Gott sei Dank ist der Glaube ist nicht nur reserviert für tief spirituelle Menschen. Wäre es so, hätten wir alle ein Problem! Aber ganz normale Menschen aus allen Lebensbereichen können gläubig sein. Wir neigen zu der Annahme, dass Glaube ausschließlich zu Menschen wie Abraham, Mose, Elia, Samuel, David, Daniel, Petrus und Paulus gehört. Ohne Frage waren sie alle Glaubenshelden, aber der Glaube gehört nicht nur ihnen allein. Die Bibel sagt: Gott hat jedem Menschen ein Maß an Glauben gegeben. Niemand wird den Himmel verpassen, weil ihm zu wenig Gnade gegeben wurde, um an Jesus Christus zu glauben und gerettet zu werden (s.Apg 16,31). Gott möchte, dass wir nicht nur glauben, sondern auch danach leben. Das Neue Testament versichert uns dreimal, dass „der Gerechte aus Glauben leben wird“ (s.Hebr 10,38). Du magst sagen: „Ja… Aber mein Glaube ist so klein!“ Dasselbe haben schon die Apostel gedacht. Sie sagten zu Jesus: „Mehre uns den Glauben!“ (Lk 17,5 ELB). Und Jesus antwortete: „Wenn ihr Glauben habt wie ein Senfkorn, könnt ihr zu diesem Maulbeerbaum sagen: ‚Erhebe dich und pflanze dich ins Meer!‘, und er wird euch gehorchen“ (s.Lk 17,6). Wie viele von uns, so dachten auch die Apostel, sie bräuchten mehr Glauben. Aber Jesus korrigierte diese lähmende Fehlvorstellung, indem er ihnen sagte, dass man keinen LKW voll Glauben braucht, um erstaunliche Ergebnisse zu sehen. „Glaube wie ein Senfkorn“ kann großartige Resultate hervorbringen. Jesus sagt: Wenn du den Glauben, den du hast, in die Tat umsetzt, wird er Ergebnisse bringen!

The génocidaires cannot win.The five participants connected to the Gaza genocide through their own respective experiences: Leila Al-Shami (Syria: The Inconvenient Revolution) is a Syrian-British activist and writer who lived in Gaza for three years; Karena Avedissian (Obscuristan) is an Armenian scholar who continues to reflect on the legacy of the Armenian genocide and the role of Genocide studies today; Daniel Voskoboynik (Hidah: Jewish Counter-Colonial Thoughts) joined us from what used to be the Warsaw Ghetto, site of one of the most infamous episodes of the Holocaust; israa' (The Mutual Aid Podcast) has been involved in Gaza mutual aid (click here for the link); and finally Elia is a Palestinian-Lebanese whose grandfather was a Palestinian refugee.They spoke about pushing back against despair, and the importance of rejecting Israel's genocide as the new normal.
