"Within these Santa films were bound the strength and will to bring holiday cheer around the world. But they were, all of them, deceived, for another Santa film was made..." We enjoyed (is that the right word?) our holiday-themed commentary for One Magic Christmas (you know...the one were the dad gets shot. in. the. face.) so much we decided to do another one! 2020 was a weird year, and it produced an even weirder Santa Claus movie: Fatman, Starring Mel Gibson as Santa (you read that right). Only Frank has seen this one beforehand, so we're all in for a treat. Hit up Peacock, rent it on the Blockbusters of the Internet, settle in with some booze and tag along for this wonky sleigh ride. It's summer time here at the Detective Agency and the boys are off getting some rest and relaxation, so we brought back one of our favorites from the Fix A Flick catalogue - "Armagedon" with Kate and Murda from There Will Be Porn Since they were on the show Kate and Murda went on to found More Banana Productions and Kill Room Studios. Based in Brooklyn, More Banana was founded in early 2018 as a response to a gap in the podcasting world. This gap was twofold: a noticeable lack of women working in audio and podcast production, and a need for women to not doubt their opinions, interests, and expertise, even in a media that does not highlight them as experts. More Banana was created to close that gap and elevate the views of women; not just because it is a woman’s perspective, but because it’s a damn good perspective. We couldn't be more proud of all of their great work and content and you should go listen to all 10 of their shows! Enjoy this summery walk down memory lane!
