We're a lot closer than we were last year at this time. That's what I'm happy about. None of that matters if we don't get it done. Hopefully we'll try to get something done. That's what I'm looking forward to. I got confidence we'll get it done. I want to do it." However, in a Tweet he said “i got to get to the money I ain’t got time to be wasting”. A recovering JP Finlay, Rich Tandler and Mitch Tischler joined up for this mid-week, football heavy edition of Redskins Talk. The beginning of the podcast includes two different discussions centered on Alex Smith, with the first regarding how he seems well aware of how he needs to start the year fast and the second spent wondering if he's a top-100 player in football, since he hasn't shown up on the NFL Network's Top 100 list yet. Then, the guys look back on a debate they held on Brandon Scherff and wonder whether they need to adjust their take that he wasn't worth such a high draft selection considering how guards are getting paid more and more these days. And finally, JP enlists the help of Rich and Mitch in an early look at the next Podcast Party. If you like podcasts where JP puts up a solid effort in his Flu Game and all three hosts turn in decent Jay Gruden impressions, then this is the episode for you.

OTAs have wrapped up, the Seahawks mandatory minicamp is over, and now we get into a dark period of a couple weeks before training camp starts. The good news is the season is just around the corner! So far news about the heath of players has been positive as well and nobody sounds more excited than Thomas Rawls. Rawls is so excited, he feels like he needs to take up more than one spot on the depth chart. Adam and Brandan discuss why we fans should remember what had us so excited about Thomas Rawls as the team's #1 running back. The guys take a look at what has Coach Carroll fired up coming out of minicamp and his thoughts on the offensive line, Jimmy Graham and the guy who sounds like has the edge coming into training camp to take over the cornerback spot opposite Richard Sherman. Pete isn't the only coach fired up, in fact, Tom Cable says he's the most excited coach on the team. The NFL Network's Top 100 is nearing a conclusion. All the Seahawks on the list have been named, and there are a couple players who finished ahead of Seattle's top players that are really bothering Adam and Brandan. The Top 100 talk doesn't stop with NFL Network, because a trip to Prisco's World shows us that Pete can make mistakes with his player rankings as well. In the second half of the show, we check in on Marshawn Lynch and our current feeling on his situation. In the email segment we talk about a couple players going into their second year who haven't seen a lot of action and revisit a topic and potential conspiracy theory that can be put to rest. Pro Football Focus and the hoverboard marketing team get taking to task in the do better segment, while a couple of defensive lineman (one current and one former) earn Better At Life honors. Dave and Adam Rank discuss the players coming in 60-51 on the NFL Network's Top 100 players of 2010 list, focusing on the confusing standard that put Marques Colston ahead of 2010 stats leader Brandon Lloyd while leaving the likes of Stevie Johnson and Mike Wallace completely out. The fellas also analyze whether Matt Ryan is deserving of being ranked at 52 when Eli Manning and his Super Bowl ring are nowhere to be found.
After last week's successful preseason edition podcast, Dave kicks off Episode One with the debut of "The N. if L.", the segment that answers how pigskin history could have changed if one play or event went the other way. Dave and his pals, Adam Rank and Dylan Milner, then critique the NFL Network's 'Top 100' list of current players and offer some candidates for the league's most overrated players. Handsome Hank stops by to read the Tweet of the Week (courtesy Reggie Bush), leading the fellas into a debate about whether fans care more than players. Lastly, Dave reads listener tweets.
