Oh, this episode was SO much fun! When Kerri and I planned our night to go see the Barbie movie...all of the 90's/nostalgia came up and we just HAD to record about it.

Join Andrew and I as we recap our trip to Chattanooga! We had such a great time and enjoyed reliving it again as we argued over what order we went where and also getting caught up on whether or not we had pita bread or kettle chips.....

What upppp? Basically, Kerri and I sat down and caught up with one another...and we recorded it! I gave Cash and Skip updates, Kerri gave some beach recommendations, and we even talked about future guests. Kerri and I had SO much fun chatting with Khelsi Stone from Harris County, Georgia. We took time to get to know Khelsi and highlight her latest adventure on the dating show, Farmer Wants a Wife. Khelsi loves love and describes herself as someone who has always been a hopeless romantic. Even BEFORE social media days (hard to remember, huh)?! she sent in a DVD to be on the cast of the Bachelor! The three of us really connected over our love for reality tv. We recapped some funny happenings from episode one and created a game for "anytime Farmer Hunter uses a crazy idiom, you ______.'' (Take a drink when_____) I'm excited for y'all to get to know her. On this week's episode, I finally got to sit down and record with my friend, Lucy McEwen! Lucy is a Columbia native, store owner, wife, and mother of four. For as long as I can remember, she's just made me feel "at home" in Columbia, and it's people like her that make me love this community so much. Lucy is WISE. We talk about the importance of being adaptable and the power in letting people help you. She gives a little insight on just how she manages it all, and puts a major emphasis on "it takes a village!" ALSO, she most recently got home from a bucket list trip with her husband, Dan to Africa, so you know I had approximately one million questions about that experience! So intriguing...I had no idea there were even such things as double decker planes! Imagine being in my living room, coffee in hand, just chatting....I'm starting to realize how this podcast is forcing me to carve out time to sit and talk to people, kid free, one on one...and it's truly life giving to me.

This week we get Andrew's take on “newborn necessities.” We talk baby names and diaper genies. If you aren't here for the baby babble, FF to ab 40ish min. We switch gears to talking ab control, access to technology, and our opinions on sharing our location. Thanks for listening!

This week I sat down with a personal friend of mine, Taylor Hunter. Taylor is a photographer, turned boutique owner, turned hat bar engineer (that's totally my made up description of what's probably more like, "hat maker" "hat stylist" or something)! I am so proud of all that she has done, and I'm exceptionally giddy about this hat bar that is just taking off! Taylor is the owner of Parks & Price, a boutique in Columbia, TN. She has recently teamed up with Zac Paris, owner of Rafter P Hat Company, and together they are offering CUSTOM hats right here in Maury County.

This episode was fun to record! We talked about our highest of highs and our lowest of lows as a couple. I share that therapy, Jesus, and a lot of self work has gotten me here. Andrew admits some of his own faults...such as letting a construction worker USE MY BATHROOM.

Hey, hey I'm back!

I've been looking forward to sitting down with today's guest, as it's been on the calendar for nearly a month! This week I had the honor of talking with Linzy Boshers. I venture to say if you're in Middle TN you've heard at least a little bit about Linzy's story. Linzy contracted COVID-19, leading to covid pneumonia in early 2022 and spent 6 weeks in the hospital and rehab. The doctors gave her a 50% chance of survival after being put on the ECMO machine and she is now a walking miracle! Linzy is a Columbia native and also an educator (hello-I know first hand how underrated they are) who has overcome a lot over the course of the last three years. It all began with losing her father suddenly, the day before starting a new position, at a new school, in a new district. Shortly after, her mother fought a 7 week battle with cancer that ultimately carried her to Heaven rather quickly to join her father. As if that wasn't enough, this storm was rounded out with Linzy literally fighting for the life of herself and her precious miracle baby, Makenna who is due on June 8th. Wow, just wow. I think there is so much that can be gleaned from this episode and the way Linzy has and continues to carry herself through...and the Lord! We discussed things she does/doesn't remember while being in and out of sedation-including hallucinations and her interactions with the nurses that were taking care of her. We talked about how special her sister Kendall is, and how this entire experience has completely solidified her faith in the Lord.  I hope y'all enjoy this conversation that yes, includes some heavy topics-but is discussed in a way that we could also laugh and give thanks.

This week I chat with Rachel Fuller, who has dedicated her life work to helping others enjoy life and reach goals by reworking limiting beliefs. She is also a world traveler, and small business owner! I spent a lot of time wrapping my mind around her experiences in other countries....SO.MANY.COUNTRIES. We talk about how a dream written in a prayer journal came to fruition years later, the importance of resting, and we get an introduction to the "woo-woo"that is EFT (emotional freedom technique). It is very apparent the joy that Rachel gets from helping others help themselves. This episode I invited/forced Andrew to join me. I'm still working on building my confidence with the equipment and the overall process of recording, so please bear with me.
