Hey everyone! May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental health for dads is a subject that comes up in a good majority of our episodes.  When I was editing and listening through episodes I felt like releasing this episode earlier in our rotation for Mental Health Awareness month made a lot of sense.This episode is with Mitchell Osmond of Dad Nation.  Mitchell shares his story about how as a dad and husband he reached a point where he felt like he was living a life he wasn't proud of.  He talked to us about how he changed his habits and routines and how he now coaches dads on how to be more the person they want to be.  In this episode Mitchell talks about the lows he felt when he was at rock bottom, and Justin talks about his struggles with going from 1 kid to 2 kids and all the roles you have to be in fatherhood.  Mitchell also mentions that if you reach out to his company for coaching to make sure to mention that you heard about him on this podcast.We will say over and over again that one of the points of this podcast is to let dads know they aren't alone.  Fatherhood makes you look in the mirror and a lot of us don't like what we see when we do.  We really hope if that's your story, you know you're not alone.  There are lots of other dads just like you trying other figure out how to become the dad they want to be.  And if you feel alone talk to a friend, or send us a message.  Fatherhood can feel very isolating, but you aren't alone.  You're never alone.  And with that said, we hope you enjoy the episode. Send us a textFollow us on Facebook and Instagram @theimperfectdadspodcast . At that time there was a very popular TV sitcom “Leave it to Beaver.” On the show Ken Osmond played Eddie Haskell, Wally Beaver's best friend and, at times, his worst friend. He appeared in many of the 235 episodes. Ken also appeared on the television in “Lassie,” “Ozzie and Harriet,” “Petticoat Junction” and “Happy Days.” He later joined the LAPD, working as a motorcycle officer. In 1980 he was hit by three bullets while in pursuit of a car thief. A bullet proof vest saved his life.

As one of 39 kids of the world famous Osmond family (who sold over 100 million records), our guest Nathan Osmond grew up on the set of his uncles TV Show during their heyday. He himself went on to form another generation of Osmond singers, who toured with such 90's acts as New Kids On The Block, Naughty By Nature, and Colour Me Badd. The Osmonds reached what was arguably the peak of their fame in 1973. That year, the band made what many considered an interesting decision and released “The Plan,” a landmark album that explored the eternal nature of God's plan and the role of Jesus Christ in salvation. Alan Osmond almost always sang backup vocals but, as the oldest of the Osmond brothers, was in many ways the leader of the brothers' group and the writer of many of the Osmonds' songs.
