What does it mean to be "born again"? How does being born again change our future? Those are the questions we will answer in these verses. First, we need to identify what exactly Peter means by the phrase: “born again.” Then once that is established, we can see the rest of the text unfold. We see that we now have a living hope, meaning, when we look to the future our hope is surely alive. It is not dead. It is not absent. It is not missing. It is alive! How do we know this? Because Jesus is alive! He rose from the grave and, for the born again person, there is an inheritance that is kept in heaven. Visit us online at: RenewalChurch.net

In 1 Peter, we are told to "be holy." How are we to do that, especially in this current age?
At Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Charleston, SC, our senior pastor continued his sermon series in First Peter. Who would know the saving and keeping power of God better than Peter himself? Guarding our faith is the work of God, and God keeps his own until the end.

People often say that the only certain things are death and taxes. But that’s not true. The only certain things are death and the resurrection.

A community is made up of people who live within its borders and a common identity develops from growing up in it and being a part of the life of the small town. In the church community, we’re born into the family/community when we are “born again” in Jesus. We have a common identity in Him and live within the boundaries He sets for life.

Heaven is God's ultimate grace. Heaven is not boring and not make-believe, despite what some people want to tell you. But heaven is not something that you can put off until later.
