Join host Joel Spencer as we journey into rediscovering what has been forsaken by the modern Church.
When placing the Creator's commands, Messiah's words and the doctrines of men side by side, what will we do with what we've been handed, in regards to how we approach the Sabbath Day? Will we follow Yahweh's Word or traditions of men? Does it even matter? Let's find out. #sabbath #torah #ancientway #religion #yahweh #yeshua Why Men Changed the Sabbath Exploring John Chapter 5: Part 3 - Sabbath Law or Man-Made Traditions Exploring John Chapter 5: Part 4 - Did Messiah "Break" the Sabbath Ten for Ten Series - Did Yeshua "Break" the Sabbath
All of us have endured a trial of some sort. Some of us are within the challenges of one right now. What are we to do? I want to encourage us all to endure well! Let us fight off the urge to just "make everything OK" and allow the Most High to be our Helper and strength. Perhaps if we can patiently bear the trial, and emerge out the other side, we can learn all that He desires us to and be perfected into a more suitable and pleasing child of the Most High. Do you endure well or do you desire instant comfort and relief? Let's find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. The series concludes here! If the Bible tells us that lawlessness defines the ones who will be cast out, what does this mean for the religions that tell us that "in Jesus, there is no longer a law?" Biblically, judgment is declared for the lawless transgressors who willfully walk away from the Most High's commands and instructions. Lastly, we're told by Messiah that "love will grow cold when lawlessness increases." Do you know what this means? Let's find out!
I grabbed the phone to record a very brief video discussing some off the cuff thoughts towards our ongoing sin series. Sin Series Playlist on YouTube
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. The series continues as we invite all to confess that we all "miss the mark." Because of this, what then are we to do? Give up? Merely practice "greasy grace" and consider all of our righteous deeds/works as a waste of time? Do we simply avoid striving to "hit the mark" entirely, since we won't hit it anyway? Let's find out what our Example Yeshua did, in order to be found as a sin-LESS, well-pleasing Son. Do you know? Let's find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. Do we have records of men in the Bible who made it their life's goal to "hit the mark" and live obedient to the Creator's Ways? Is there still a place for us today to still read the Word and hear of "practicing righteousness" and learning Father's Instructions? I will propose that I'm fully convinced that we've set the bar far too low because we've been errantly taught that our good works are merely "filthy rags." We must be careful that we're not becoming a law-less people. Will you join with me in striving to "hit the mark?" Let's find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. In Part 1 we start off by laying a most-important foundation. What words does the Bible use to define sin, in both Testaments? Do we know? Does it really even matter? I will suggest that if we can establish this properly (biblically), we will see that perhaps "sinning" is not quite what we've been told. Perhaps we will begin to have a major shift in our thinking towards obedience and Father's Instruction. Do you now what sin is, biblically? Let's find out!
When you think about the Creator's Law - His Torah Instructions - do you see freedom or bondage? A time is here where people are abandoning sound doctrine and embracing lawlessness, just like the Bible prophesied. What about you? Let's find out!
Here's a brief episode presenting the wonderful consideration that walking in Father's Instructions brings freedom and liberty. Do you believe that "Jesus came to remove the Law because it was a burdensome detriment?" If so, this message is for you! Do you know that the Bible clearly states that liberty is found in the Creator's precepts? Let's find out!
A 5 minute talk about the real-life struggle that is to be a people who are wiling to wait.
While many people rightly understand that Messiah wore tassels (the Bible has examples of this, of course) they still simply label wearing them as being merely "Jewish custom." But what if they're actually a covenant sign with a covenantal purpose that is for our good, just like they were for Messiah? In this episode we're going to ask this question, and many more, as we discuss the tassels on the garments of Yahweh's People. Do you know what the Bible says about this? Let's find out!
It seems that discerning Who are Yahweh's Set Apart covenant People is getting easier with each passing day. Most fall within two primary camps: A) Those embracing and admitting that we've all inherited deception and repent or B) Those digging in your heels deeper into the popular doctrines of men, unwilling to move. Do you know which path you're choosing to walk upon? Let's find out!
In this episode we discuss Paul's warning to Timothy of an age that was to come that is surely now here (2 Timothy 4). People will only want to hear a desirable word that they already agree with. They will turn away from truth. They will turn towards myths and fables. So could this be us? Could we be the ones that this was prophesied of? How do we be sure that we are pursuing truth and not merely perpetuating man-made traditions and myths? Let's find out!
What motivates us to live the way that we intentionally choose to? Is it really foundational biblical commands and counsel or merely religious traditions? It would be beneficial for us to establish the difference. Do you live to bring glory to the Name of the Most High? Let's find out!
Messiah told us that the way that leads to life is narrow and constricting. Do we *really* believe that? Let's find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. A quick talk about the principles of boundaries. Provision and care are within them. May we not be so quick to bust through and pursue false freedom.
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. While many people boldly state that the "today's church" needs to be more like the "Acts church", the interaction between the Jerusalem council and the new believers, in chapter 15, seems to get overlooked. There was a time when men wanted and welcomed counsel. I will present that we return to this simple, yet often difficult, biblical principle. Do you want counsel? I do! Many Believers are beginning to ask, "how in the world did Christianity get here?" Well, I believe that there is an answer, but we must go way back to the immediate generations that followed Messiah's earthly exit. In this episode I'll promote a question for your consideration: What if the Body of Messiah is so grossly disconnected from what It was intended to be because the fruit that is growing on the tree of Constantine's efforts is now coming into maturity? Do you know of the historical shift of removing all that was errantly labeled the "Jewishness" of the faith? Would you consider that this is possibly why Christianity looks like it does today? Let's find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. According to the Bible, not Jewish or Christian tradition, whose Passover is It? Most importantly, who is It to be observed and memorialized for? In this episode, we'll allow the Word to answer these two simple questions. If you find that the Bible gives different answers than you have previously believed, what will you do? Let's find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. Have you inherited the belief that Passover was a custom for another people group that you are not? Have you been told that it was their possession? Have you been told that Messiah fulfilled it all so now we've moved past such observances and given the freedom to create our own? Part 1 will use the Word to begin answering our three primary questions. (See playlist description.) Do you know why the Bible states that the Most High's Set Apart People are to be observing the Passover today? Let's find out!
This is a very short audio episode discussing the simple fact that throughout the Bible, Yahweh is referred to as a dwelling. His Name is a fortress. He is a strong tower. He is safety and covering. The Most High is holy. There is none like Him. And a house is a sacred space.
In this age, accolades abound for all manner of things. But what if what we learn, even things that we may be rewarded for knowing, is not truth according to the Scriptures? This short story will challenge us all to properly embrace truth and abandon the patterns of this world. Do you ride the current of conformity or do you filter all things through the Word and make sure that what you're adding to your life is not useless knowledge? Let's find out! Many times, if we're honest, we easily recognize seasons in the natural yet are guilty of overlooking the natural progression of seasons in our spiritual lives. This 8-minute episode is a very brief encouragement to whoever might need it. Let us endure well and always remember, our Father is a Redeemer of all things.

The Seed of Abraham & Yahweh's Great Name Without a proper understanding of covenant, one's foundation will be deficient and incapable of remaining. Do you know of this? Let's find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. Many biblical themes run all throughout the Scriptures. The theme of covenant is a frequent one. We see this with the account of David and Jonathan's son, Mephibosheth. Here we see that covenant blessings are beyond us and nothing that we earn. However, the invitation should call us to respond and humble ourselves before the covenant-keeping Creator. Do you know about this? Let's find out.
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. If we cling to the truth of the Bible, we see that there are those who the Most High does and does NOT hear. This episode goes through 11 different texts to show us a clear pattern that should move us to be assured that we have entered covenant, so that our prayers ascend up to the Most High. Are you familiar with this? Let's find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. The crying out for help (shavah) that the Hebrews did while in captivity was only one part of the entire event, that was their deliverance. Their cry merely caused the Most High to remember His covenant with their forefathers. Here we see a biblical pattern that runs through the entire Word, from beginning to end. Although we live in an age where everything is about an "individual/personal salvation", the Bible reveals something much different. A heritage. A legacy. A covenant that is bigger than us all. Do you know of this? Let's find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. In this episode we'll examine the Hebrew word "shavah" which means "a cry for help." This word appears in our primary text (Exodus 2) and is an integral part of why Yahweh was moved to act on behalf of His covenant People. Did the people remember Yahweh's promise to Abram all the way back in Genesis 15? Does this biblical pattern of "crying out for help" matter to us today? Let's find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. It's time to begin setting the stage for this 6-part video series. We'll start by discussing our primary text - Exodus 2:23-25. Questioning Christian-American politics is always a no-fly zone, but why? What if by ignoring tough questions, the masses are being led astray with the entire world by a movement that has been formulated to manipulate them? Using the news of the recent hostage releases as our platform, we will ask - Have we been duped to believe everything that we're told? Are we lacking patience and discernment when we are fed information? How do we respond when information crosses the desk of our consideration? The Word tells us that "the whole world lies in the power of the evil one." What side are you on and how does one even know? Let's find out!
After reading some writings of Josephus that explain the historical records of the end of Moses' life, I was compelled to record a challenge to all of us. Seeing how the Israelites grieved over how they had treated Moses can teach us some wonderful lessons, if we allow it. Do you purposely walk in an awareness of honoring and respecting Yahweh and others today? Let's find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. This episode is primarily a biblical reminder for those who will not fall prey to the false signs and wonders that are coming. For these who stand for truth, a great persecution is coming. All cultures will unite to come against those who will stand up for the Word above all else. Just because the unified masses follow something does not make it right. The majority will hate those who oppose them and call out their false spirit - just like they hated Messiah. Only the narrow path-walking sojourners will reject this age of deception. If that's you, are you ready? Let's find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. Here we'll use biblical texts to establish context for our subject. The biblical pattern reveals that all cultures - both religious and secular - unite to come against Father's anointed. This episode is a warning to those who side with the majority belief systems and go with cultural norms, whether religious or secular, and oppose clinging to the Word above all else. This camp will be led astray into the great deception, joining themselves to the anti-Messiah spirit. All is unifying together to make war with Yahweh's People. Are you one who takes the time to discern the spirits or do you run after every "move of God" that blows through? Are you *really* ready to count the cost to come out and be separate? Let's find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. In this introduction episode we'll lay a basic groundwork for biblically-defined false signs, wonders and miracles. False ones will possess certain attributes that we must be alert to, to avoid being deceived in days to come. A false spirit is now here and will increase activity amongst the Body. Myriads of people will be led astray. Are you ready? Let's find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. In the New Testament we're told of an age that will come when people will turn away from hearing the truth and wander off. And what will these wander off unto? Myths. Myths come in all types of flavors and offerings. How do we know that we're not found in this group of people who have forsaken truth and wandered off into traditions and myths instead? The Bible clearly tells us what is truth! Let's find out what it is!
The Bible clearly tells us when the new year begins... and it is most assuredly not January. So, why do the masses, that claim to walk in Father's ways, celebrate according to the ways of the nations? Let's find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. In Deuteronomy 18, Yahweh instructs the people to "be blameless/perfect before [Him.] Did He call and require men to walk in a way that they were incapable of? Much later, in Luke chapter 1, two individuals are deemed to be "walking blamelessly in all the commandments and requirements of the Master." In a religious dispensation that declares works are filthy rags and no man can be good apart from Messiah, what do we do with these many Scriptures that speak of men who were upright, just and "perfect?" Do you know what it means to be "tamim" (just and upright) in Father's sight? Let's find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. Although entire religious and secular worlds have equally embraced the Christmas holiday, what about those who desire to cling to the Creators Ways, above all else? Do we follow the crowd and continue on with the traditions of man-made celebrations (like Christmas and Easter) in order to fit in? Do we begin to follow traditions of Judaism instead? If not, what then? Is there something else? Yes! Yahweh's Holy Days that He gave as a wonderful gift to men so many years ago. Father's appointed, set apart times are when His set apart People are to forever remember all that He's done, is doing now and will do in a coming day. Do you know this? Let's find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. We've discussed a lot in this series, haven't we? If Messiah did not come to override and replace His Father's perfect Law, in order to "set men free" then why did He come? Did He come to earth in order to remove "a burdensome yoke" of His Father or to tear down the religious laws of the non-believing leaders of His day that had weighed down the people? Let's wrap things up and find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. When we read the Greek wording for "break" in today's text, we find that Messiah "loosened" the Sabbath. In this episode we will explore the idea that what Messiah "loosened" was the talmudic laws and traditions of men that had been heavy burdens placed upon men, not His Father's Sabbath laws which were always a wonderful gift to men. The only Sabbath laws that He superseded and "broke" were those of the non-believing leaders. He was returning the Sabbath to what It was intended - for good! Sabbath was, and is today, the *perfect* time to heal a crippled man and set Him free! Did you know that Messiah never "broke" the Sabbath of His Father? If He did, wouldn't He be a transgressor of the Fourth Commandment? Let's look into the Word and find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. Here we'll discuss the fact that the non-believing Pharisees were not guilty of upholding the Torah commands of Yahweh and thereby refuting the works of Messiah, but rather they had exalted their own talmudic traditions over Yahweh's Ways and had set up traditions that had become burdensome. An honest study quickly reveals that the Scriptures teach us that the Creator's Laws are good. We are not to ADD TO (non-believing Pharisees) nor TAKE AWAY FROM (Christians) His commands. Most of us must repent from living on our side of this transgression. Can you consider a hard suggestion as we explore John chapter 5 together? Let's find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. While popular teaching tells us that the non-believing religious leaders of Messiah's day "missed" Him because they clung too tightly to the Old Covenant, what does the Word say was the reason? When we read the Gospels and see the common phrase, "it was 'unlawful' for them to do that on the Sabbath" we must be responsible students of the Word and ask, "according to what 'law'?" Most importantly, what did Messiah Himself say was the reason that they could not receive Him? Do you know? Let's find out!
* This originally aired as a video episode on YouTube HERE. The new series gets underway examining the scene in John 5. What do we do with verses that were not in the original text and tend to influence our understanding? What was *really* happening at this Pool of Bethesda? One thing is sure, Messiah made it clear that He possessed the power to heal and restore. The backdrop will be set to properly launch us into exploring John chapter 5, in a brand-new, 5-part series. Are you ready? Let's find out!
