ty Gallop. And now, our premiership defence now moves to its final stage: one more win, and this team writes themselves into the history books as one of the all-time greats. This week on the podcast:-The unbelievable form of Ty Gallop -Our plans for Roar Deal Grand Final week events -Dom's starting to get worried about the marathonAnd much more!

Ryan has been clean and sober for 15 years, since Grand Final Day 2009. An active, fit and healthy young man, playing AFL throughout his younger years, he had his first drink at 16. That lead to a pathway of bad choices and almost ruined his life. He first asked for help at 21 years old, then the battle was on to finally make it into 12 step fellowship, the day he says changed his life forever. He believes these steps have saved his life multiple times, even through a recent gambling addiction, he has now luckily overcome. If he's not at work, you'll find him in the surf, on the golf course, or working with other alcoholics to pass on to others the gift of recovery, the gift of life that he's been given.
