What is your relationship like to death? Is it something you avoid or something you embrace? In this episode I share some lessons as well as a Mexican folktale that I recently learned from author, poet, and psychoanalyst Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estès. In this work she talks about the Life, Death, Life cycle, and how things need to die in order to be reborn into something new & more aligned. We can't have life without death. We can't have death without life. They're interdependent. Sometimes we hold onto things way past their expiration date whether it's ideas, relationships, careers, passions, beliefs, etc. And in holding onto it, we don't give it a chance to regenerate into something deeper and wiser. We fear that once we let it die, it's gone forever. And that's just not true. 11:25 - The Life, Death, Life Cycle25:44 - The Lady Calavera Mexican Folktale (Godmother Death)44:28 - Takeaways from the storyResources: Women Who Run with The Wolves by Dr. Clarissa Pinkola EstesTheatre of The Imagination by Dr. Clarissa Pinkola EstesAbout Brittany PollardBrittany Pollard is a wellness practitioner, trauma resolution coach, mother, storyteller, and founder of Our Wildest Dreams. Welcome to the brand new Our Wildest Dreams podcast!!!In this episode I️ share some general direction of the show shifting from Everyday Intentions to Our Wildest Dreams! There's been a lot of healing and clarity on my side, which is why I️ decided it was time to shift the energy of the show! Our main theme of focusing on small steps on to intentional create what you desire will remain the same, but there's going to be way more depth, truth, and mysticism in this show. This podcast is all about the process of creative emergence and what's possible when we tap into the power of our imagination. I'll be telling stories of visionaries from past and present timelines, old wive's tales (folklore), myths, and bringing on guests who are in their creative expression. My prayer is that as you listen to the episodes you find yourself in one of these stories and come into connection with your own creative potential. Note: Visionary Architect is a term I️ learned from my trauma resolution coach, Rachael Maddox. You can check out her work here: https://www.rebloomtogether.com

Instead of walking into a room feeling like you're not qualified, like you don't belong there, and that you have nothing to offer, remember that you are there for a reason. Your were divinely called to be in that room, to manage that office, and to sit at that table with your unique perspective. This episode is the start of a juicy thread I'll be doing over the next few weeks. With us working to reclaim own voices, spaces, and existence it's only fitting to begin with what I consider to be a basic human need in today's society, self-care. Self care is one of those buzz-words that is consistently thrown around and presented as bubble baths, green smoothies, sunsets, doing yoga, going on retreats and just really treating yourself to a fancy or luxurious reward for working hard or overcoming something stressful. It's presented as this indulgent thing we need to do in order to feel worthy about ourselves but that's not the full truth.   Inside this episode, I talk about: What self-care is and how it's vital to our existence.  How saying “No” to others means saying “yes” to ourselves. How self-care is a practice needed in every single area of our lives.  Sometimes self care is extremely hard, but it leads us to healing.  Exercises to start your self care practice.    Join me on Instagram to keep the conversation going!   The Everyday Intentions podcast removes the overwhelm of change and highlights how to navigate the “in between” moments of our current reality vs. our dreams through storytelling, humor, and present day life situations. In this episode I talk about the ways in which I've walked through life distracted and missed out on opportunities to create lasting memories. When I look up from my devices and slow down from the chaos of always needing to be busy, I've experienced the world in a completely different way. I'm able to create a connection to other people and myself and I don't feel as though time has escaped me.  In this episode, I talk about: Filling up our memory banks with sensory memories.  Slowing down to truly notice what's around us.  How you can be in your dream life and still overlook it. Creating space and time in smallest, simplest ways. How to be more present in the midst of busyness and chaos. Q: How do you plan to be more intentional with your time?  Let's connect! I believe in the power of community and walking this journey together. Plus, I'm nosey and I want to hear your thoughts! Instagram

What's up fam! It's been a while, but I am BACK! I'm so excited to bring you this episode because it really highlights another important aspect of this show. In the first episode, I speak about the differences in growth and transformation and how we can start to be more intentional with our actions to facilitate the growth we want to create. This episode builds upon that aspect and speaks to the importance of finding our power as we shift, change and grow.  Some of the things I cover are:  Questioning where we're spending our time.  Getting into alignment and looking at the WHY behind what we want.  Becoming solid in our voices and concrete in our existence.  Releasing perfectionism and just doing it anyway.  Thanks so much for tuning in! If you feel called to do so, please subscribe and leave a review on your listening platform. You can catch me on IG at @brittanychenise! From spending years behind the scenes soaking up other people's knowledge and tuning into their lives, I stopped making my own life a priority. Subconsciously deciding my dreams were incomparable to the people around me, I stopped putting in the effort to make them a reality. Then I woke up. I realized as much as we experience joy, we all experience moments of our lives that feel the exact opposite. But both ends of the spectrum require us to become intentional about the way we move about the world in order to transform and grow.
