Santiago Arana is a successful entrepreneur and real estate agent from Los Angeles. To date, he has closed over $4 billion in real estate. He is the number 1 agent in Brentwood, Number 3 agent in California and one of the top 10 agents in the United States! You can see Santiago on the Netflix Show „Buying Beverly Hills“ where he is selling homes to the rich and famous! Today I want to talk about his personal career, his mindset, his visions and his secret to success! When I saw Santiagos video on Instagram talking about the book „Think and Grow Rich“ I wanted to interview him right away. And now I want to know, how rich he thinks and how much he has grown and outgrown an older version of himself. Napoleon Hill wrote „Think and Grow Rich” in 1937 and here we are, thanks to his work 86 years later, talking about the big influence of his work! IG: @santiagoarana @therealmira
Santiago Arana was born and raised in a humble middle class family in Bolivia and came to United States after graduating college to learn English. He never anticipated when he landed in the wealthy town of Montecito, California to crash on a relatives couch, that this would be the humble beginnings of his lucrative real estate career. Santiago and I came up in the real estate business together and we were a part of a small group of young Turks who had great success in the early 2000s before the world blew up in the great recession and home sales came to a halt for about 2 years. In those dark days of the great real estate recession we were both under extreme stress and duress as we bought our first homes and had families we were supporting and it seemed like we would never sell a home again. At this point, Santiago dedicated his life to extreme discipline, a positive mind set, meditation and visualization and willed his way to achieve the life he wanted to create. Santi walks the walk and talks the talk and has achieved success at the highest elite level of the residential real estate industry. He puts in the work day after day and there are no short cuts. More than that he is a dedicated father and husband and is the poster boy for the American Dream. This is the story of the immigrant bus boy with huge ambitions who worked and hustled his way up to the top of the real estate industry. Santiago experienced a lot of heart breaks, disappointments, obstacles and road blocks on this path to greatness and he shares them in this episode of The (real estate) Deal With Danny Brown. To look at Santiago Arana now, one would think he was the luckiest guy in the world: great career, beautiful family and all the trappings of the good life. But looks can be deceiving. Coming to America from Bolivia with only $220 in his pocket, the clothes on his back, and a few other minor possessions, the only promise Santiago had was to stay on his aunt's couch for 8 months. A lot of hard work, plenty of risk and the love of an American woman proved to be the winning formula that brought him from washing dishes in a Santa Barbara restaurant without understanding a word of English to being ranked #1 in Los Angeles's most valuable real estate neighborhoods, west of the 405 freeway. A Principal and Partner of The Agency, he is ranked #8 among realtors nationwide, #3 in California and, for the second year in a row, #1 Latino Agent in the country for sales volume by the National Association for Hispanic Real Estate Professionals. It is not the critic who counts.
