In this short episode where the first part of our live panel got cut off but what you do get is a fast, conversational catch‑up with JD, Calvin & Jennifer (SRG Offroad), Bryan (Beatrice JKU), Nathan (Mudhorn Gladiator), and Mike (JKTrlFnder). We swap Sand Hollow sand‑trap stories, talk the ‘Jurassic World' Badge of Honor app mess, react to Stellantis' $2.7B news, and share practical gear takes (RotopaX, Pull Pal, kinetic ropes). Shorter episode, same laughs and trail talk.
In this exciting episode of the Jeep Talk Show, host Tony Muckleroy sits down with Tom Zielinski, off-road enthusiast and creator of Four Fest Events, to dive deep into the world of Jeeps, off-roading, and the brand's evolving direction. Tom shares his insights on why Jeep shouldn't become solely a luxury brand like Range Rover or Mercedes G-Wagon, but instead balance its rugged roots for "rednecks and people like me" with high-end appeal. "There's plenty of room for both," as Tom puts it – from hardcore trail warriors to aspirational luxury seekers. We cover: - Jeep's new leadership under Bob Broderdorf and the shift back to core enthusiast values. - Upcoming events: Detroit Four Fest (September 5-6) with rock climb time trials, Off-Road Night Fest sponsored by Tyri Lights, and West Virginia Four Fest (September 26-28) at ACE Adventure Resort. - Balancing profits with Jeep's iconic "Jeepness" – off-road capability, community, and adventure. - EV tech in Jeeps: Thoughts on the 4xe, Recon, and why full self-driving (like Tesla's) could transform towing to Moab, but infrastructure and enthusiast driving experience must come first. - Welcoming newbies to off-roading: Tips on safe trails, stock Jeep capabilities, and building the Jeep community (without the club drama!). - Sponsor shoutouts: Get 15% off Trails Off Road with code JTS15 at TrailsOffRoad.com – detailed trail guides for your next adventure. Protect your windshield with 20% off Windshield Defense using JTS20 at WindshieldDefense.com. And don't miss Tyri Lights for military-grade brightness and durability. Whether you're a seasoned Jeeper hitting the trails or a newbie dreaming of your first Wrangler or Gladiator, this episode is packed with passion, stories, and real talk on keeping Jeep authentic.

Carole O'Neill's guest today on the Online for Authors podcast is Jen Sinclair, author of the book There's Always a Price. Jen Sinclair pens personal essays and contemporary fiction that explore complicated relationships, love, loss, and all the messiness of life. Jen lives in Saint Augustine, Florida, with her husband, kids, and spoiled pups. When she isn't working out story elements, belting out songs from one of her Spotify playlists, or having conversations with imaginary friends, she enjoys spending time outside walking beaches and trails, paddling waterways, or driving around with the top off her Jeep. She's published two women's fiction books, There's Always a Price and According to My Science and collaborated on the dark friendship fiction novel, The Accidental Death of MF Ascher. In my book review, Carole O'Neill stated: There's Always a Price is a contemporary novel. I enjoyed this book from page one. Thirty-six-year-old Cassie has stopped painting because of some neurological damage to her hand and her once-held dream has been shattered. Her husband Jason has kept their money problems from her and is about to lose everything, including Cassie's trust fund. Enter investor Lucas Dalton who offers to save Jason's business and allow him to put the money he stole from Cassie back before she discovers it missing. Problem solved. Or is it? There's always a price. Jen Sinclair's story takes us into a world where billionaires can have almost everything. This novel has been named a finalist in the Women's Fiction Category by the Feathered Quill 2025 Book Awards. Once you begin reading, you'll feel it should be the winner. Greg talks with Stephanie Cole, Co-Chair of the Jeep Creep, an annual fundraising event that supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The event brings together Jeep enthusiasts from across the region for a day of off-road fun while helping charity. Participants embark on a surprise route through the scenic backroads of Central Illinois, stopping at local businesses along the way for games, food, and community fun. One of the unique features of the Jeep Creep is that the route remains a secret until the day of the event, adding an extra layer of excitement. Each participant also has the opportunity to create their own fundraising page to support the cause further, with all proceeds going directly to benefit St. Jude. This year’s event takes place on August 16th, and registration is now open at www.stjudejeeps.org.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Welcome back to Who Are These Guys? - where the sarcasm flows like traffic on the LIE and the wisdom is as questionable as a $1 slice at 3 a.m.In this episode, Jesse, Jon, and Kurt break down the single dumbest way to clean a Jeep (spoiler: it involves a garden hose and a complete lack of common sense). From failed parenting hacks to the dark underbelly of soda, and a deep philosophical dive into why Diet Coke might outlive us all - it's another classic mix of chaos, comedy, and unsolicited life lessons. We also bet cold hard cash on who notices a camera change first, confess our driving sins (knee driving, anyone?), and debate whether sobriety is harder than dodging potholes in Queens. Coldplay concert scandals get the full WATG? treatment too - like TMZ, but with a Brooklyn accent. Warning: This episode may cause excessive laughter, nostalgic guilt, and spontaneous trips to Wendy's - even if you're listening from the DR. ⏰ TIMESTAMPS[00:00] A Great Idea Unfolds[01:55] Carpet Cleaning and Dave Matthews[05:30] Parenting Challenges and Lessons[26:34] Driving Adventures and Fast Food[32:54] Personal Reflections on Drinking[38:17] The Human Condition and Societal Pressures[43:21] Public Shaming and Its Consequences[55:55] Marketing and Addiction[58:47] Non-Alcoholic Beers in Movies[01:03:55] Final Thoughts and Reflections

After weeks soaking in Italy's lakes, mountains, cities, and countryside, we are back—and we've got stories. From misty lakeside mornings in Lake Garda to harrowing, almost-died-on-a-mountain Jeep turns in the Dolomites, this is a full-bodied recap of their three-week Italian adventure. Whether you're dreaming of Florence, fantasizing about spa days, or just here for the unfiltered travel laughs, this episode will transport you. You'll also get a dose of cultural reflection, some wellness wisdom from the Alps, and why sometimes the most luxurious thing you can do... is slow down. Some key takeaways from this episode include: Slowing down isn't lazy—it's powerful. The Italian pace reminded us how beauty, wellness, and relationships thrive without the rush. Where you are changes who you are. Culture influences energy, and immersing yourself in a place like Italy can shift your mindset toward care, connection, and consciousness. Nature recalibrates you. Whether it's a mountaintop hike or a boat on the lake, the outdoors offered perspective we didn't know we needed.
JD welcomes Marc Lawson, owner of The Jeep Lab and founder of the Florida Trail Team Challenge, for a deep dive into Florida's most intense off-road competition. With 45 challenges packed into one weekend—from recovery drills to blindfolded driving, marksmanship, survival tasks, and GPS navigation—the event simulates real-world wheeling scenarios that test skill, endurance, and teamwork. They discuss the evolution of the Challenge, the importance of Tread Lightly! ethics, and how trail stewardship is reshaping access in Florida's Citrus Wildlife Management Area. Plus, Marc shares that you CAN wheel in Florida, building partnerships with organizations like the Florida Off-Road Foundation, and what it takes to pull off a volunteer-driven event that's as exhausting as it is unforgettable.
What do mugshots, horses, and a surprise ride in a Jeep with two strangers have in common? They all show up in this unpredictable and hilarious episode of The JB and Sandy Show. The crew kicks things off with a deep dive into the guilty pleasure that is the Austin Mugshots Instagram account. JB admits he follows it, Sandy confesses he once recognized someone from it—and then drops a bombshell: he has a mugshot of his own from a wild night in Chicago in the '90s. The story involves a Cubs game, a mystery arrest, and two women in a Jeep who may or may not have been angels. Then it's on to the Story We Love, where Tricia shares a heartwarming update from the Austin Police Mounted Patrol, who took their horses for a lake day at Decker Lake. The horses swam, posed for photos, and even helped their handlers do backflips off their backs. Tricia, a self-proclaimed horse girl, is obsessed—and maybe a little in love with the idea of a motorcycle cop on horseback. The episode also features:A check-in on Phil Collins (he's fine, not in hospice).A debate over famous drummers who became frontmen.A hilarious moment where a guy pets a cop's leg instead of the horse. And a tribute to the unsung heroes of crowd control: horses.
Picture this: It's 1 AM. Your phone rings. Your heart races as you answer, expecting the worst. Instead, your college-aged daughter asks, "Dad, can I put the green gas in my Jeep?"That moment changed everything for entrepreneur and father of four Rob Finlay. What started as relief quickly became a sobering realization: Had he been so focused on building businesses that he'd forgotten to build life skills in his children? In this episode, Rob shares the wake-up call that led him to write a book and interview over 30 experts—from Navy SEALs to NASCAR drivers—to discover what young adults really need to thrive in the real world.Key Topics Discussed:The "Magic Carpet Ride" Reality: How our education system creates dependency, then abruptly demands independenceThe Social Isolation Crisis: Why young adults struggle with networking and real-world communicationEssential Life Skills: From financial literacy to calling 911 under pressureThe Good Human Foundation: Why character matters more than achievementCoaching vs. Helicoptering: Transitioning from protector to empowererMain Takeaways:✅ Include your kids in social situations - Let them see you interact professionally and personally ✅ Don't top up their shortfalls - Create opportunities for them to earn and problem-solve ✅ Focus on building good humans first - Character trumps credentials every time ✅ You can't give what you don't have - Model the life you want them to livePower Quote:"The whole goal for any parent is to produce a young person who's a good human. That to me is the most important. You've already won if you've got that." - Rob FinlayThis conversation will challenge you to examine: Are you preparing your children for the magic carpet ride to end, or are you extending it? The difference could determine whether your kids thrive or struggle when they step into independence.

Economy GM Slides 7% After Beating Q2 Earnings Despite $1 Billion Tariff Hit, Warns of Steeper Impact Ahead General Motors reported second-quarter earnings that surpassed analyst expectations, even as the automaker absorbed a $1.1 billion hit from tariffs - but it also warned about a coming steeper impact from tariffs moving into the second half of the year. In her letter to shareholders, CEO Mary Barra emphasized GM's resilience, stating: To strengthen its domestic manufacturing base and reduce import exposure, GM announced $4 billion in new U.S. factory investments in June. The plan will expand capacity by 300,000 units across key high-margin models — pickups, SUVs, and crossovers — at plants in Michigan, Kansas, and Tennessee. “This will help us satisfy unmet customer demand, greatly reduce our tariff exposure, and capture upside opportunities as we launch new models,” Barra wrote. Currently, GM imports about half the vehicles it sells in the U.S., primarily from Mexico and South Korea. In contrast, rival Ford produces about 80% of its U.S. vehicles domestically. Ford is expected to report second-quarter earnings next week. Meanwhile, Stellantis, which owns Jeep, said tariffs cost it €300 million in the first half of the year and warned that results in the second half of 2025 will be significantly affected. Shares in Stellantis and Ford both fell about 1% on Tuesday morning. Culture fixates on the externals, but it's what's going on inside that will elevate (or derail) your life. While restoring his 1978 Jeep CJ-7, BT took apart the engine, only to discover that things inside were not as good as they appeared. Connecting this physical reality to the spiritual, he shares 7 ancient practices proven to move your life forward. You don't need a shiny coat of paint if your engine is gunked up. Instead, focus on improving the internals, and everything else will fall into place.
