Send us a textEpisode 24 – It's Your Right To Brag...We start this episode off the right way-with a Riv's Rant! Rob Riv vents about how Bad Santa was treated when he was trying to help in a Beginner's Modeling group and an Admin was giving him grief about a misunderstanding on HIS part. But, we determined that is just how it is in some groups. Then we get into the conversation about our trip to Connecticut and Armorcon. The good, the meh and well....there wasn't too much ugly. It was a great show, with lots of amazing work to take in. Aromorcon Debrief leads into the topic of “Brag Books” and research of our builds and how it can benefit the builder, both in judges' scoring and buiding to accuracy. We also talk Turkey...Shoot that is! Its coming up fast. Four days of scale modeling debauchery! midnight Thanksgiving day to midnight the Sunday after, November 28th-December 1st. Bendan McAleer has written for some of our favorite automotive sites, including The Truth about Cars, Road & Track, and Hagerty. Brad Brownell is a founder of RADWOOD, one of the best car shows on Earth. On this episode we talk about Canadian cars, bad cars, rad cars, 90s cars, old Porsches, and argue about what is slow. Ryan, Lloyd, and Dan welcome special guest Brad Brownell. Brad is the other half of Hooniverse’s Cammed and Tubbed Podcast. Brad is a co-founder of Radwood, which has experienced explosive growth this year. Our diecast discussion centered on Radwood era cars. Dan was humiliated for not having a clue about Initial D. Brad is most definitely a huge diecast collector, even though at first, he didn’t really admit to it. Sorry for the late upload, but this one actually may be worth the wait! Michael gets Bradley Brownell from the Cammed and Tubbed and The DFL Show podcasts (as well as a slew of other automotive media endeavors) on the show to talk about roadtripping and trying to stay both warm and cool, and conscious, in his 1976 912E, and most importantly, the show about 80s and 90s cars and culture called RadWood. It's a genuinely great episode, no sarcasm!

This week we are joined by 1/2 of the Cammed and Tubbed Podcast Cam VanDerHorst. We've been listing to Cam for a while on Cammed and Tubbed and if was finally great to have him on our show. We just did what car enthusiasts do, shot the shit about cars we owned and stuff that's related to cars that we like. It was a very off topic episode, but a lot of fun. The boys are back in too-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oown! James drops back in and so does Cameron VanDerHorst from the Cammed and Tubbed podcast to join Michael and talk with Jason Bowman from the Great Frozen North about his KLZE-swapped Mazda 323, his SR20DET-swapped Locost 7 and his SR20DET-swapped Ford Mustang II (yes, you read that right!). For all the japery expected whenever Cam and James are in the same place, quite a lot of good technical information gets covered.
This week's episode features news from Ford and Subaru, Craigslist stories from Hell, and an anecdote about Mac's encounter with a bitter old man and his 6th gen V6 Camaro. The guys also discuss their favorite car cliches, congratulate their friends on the success of the inaugural Radwood car show (Cammed and Tubbed, Clutchkick, Driving While Awesome!, and Automoji), and answer listener questions.

We're back from our holiday hiatus and Cam Vanderhorst, host of our HPN sister podcast Cammed & Tubbed, joins us to kick off the new year. It takes us about fifteen minutes for us to get around to talking about motorcycles (Because Cam). Once we finish talking about our cars and gifts, we discuss Sportsters, helmets, and Eddie Lawson replicas. Afterwards, Cam, Eric and Garrett compete as contestants on Pete's game show, "What's The Ask?" You can play along, so it's especially worthwhile to visit our Hooniverse post for this episode this week to see the photos we used in the game.

When we were joined by Cam Vanderhorst, one of the hosts of our Hooniverse sister podcast Cammed & Tubbed, our conversation spilled over into two weeks worth of material. In this first of two episodes, we discuss helmets and hearing protection, scooters, and tweaking Cam's Sportster. A little later on, Eric joins us for the tragic truth about barn finds, and whether there are still truly bad motorcycles on the market. Rest assured, like nearly every episode, we manage to mention the Yamaha TW200 and Suzuki GT750.
We are joined By Brad and Jason of The Cammed and Tubbed podcast, and Manual from Internet Brands. We recorded this one "live" from Warren's Vanagon across the street from Canepa cars and coffee. We talk about cars. Thanks for listening! Please subscribe, rate and review the podcast on iTunes
In part two of our very special Hooniverse Podcast Network crossover event, Brad (aka Tub of the Cammed & Tubbed podcast) joins us this week for a discussion of the odd differences between the car world and the bike world. It takes a while for us to even get to our topic, as we discuss hipsters and coffee snobs first, and it quickly takes a left-turn into a discussion of Porsches before we get around to talking about bikes. But regardless of what we discuss, everybody has a great time. Bradley is a genuinely nice guy and was terrific fun to have on the show.
