Welcome to the hellscape that is 2025! We are back in the cave for episode 237, this time looking at two films from 1973, both shot largely in the Phillipines and both featuring dangerous women! We start off with "Devil Woman" which is known by several different names (and also listed with a variety of release dates) which focuses on a magical woman with snakes for hair who is seeking revenge on the people that killed her family. It's low-budget fun but not "good" by any metric. We follow that with "Wonder Women" fom show-favorite direct Robert Vincent O'Neil and with a stellar cast lead by Ross Hagen and Nancy Kwan. The plot revolves around an evil scientist with a money-making scheme to transplant healthy body parts from unwilling donors onto the bodies of rich people. Along comes agent Hagen who settles everybody's hash! It's a blast from beginning to end! Please let us know what you thought of the show, and send us some suggestions for future episodes. Please consider episode 236 to be our late Christmas present to you all! We are looking at two recent films from director Ryan Kruger, starting off with Fried Barry from 2020. This is such a trippy, insane and full-tilt experience that it might leave you scratching your head the first time you watch it. This isn't a bad thing since it only gets better each time you watch it! We follow that up with 2024's Street Trash, which is a sequel to the 1987 film of the same name. Though it has moments where it seems like it's trying to make a point about corporations and society, it's really just a really fun Troma-inspired movie with some great splattery effects, and some genuinely hilarious comedy. We highly recommend BOTH films! Please let us know what you thought of the show, and send us some suggestions for future episodes. You can email us at flickersfrom@yahoo.com or flickersfrom@gmail.com. Dogs. Football. Spaghetti. All of them are very lovable things. But we inherently understand that when we say that God loves us (or that we love him), the love that we have for these other things falls substantially short. As Pastor Vann invites us to explore the Magnificat in Luke 1, we discover that God's love is both comforting and unsettling. It is a transformative force that challenges our pride and priorities while bringing us into the fullness of life He intended

During the Advent season, and particularly on this third Sunday of Advent, we remember the joy that is promised to us in Christ. In the joy that the wise men experienced when they saw the star to the joy of God's deliverance, we see that it is appropriate for us to respond to the good that God works in the world. However, what could it mean for us to be a people marked by God's joy, especially in the more difficult moments and situations? Pastor Vann shares about a joy that goes beyond our circumstances in today's message.

After a Northern Flicker carves out a nest cavity, chances are the birds will use the cavity for just one nesting season. Buffleheads are the only ducks small enough to use the cavities of flickers. Clear-cutting in some northern forests has reduced nesting habitat for flickers and Buffleheads alike. Both benefit when consumers choose paper products made from recycled paper.More info and transcript at BirdNote.org. Want more BirdNote? Subscribe to our weekly newsletter. In this candid and sensitive episode, Niall addresses a listener's unexpected predicament in the episode titled "No Christmas Lights Flickers Because I'm Wearing Her Knickers." The topic emerges from an email received by a listener grappling with the discovery of their partner's cross-dressing habits. As the listener faces the daunting decision of whether to reveal this private aspect of their life or maintain a facade of infidelity, Niall opens up the lines to callers for advice. The episode begins by sharing the listener's email, detailing the accidental discovery of cross-dressing items by their partner. The listener faces an ultimatum to move out, with suspicions of infidelity looming. Niall sets the stage for callers to weigh in on whether the listener should disclose their cross-dressing habits or keep them hidden. The lines are then opened to callers who share diverse perspectives on the matter. Some advocate for transparency, emphasizing that honesty is crucial in a relationship. They suggest that revealing the cross-dressing preference may be challenging but is essential for maintaining trust and authenticity. On the flip side, other callers express the view that certain personal preferences should remain private, and divulging such information might complicate the situation further. They consider the potential impact on family dynamics, especially during the holiday season. As Niall wraps up the episode, he synthesizes the advice offered by callers, providing thoughtful insights into the delicate balance between personal privacy and open communication within a relationship.

Not because I don't care, but because I DO.In spite of not watching the news or going on social media this week, I've been thinking a lot about the state of the world.
