WHAT WAS THE VERSE OF PROMISE THAT ADAM AND EVE HUNG ON BY FAITH TO KNOW THAT THEY WERE SAVED?2PETER 1: [4] Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.[5] And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;FISHERMAN PETER HAD KNOWLEDGE FROM JESUS THAT HE WOULD DIE SOON, BUT WHAT WAS ON HIS MIND BUT HIS FLOCK, WORRYING THAT THEY MIGHT FALL, THUS HE WRITES THIS EPISTLE TO GIVE THEM 7 THINGS, IF THEY WILL DILIGENTLY APPLY TO THEMSELVES, THAT THEY WILL NEVER FALL. Today's Promise: 2 Peter 1:4 The Bible contains over 3,000 promises. Every promise is God's commitment to you. Every command of God has a connecting promise because He always empowers you to accomplish His will. In this verse, Peter lists two purposes. First, God's promises are given for us to participate in His divine nature. Second, God's promises are given to escape the corruption of the world. Most Christians have no idea of the wonderful promises God has laid out in the scriptures. As you claim the promises of God, your faith will grow.
