This is the archive for all Marvelous Moms Club episodes. The podcast has new episodes now being released under the name "Marvelous with Kirsten Tyrrel". Thank you for listening to the show!
Faith is such a dear sweet person, just the sound of her voice will soothe you into a lull! She has experienced the heart breaking trial that many mothers and hopeful mothers experience- infertility. She has miraculously been able to give birth to two daughters- with a third baby on the way! I love the perspective she has on experiencing hard things and how her eyes were opened to the benefit of allowing others to shoulder your burdens with you. Her struggles have opened up doors and conversations with other women experiencing the same pain. She is also an accomplished entrepreneur with a thriving ecommerce business!
Erin has been a friend of mine thanks to Periscope for nearly three years now. I have adored her since her first live stream and have thankfully kept up with her this entire time on social media. She is a wealth of knowledge as a nurse and a mother. And girls- she can bake a MEAN batch of cookies! I'm posting the recipe below cuz it's like kind of a big deal.
These two ladies are SO impressive and have turned their own personal struggles as women and mothers into a community that serves THOUSANDS of women!
Hey Marvelous Moms! I know every single episode is inspiring in one way or another, but wow, this one gave me the chills! Amy Twitty is our guest today and she tells us about her fighting efforts to adopt her children. I loved listening to her amazing stories and I know you will too.
Homemaker. Do you love that word or do you hate it a little? Most of us Marvelous Moms feel the pressure of keeping a home in order at least sometimes, right? For a lot of us, it's our "job." Kendra Hennessy is the owner of "Mother Like a Boss" and she is on the podcast today to tell us that we don't have to let this word define us! Also, we don't have to dread cleaning our houses and everything else that comes with the word "homemaker." This episode definitely changed my perspective on homemaking and I am excited to share it with you.
Today's guest has chosen to remain anonymous for her own privacy. Her subject is a sensitive one but it needed to be talked about on the podcast because unfortunately, infidelity does happen sometimes. Many victims choose to leave and some, like today's guest, choose to stay. I hope her story can help you if you are in a similar situation, or if you know someone who's gone through it! We could all use and give a little more forgiveness, don't you think? Thanks for listening!
Hey Marvelous Moms! If you're looking for advice on how to be more efficient and balance your work life, this episode is for you! Suzanne is the author of the book Mompowerment: Insights from Professional Part-Time Working Moms Who Balance Career and Family. It has five stars on Amazon! Listen to our chat to learn more about her and her ideas. You'll love it!
I don't know how many of you have been with me from the beginning of this podcast, but if you have, you probably know how the book "The Miracle Morning" changed my life! That's why I'm so excited about this episode. Lindsay McCarthy teamed up with Hal Elrod, the author of the original book, to make a version especially designed for parents and families!
Aubrey is one of my longest and best friends since high school! She's amazing in every way and has been through one of the hardest trials a mother could ever be put through: losing a baby.
If you like positive people (don't we all?) you'll love Dena! Like Aubrey from last week's episode, Dena suffered the loss of a child when she delivered a still born baby. She's also recently lost several other close family members, so she is no stranger to loss.
Hey ladies! Cheryl is a mother to five kids she's adopted. I love the way she navigates motherhood with all of her unique children! She has some excellent ideas, and I couldn't help but write some of them down to use for myself! One of my favorite tidbits from Cheryl was how she decides what her day is going to be like before it even starts.
We all like a good come back story, don't we? Jess grew up in a less-than-perfect home and had great examples of what not to do in her own marriage. Instead of continuing a cycle of poor choices and broken families, Jess has done everything she can to have a healthy relationship with her husband and children.
Hey Marvelous Moms! I'm really excited for you to listen to Debbie's episode today because I relate to her so much. I know that the things she says will relate to many of you and your situations, but I'm hoping that even more of you will be able to learn something about other families and what their situations may be!
We're back after a little break! We're so excited to share new episodes with you, starting with a great friend of mine! Michelle Gifford is on the podcast today talking about doing things your way. She's a business mentor, podcaster, and a photographer - just to name a few.
Emily Scanlan works from home as a baker of cupcakes, cookies, and all the yummy things. She's also been through an interesting marital situation. Listen to the episode to find out what I mean!
ou know that feeling when you figure out what works best for YOUR family? That's what today's episode is all about! We all have our unique situations and schedules and families and we have to come up with our own special way of living our lives! Some things that work for one family might not be that awesome for another... and vice versa!
Not many of us can say we've been critiqued in the tabloids, but Melisa Osmond found herself in the spotlight in a very unwelcome way.
Today we've got Danielle Gohr of the podcast "Catch This Mama" for Mompreneur Monday! It was so fun to interview Danielle! Like me, she runs a podcast geared toward moms. I can't wait for her to interview me next!
I'm so excited about this episode because I'm sure most of us need help in this department. Susie is a baby sleep consultant! If you struggle at all when it comes to your baby's or toddler's sleep (and we probably all do!) this episode is for you. With her business Sleep Baby Love, she shares her knowledge and experience with overcoming sleep problems.
You're gonna love this one! Cat & Nat are the epitome of best mom friends. If you don't already know them, this episode will make you want to. "Momming" is better together!
Staci is a life coach and mother of one beautiful girl! She has been through her fair share of trials and has come through them with strength and grace.
Shara is an awesome woman I met at the Wannabe Balanced event this year. Can't you tell just by looking at her that she's the coolest girl EVER?! If you don't believe me, just listen to the episode...
Naimah Shaw is a mother to four kids and a successful blogger. She was born and raised in Guyana, South America. She home schools her kids and has always loved being a writer and sharing her passions!
Chelsea Andersen is mother to four kids. Her oldest son is in his early 20s and this episode focuses a little bit on a trial they went through with him as a family! Even when things seem horrible, it is possible to find beauty in everything.
met Natalie through Periscope last year and she has an amazing story! So many of you have been through heart-wrenching experiences and it's beyond comforting to know you're not the only one. We all have our trials, but the struggles that come with a newborn baby are unmatched when that sweet baby has serious health problems!
Meet Samantha Naud! I got in touch with her through another Podcast guest from a couple weeks ago, Jesika Harmon. Samantha is a sweet and wonderful person and it was such a joy talking with her!
I'm so excited about my interview with Jen Hardy. She has seven kids ranging from ages 5-27. For the past few years, Jen's chronic sickness has made mothering even more challenging than usual.
Meet the beautiful Jesika Harmon! She is the mother of five kids on Earth and two babies in Heaven. esika is currently homeschooling two of her children, and one of her favorite things to do is read with them. She knew she wanted her daughter to love reading, and she had a prompting from God saying "If you want her to be a reader, she has to see you read."
Aimee is one of my friends all the way back from my immature crazy high school days. If you had told me back then that we'd get to connect as adults and be friends like we are now I wouldn't have believed you! Aimee and I had very different life situations back then, but it's amazing how motherhood and just adulthood in general can bring you together.
Today's episode is special for several reasons, but the main one is because the guest is my own sister! Ashlee went through something all too common in motherhood: postpartum anxiety (and depression). We thought it would be important to share her story while it's still fairly recent and fresh in her mind.
Based in Lehi, Utah, Lindsey runs Lactation Link. She uses her education and experience to help other moms gain confidence with breastfeeding. There are so many things that new moms have to stress over and worry about, and she doesn't want breastfeeding to be one of them! "I didn't like seeing that uncertainty and that fear in their eyes. I wanted to replace that with confidence and know-how."
Hey everyone! Today's episode comes from the founder and CEO of Fawn Design bags, Jenny Wecker! You probably already love her bags, and her interview will make you love the story behind them! Jenny has two adorable girls. Georgia is almost two and June is nearing 10 months! Not only does she take care of two young children, she also runs her business full time. She's the type of mom who proves you can accomplish huge things while still being an amazing mom.
Beth is one of my favorite people, who I met on....yep, you guessed it- Periscope! I owe my entire life as it exists now to that amazing platform! Beth and I met in real life less than a year ago at a blogger conference and I kind of wanted to stick to her like glue. She was the real deal, a salt of the earth honest to goodness person. I admired her and everything she stood for- and still do! What I first knew about Beth was her incredible cake making skills. She'd prop us up in her kitchen as she live streamed while baking and mixing and frosting all kind of treats. She also shared stories about her kids, her challenges and her testimony of God and her faith. I am honored to be able to share in even more depth, her story that has touched my life. This is truly one of the most marvelous moms I know and I'm so proud to call her my friend! Thank you Beth for being brave enough to share it all and inspire so many with your words!
