On this podcast episode we're going over the first episode of Marvel's ' Luke Cage' TV show that originally aired on Netflix back in September 2016 (but now on Disney+). This a series of me reviewing the first episodes of the previously Netflix Marvel TV shows and seeing if the episodes hook me into the respective show or not. This is all in preparation for watching Marvel's 'Moon Knight' which premieres on Wednesday, March 30th on the Disney+ streaming network.Marvel's Luke CageThis gritty, action-packed drama follows the evolution of Luke Cage (Mike Colter), a man with super strength and unbreakable skin caused by a sabotaged experiment. After a failed relationship with fellow superhero Jessica Jones, Cage tries to rebuild a quiet life in Harlem, New York --until he is pulled out of the shadows and forced into a battle for his city. Along the way, Cage cannot avoid confronting his past, which he has worked hard to bury. "Marvel's Luke Cage" is the third show in the Netflix-original Defenders series.First episode date: September 30, 2016Created byCheo Hodari CokerStarringMike ColterMahershala AliSimone MissickTheo RossiErik LaRay HarveyRosario DawsonAlfre WoodardGabrielle DennisMustafa ShakirJessica HenwickFinn JonesStephen RiderComposersAdrian YoungeAli Shaheed Muhammad
On this podcast episode we're going over Marvel's ' Jessica Jones' TV show that originally aired on Netflix back in November 2015. If you're like me then I had no prior knowledge of the 'Jessica Jones' character before watching this series. I honestly thought this was not going to be a superhero show in the beginning but thankfully I was proven wrong! Then after listening to this podcast episode let me know - is it "big jumping" or "guided falling" for 'Jessica Jones.'This a series of me reviewing the first episodes of the previously Netflix Marvel TV shows and seeing if the episodes hook me into the respective show or not. This is all in preparation for watching Marvel's 'Moon Knight' which premieres on Wednesday, March 30th on the Disney+ streaming network.Marvel's Jessica JonesA chronicle of the life of one of the darker Marvel characters, the mysterious Jessica Jones. When a tragedy puts an end to her short-lived career as a superhero, Jessica settles in New York City and opens her own detective agency, called Alias Investigations, which seems to be called into cases involving people who have special abilities. Suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome, Jessica wants to do good, but her primary interest isn't in saving the world, it's saving her apartment and getting through each day. Based on a graphic novel intended for adults, this is not a superhero story for the kids.First episode date: November 20, 2015Created byMelissa RosenbergCastKrysten RitterDavid TennantRachael TaylorMike ColterCarrie-Anne MossEka DarvilleErin MoriartyWil TravalSusie Abromeit
On this podcast episode we're going over Marvel's 'Daredevil' TV show that originally aired on Netflix back in April 2015. Even after all this time Daredevil holds up strong to even today's MCU shows and dare I say even outshines some current MCU shows... Don't worry if you haven't seen or even heard of the 'Daredevil' series as I just literally go over the first few minutes of the first episode of the show! That's all it took me to get hooked and watch this series throughout back then and again now. I hope you feel the passion I try to convey in this podcast episode and feel inclined to watch the series yourself! This a series of me reviewing the first episodes of the previously Netflix Marvel TV shows and seeing if the episodes hook me into the respective show or not. This is all in preparation for watching Marvel's 'Moon Knight' which premieres on Wednesday, March 30th on the Disney+ streaming network.Marvel's DaredevilThe first in a planned series of shows detailing the Marvel universe, "Daredevil" follows Matt Murdock, attorney by day and vigilante by night. Blinded in an accident as a child, Murdock uses his heightened senses as Daredevil to fight crime on the streets of New York after the sun goes down. While Murdock's day job requires him to believe in the criminal justice system, his alter ego does not follow suit, leading him to take the law into his own hands to protect his Hell's Kitchen neighborhood and the surrounding communities.First episode date: April 10, 2015Created byDrew GoddardCastCharlie CoxDeborah Ann WollElden HensonRosario DawsonVincent D'OnofrioJon BernthalElodie YungScott GlennStephen RiderVondie Curtis-HallAyelet ZurerToby Leonard MooreBob GuntonJoanne WhalleyWilson BethelJay Ali

In this episode, Ricardo Medina reviews the 10-part web series "Stargate Origins" and the Eli Roth-directed, Bruce Willis-starred remake of the classic 1974 revenge flick "Death Wish", while I review the second season of the Netflix / Marvel TV series "Jessica Jones", the dark comedy "Game Night" and the VOD-available, Bruce Willis-starred (sort of) action thriller "Acts of Violence". Josh and Andrew discuss the Netflix Marvel TV series that have become some of the biggest sellers for Netflix originals.
Tom and Ant are catching up on this episode as a hell of a lot has happened in the past month or so. Firstly, the guys find some common ground in some of the things they have to do at work around safety and continuous improvement...even though the process of continuous improvement was optimised back in the 1940s. We learn how the Queen signs birthday cards, why Tom couldn't do the show last time (tissues at the ready!) and what Tom and Ant think about the new Netflix/Marvel TV series, Iron Fist. The guys also discuss the latest film trailers including Justice League, Spider-Man Homecoming, Alien Covenant, War for the Planet of the Apes and Life. They also discuss Beauty and the Beast, Logan and Kong: Skull Island. There was so much to pack into this episode that a whole other episode will be available as and After the Podcast Podcast that you can only get if you become a supporter and donating £5... for a whole year of extra material.
