Session 12 of Warfare Prayer discusses the difference between prayer and FERVENT prayer as well as how to pray for someone and get to the ROOT of their spiritual warfare problems. A spiritual warfare CHARGE patterned after the presidential speech prior to D-Day in WW2 is given as a final punctuation point to this series of lessons. It was a MOVING speech, and we have transferred the ideas stated there into a spiritual warfare setting for the Christian battle as a means of encouragement and motivation to do all we can for the Kingdom of God! Programmation musicale :  Amakhamandela - BCUC Sankara  - Gabin Dabiré Karma Code - Skai Isyourgod Mopti - Ray Lema ; Ensemble Partage.

Oak Grove Baptist Church

The sermon centers on the urgent call to live in light of the imminent return of Christ, emphasizing that while the timing of His coming remains unknown—reserved as a secret thing belonging to God—believers must respond with sober-mindedness, constant prayer, and a life shaped by divine perspective. At the heart of this ethical urgency is Peter's command to cultivate fervent, selfless love among believers, which he elevates above all other virtues, not only because it reflects God's eternal nature but because it is the only virtue that will endure beyond the present age, when faith and hope will be fulfilled. This love, described as 'fervent' and 'stretching out' in the Greek, is not sentimental but intentional, mutual, and rooted in the Spirit's work, enabling believers to forgive, restore, and preserve one another's dignity rather than expose or condemn. The sermon draws from Scripture to show that such love mirrors God's own mercy—covering sins not by ignoring them, but by bearing them with grace, reflecting the truth that God has removed our sins as far as the east is from the west. Ultimately, this love is both a reflection of our salvation and a testimony to the world, fulfilling Christ's command that His disciples be known by their love, and it is empowered not by human effort but by the indwelling Spirit who enables believers to live in accordance with God's eternal will.

His Grace Bishop Gregory reflects on the commandment to love God with all heart, soul, mind, and strength as the foundation for inheriting eternal life. He explores how true love for God demands fervent labor and zeal in serving Him, emphasizing that this inner fervency transforms even small acts into offerings pleasing to God. Bishop Gregory explains that this zeal sustains believers through the challenges of following God's commandments, making what seems burdensome into a source of spiritual joy. He also highlights how a fervent spirit protects against temptation, likening it to a fire that wards off intrusion. By meditating on Scripture and seeking God's help to “enlarge the heart,” believers can develop this fervent spirit, enabling their spiritual efforts to be accepted by God and leading to joy and perseverance in the Christian life. When God Is Not Responding to Your Hustle, but to Your Heart

What if the reason God feels silent… isn't because you're not praying hard enough, but because He's inviting you to stop striving? In this episode, I unpack what fervent prayer actually means — and why it has far less to do with intensity, volume, or emotional force than we've been taught. True fervency isn't spiritual hustle. It's submission. I talk about how real fervent prayer aligns us with God's will rather than trying to bend His hand, and how that alignment often brings peace long before it brings answers. This kind of prayer doesn't always change the situation right away, but it does change our posture, our discernment, and our trust. I also share a grounded, Scripture-rooted framework for practicing fervent prayer in everyday life — especially in seasons when God feels quiet, direction feels unclear, or you're tempted to push harder instead of listen deeper. If you're a Christian author, writer, or message-carrier who feels worn down from trying to "make things happen" in your calling, your book sales, or your income, this episode is an invitation to pause, realign, and return to the heart posture God responds to. Because God is not moved by our hustle. He responds to a surrendered heart.

The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people, meanwhile, were seeking to put him to death, but they could find no way to accomplish their purpose because all the people were hanging on his words. Luke 19:47–48Jesus had just entered Jerusalem for the upcoming Feast of Passover. He arrived in that holy city and then returned again the next day and entered the Temple area. As He witnessed the corruption of those selling animals for the Temple sacrifices, Jesus responded with fervent preaching in an attempt to cleanse the Temple from this corruption. He quoted the Prophet Isaiah and cried out, “It is written, My house shall be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves.” Luke's Gospel points out the reaction of the chief priests, the scribes and the leaders of the people. They were “seeking to put him to death.” However, as the Gospel further relates, “they could find no way to accomplish their purpose because all the people were hanging on his words.”It's important to consider this passage within its context. The words that Jesus spoke were words that sought to cleanse the Temple of corruption. With the approval of the temple priests, who benefitted from the temple tax, there were many people who were using the practice of divine worship to make a profit for selfish gain, turning the Temple into a marketplace. Jesus could see this clearly, and many of the people would have also sensed the corruption of these practices. Though they needed to purchase animals for the ritual sacrifices and Passover meal, many of them were most likely disturbed by this abuse. Therefore, as Jesus spoke with fervor and condemnation, it angered those who were responsible for the corruption but left the people with consolation. Hence, they were “hanging on his words.”The Gospel is always consoling, and, for those who are open, it leads them to hang on every word that is spoken. It refreshes and invigorates, clarifies and motivates. Usually when we think of the Gospel, we think of words that are gentle and inviting—words of mercy to the sinner and compassion for those who are struggling. But sometimes the pure Gospel message from our Lord fiercely attacks sin and evil. And though this may be shocking to the evil doers, to those with pure faith, these words also refresh and strengthen.Today, we need the full Gospel message. Many need to hear Jesus' gentle invitation to conversion by which their heavy burdens are lifted. But many others need to hear His firm words of condemnation. And the Church as a whole needs both of these messages to be proclaimed if we are to fully participate in the apostolic ministry of our Lord. Only our Lord has the right to condemn, chastise, and call others to repentance. But we are all called to share in this mission of our Lord. And though we do not have the right to judge the hearts of others, when we see objective evil and disorder within our world and even within our Church, we must cry out with our Lord, “My house shall be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves.” And when we do hear the holy and inspired words of God's messengers who boldly and courageously proclaim the truth and call others to repentance, it should inspire, invigorate and console us as we find ourselves hanging on their every word.Reflect, today, upon the Gospel messages that need to be preached in our day and age that are both inspired by God and are also fervently directed at corruption within the world and even within our Church. Allow yourself to support such holy preaching and to be inspired by it. Hang on these holy words of God's prophets today. As you do, God will protect them and inspire them to continue His holy mission of purification. My purifying Lord, the corruption within our world, and at times even within our Church, requires Your holy preaching and purifying action. Please send Your messengers to those in need so that all may be cleansed as You cleansed the Temple. May I share in this mission in the ways in which You call me, and may I always hang on every word spoken from Your merciful and fervent heart of love. Are We Seeing Another Spiritual Awakening? | Sunday Message

A New Beginning with Greg Laurie

As we witness a growing hunger for spiritual truth in our culture, we have to ask—are we on the edge of another Jesus Revolution? Pastor Greg Laurie shares why he believes we just might be. Notes: Focus verse - Nehemiah 9 Could this be the start of another spiritual awakening? The objective of proclamation evangelism is to clearly preach the gospel and invite people to Christ. Isaiah 43:19 (KJV) Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? Acts 2:17 (NLT) 'In the last days,' God says, 'I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.’ Psalm 85:6 (NLT)Won't you revive us again, so your people can rejoice in you? Younger men are more likely to become Christians than younger women. Is this another national spiritual awakening? I hope and pray it is. Gen Z has the highest suicide rate of any generation. Teens regularly use AI companions instead of human interaction. The only hope for this generation is Jesus and, for that matter, any generation. #1 In the US we have had four great spiritual awakenings. The first one happened in America before we were a nation in 1740. George Whitfield’s preaching drew massive crowds. The first Great Awakening didn’t just change hearts, it helped shape the moral DNA of the United States. America is exceptional. America is unique.America has been established by God. George Washington was quick to give credit to God for his success on the battlefield. #2 The second Great Awakening occurred during 1790s to 1840s and was led by many, including Charles Finney. #3 The third Great Awakening in America was from about 1857–1859.This revival began when a 48-year-old businessman namedJeremiah Lanphier began a prayer meeting on Fulton Street in New York City. “Revival is the rekindling of a flame, and when the fire is lit,it doesn’t just warm the church—it lights up the world!” —David Jeremiah #4 The fourth Great Awakening was the Jesus Movement. #1 Revival is coming back to life. Revival is refreshment; it’s restoration; it’s returning to original condition. Psalm 80:19 (ESV) Restore us, O LORD God! Let your face shine, that we may be saved! A revival is when God’s people come back to life again. A spiritual awakening is what America needs. Revival is what the church needs. Revelation 2:4–5 (NKJV) "…you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works,” #2 Revival is waking from sleep. It’s turning from sin. God’s prescription for revival or restoration is in 2 Chronicles 7:14. Read Nehemiah 9:1–4 (NLT) #3 If we want to see revival, we must pray with passion. Matthew 15:22 (NLT)"Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is possessed by a demon…" We need to pray like early church prayed for Peter to be delivered from prison.Acts 12:5 Fervent means displaying passionate intensity. #4 If you want to see revival, you must confess your sins. We all have sins to confess each and every day. 1 John 1:8 (NKJV) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. A sin of commission is doing what you should not do.A sin of omission is not doing what you should do.James 4:17 #5 They separated themselves from ungodly influences. #6 They heard God’s word, and they acted on it. The Bible is our model for how we ought to think and to live. John 15:14 (KJV)You are my friends, if you do whatsoever I command you. God told Joshua the secret to success.Joshua 1:7 (NLT) #7 Revival always leads to evangelism. The evidence of revival is a changed community. Acts 2:41 (NIV) Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. John 4:35 (NIV)“I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.” New believers need older believers to stabilize them.Older believers need new believers to energize them. --- Learn more about Greg Laurie and Harvest Ministries at harvest.org.
