The podcast of Rev. Kevin C. Benton aka "Rev Kev." Rev Kev is the Senior Pastor of World Harvest Worship Center. On this podcasts he shares inspirational thoughts, reflections and encouraging messages based on Christian beliefs.
In our journey of faith, we're exploring the powerful concept of 'vision of victory' and how to see through God's eyes. The key message revolves around Proverbs 29:18, reminding us that without vision, people perish. This isn't just about physical sight, but spiritual revelation and direction from God. We're encouraged to seek God's plan for our lives, understanding that He reveals His will through scripture, prayer, and personal experiences. The lesson emphasizes the importance of aligning our lives with God's vision, using Psalm 119 as a guide to keep our ways pure according to His Word. We're challenged to engage more deeply with the Holy Spirit, recognizing His role in guiding us into all truth as mentioned in John 16:13. This message is profoundly relevant to our daily lives, urging us to seek God's revelation actively, trust in His plans, and allow the Holy Spirit to illuminate our path forward.
In this powerful message, we're challenged to cultivate a vision of victory in our lives. Drawing from Romans 4:16-21, we're reminded of Abraham's unwavering faith in God's promises. Just as Abraham believed against all hope, we too are called to see beyond our current circumstances and trust in God's ability to fulfill His word. This isn't about blind optimism, but rather a deep-rooted faith that stands firm even when everything seems to be falling apart. We're encouraged to speak our miracles into existence, calling things that are not as though they were. This practice of faith isn't just about positive thinking; it's about aligning our words and thoughts with God's truth, even when our reality doesn't match up yet. As we face our daily battles, let's remember to keep our eyes fixed on the vision of victory God has for us, pressing through the crowds of doubt, circumstances, and opposition to touch the hem of Jesus' garment. By fully believing in God's promises and His ability to perform them, we can overcome life's battles and walk in the victory He has prepared for us.
In our spiritual journey, we're constantly engaged in a battle - not just against flesh and blood, but against unseen forces of darkness. This message illuminates the nature of spiritual warfare, drawing from 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. We're reminded that our weapons aren't physical, but mighty through God for pulling down strongholds. The enemy's tactics of deceit, distraction, and doubt are exposed, urging us to be vigilant. But more importantly, we're equipped with powerful tools: prayer, Scripture, and obedience. By presenting ourselves as living sacrifices daily (Romans 12:1-2), we can renew our minds and stand firm against the enemy's schemes. This isn't just about grand spiritual battles, but about our everyday choices and reactions. Are we giving our day to God? Are we using the victory Christ has already won for us? This message challenges us to develop a lifestyle of worship and battle-ready faith, reminding us that in Christ, we're never alone and always victorious.
In this message, we're challenged to examine our love for God and how it manifests in our daily lives. The central theme revolves around Jesus' teaching in Matthew 22:35-40, where He emphasizes the greatest commandments: loving God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and loving our neighbors as ourselves. This scripture serves as a foundation for our entire faith journey. We're encouraged to reflect on areas in our lives where we might have inadvertently placed idols before God - whether it's our jobs, possessions, or even family. The story of King Josiah from 2 Chronicles 34 is used to illustrate how we can purge our lives of anything that doesn't align with God's will. This message challenges us to take a spiritual inventory, asking the Holy Spirit to spotlight areas where we need to surrender more fully to God. By doing so, we can cultivate a deeper, more authentic relationship with our Creator and experience the peace and victory that comes from truly putting God first in all aspects of our lives.
Are we building our lives on a firm foundation? This powerful message challenges us to examine the roots of our faith, drawing inspiration from Colossians 2:6-7. We're called to be 'rooted and built up' in Christ, establishing ourselves firmly in our beliefs. The story of the wise and foolish builders from Luke 6 reminds us that a house - our life - built on rock withstands the storms, while one on sand crumbles. This isn't just about surviving trials; it's about thriving in our walk with God. We're encouraged to see our faith as a growing, living thing - like the roots of a mighty oak tree, constantly deepening and expanding. How can we apply this? By regulating our lives in union with Christ, overflowing with gratitude, and standing firm on God's promises. It's time to stop letting life's challenges shake us and instead root ourselves so deeply in Christ that we become unshakeable.
In our spiritual journey, we're called to walk a path of worship - not just through song, but through our entire lives. The key scripture, Proverbs 3:5-6, reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. This isn't just about blind faith; it's about cultivating a deep, abiding relationship with God that permeates every aspect of our being. We're challenged to present ourselves as 'living sacrifices,' an interesting paradox that speaks to dying to our old selves while being fully alive in Christ. This walk of worship isn't easy - we're in a constant spiritual battle against principalities and powers. But by renewing our minds and taking every thought captive, we can resist the enemy's schemes and grow deeper in our faith. The message urges us to examine our lives: Are we truly walking in worship, or merely giving lip service? It's a call to radical commitment, to loving God with everything we have, and to allowing that love to transform how we interact with the world around us.
In this powerful message, we're called to 'rise up' and shine as believers in a world filled with darkness. The central scripture, Isaiah 60:1-3, reminds us that even as darkness covers the earth, the Lord's glory will arise upon us. This isn't just about passive faith, but about actively standing up for our beliefs and letting God's light shine through us. The message draws a fascinating parallel between Elijah's showdown with the prophets of Baal and our own spiritual battles today. Just as Elijah rebuilt the altar before God's fire fell, we too are encouraged to rebuild our spiritual altars, allowing God's transforming fire to consume our lives. This isn't always an easy or quick process, but it's essential for our spiritual growth. We're challenged to make Christ first in every area of our lives, from our daily interactions to our deepest struggles. The message urges us to hunger and thirst for righteousness, to be 'combustible material' ready for God's fire. It's a call to move beyond complacency and to fully commit ourselves to God's purpose, even when it means facing our deepest-rooted issues.
In the this year of Awakening, one aspect of this awakening will be Restoration. There will be restoration in the believers lives, their relationships with the Lord, restoration of those things the enemy has tried to steal! There will be a restoration of reverence for The Lord and His Holiness and Righteousness in the Body of Christ and the World!
When we give our lives to Christ we become new creations, old things pass away, all things become new. We get a fresh start on life. This is great news. Our lives with Christ after that becomes a journey. During this journey the old ways, or "Old Man" will try to return in our lives. During this journey into the newness of life with Christ we must not just Talk the Talk of being a Christian, but we must Walk The Walk leaving the old man and our ways behind. The great news is we do not have to do this alone, Jesus is with us and walks with us! Walk The Walk!!
Does Size Matter? A lot of times we hear people say "I don't have enough faith or I need more faith." This is a deception. The enemy works through doubt and unbelief to weaken our faith. It is not size or quantity but the quality of our faith that moves mountains. 100% pure faith is all that is required to move the mountains in your life. the key to a successful walk of faith is to operate in pure not diluted faith!
We all have a destiny. God has a determined destiny for each and everyone of us contribute to this The first part of this destiny is developing a relationship with His Son Jesus. Throughout our life there are many devices and schemes the adversary will use to try to keep us from or slow us down on the road to our God given destiny. Decisions we make, things we do, distractions, our attitude and behavior can all contribute to this dilemma. There is one thing that a lot of us allow to manifest in our lives and steals our destiny from us. That one thing is Procrastination The Thief Of Destiny. Do not put off until tomorrow, what needs to be done today. Do not allow Procuration to be the Thief of Your Destiny!
This year will be a year of restoration and reconciliation. Those who have been separated from God and return to Him, will be restored and join the separated remnant. Those who have never known God will be reconciled and join the restored and separated remnant. Those who have been separated and serving Jesus faithfully and the enemy has stolen from them will experience a restoration of what has been stolen and also experience a deeper relationship with the Lord! The separated remnants mission in 2023 is the be the Ambassadors of Christ we are called and chosen to be. Christmas time is a season of joy. A season of giving and a season of receiving. At the birth of Jesus wise men brought gifts to our Lord and Savior. These gifts have signifigance and meaning. Everyone is searching for something. Many of us spend our lives searching for things to make us happy, fulfill our needs and desires. The treasures and pleasures of this world will never meet these needs. What many of us don't realize what we are searching for is the savior. Its not until we find Him will our lives become complete. Search for the Savior. Seek to find Jesus. As we celebrate Christmas this season, let us not just celebrate family, friends and gifts. Let us search for the savior and celebrate Jesus who makes us complete. Jesus is the reason for the season. Search for the Savior. Search for More of the Savior. Search for Jesus and you will Find Him!
Life is full of various ups and downs, struggles, storms and situations that are difficult, painful and sometimes potentially devastating. The Good News is that those who hope is in the Lord, those whose trust is in the Lord can Soar Through the storms like an eagle. Trust in Jesus, fly on Eagles Wings of Faith and soar through the storm!
Circumstances and situations that life brings can cause anxiety, stress and even depression. In times like these we need to be solution minded not situation minded. There is light at the end of the tunnel. See your victory, speak your victory into existence and do not let the circumstances dictate the outcome of your situation. Be a Game Changer!
God is calling His people to a closer walk with Him! Unfortunately the majority of churches and believers are satisfied with visitations or occasional encounters with The Lord. The Lord loves to visit with us. However, He desires so much ,ore. He desires Habitation not just visitation. He wants to live with us, dwell with us and inhabit our lives. Our time is running out so seek Him while He can be sought. He is waiting on us to invite Him to be a part of our every day life, not looking for visitations, but seeking and desiring His habitation in our lives.
Tired of being let down, feeling like you can not count on anyone? Feel like no one really knows you or who you really are? Tired of getting close to others and realizing they are not as close to you as you thought? Tired of the only thing people think of intimacy with you is sex and not a deep closeness that can't be separated? There is good news. There is one who is Intentionally Intimate with you because He loves you, He loves you for who you are and can be counted on every time! His name is Jesus and he if faithful. He is always with you and cares for you, for who you are and not what you do for Him. Our God is Intentionally Intimate with us and He is Faithful by His Design!
As we walk through our daily lives we may face struggles, temptations, sickness, disease and various other circumstances and situations that could frustrate, anger and even scare us. We may face attacks and deceptions from our adversary the devil that are meant to harm us and have us living in fear. It is important during these times that we must know who we are in Christ, that Christ lives in us and most of all who Jesus Christ is. When we need a place to run to, we must run to Christ! We must know that He is Our Fortress, He is Our Refuge and He is our Hiding Place!
At the fall in the Garden man's existence was changed. This change appeared to be forever. With this fall came sickness, disease, death, and all of the emotional, psychological and various issues that we face on a daily basis. The good news is this change is not permanent, it is not forever. Jesus Christ came to the earth, lived a life free of sin, suffered the penalty of death for crimes he did not commit. Why would he does this. That answer is easy, it is because He loves you! He Loves Us! Jesus' love for His creation propelled Him to the cross where he reversed the curse of the fall in the Garden of Eden. It was His Love for us that reversed the fallen state of man. HIs love defeated the wicked plans of the devil. The answer to everything we go though is in the cross and the love of Jesus. There is nothing His love can't defeat, His Love Conquers All!
Through the many challenges that we face, we are never facing them alone. We can always be confident in knowing that through Jesus we are strong. We can be assured that we are surround by His love, HIs presence and His protection. Know that He is always with us should give us a sense of satisfaction no matter the circumstances of the moment. Take confidence in knowing you are Strong, Surrounded & Satisfied in and By Jesus!

The Holidays are over, Christmas has come and gone. So what next? At Christmas we celebrate the birth of Jesus, but what next? We should celebrate Jesus every day we are alive. Even when times are confusing, uncertain and even painful we must celebrate Jesus and trust in Him! Marry & Joseph had to trust God all through Mary's pregnancy', throughout His childhood and all the way to His crucifixion. Like Mary, Joseph, David and many other biblical people, we have to trust God in all things. Trust Him in Good Times. Trust Him In Bad Times, and Trust Him in the in between times. No matter the circumstances Trust God! He will not let you down!
With all the distractions in our world, the media, and in our every day lives it easy to lose the meaning of Christmas. We must always remember Jesus is the Reason For The Season & He is the Miracle of Christmas!!!
We go through many challenges, changes and seasons in our lives. During these times we try to get by on our own strength and intellect. We must learn to lean on Him. Living a life leaning on Him is a life of peace, persistence and satisfaction. Learn to Live Life leaning on Him!.
As we go through life and the various pleasures, struggles, victories, defeats and situations that it brings we can be confident of one thing. No matter what, no matter where, if you believe are a believer you are in the hands of Jesus. Even in times that seem to be setbacks, we can be encouraged the we are In His Hands and He is at work in our lives!
Catch The Fire was an amazing evening of God's Presence, Power and Anointing! It was hard to compile a 5 minute highlight video from the 2.5 hours of praying for people at the altar. God did so many things. One miracle that God performed was to open a women's ear and restore hear hearing!!! I believe you will be touched by this miracle!
Rev Kev's message from the "Catch The Fire Revival" at World Harvest Church In Roswell Georgia. Living life as a believer in Christ we need the Fire Of God in our lives. Having occasional encounters or touches of His Fire are not enough for us to lead a victorious life. We need to be consumed by His Fire. Every day of our lives we must live with the dire to be consumed by His Fire.
Jesus Is The King Of Kings! Nothing anyone can say or do will ever change that. The question we need to ask ourselves "Is He the King Of My Heart" When He is the King of our Heart we can walk in His Love, HIs Power and Victory!!!
Life has its ups and downs. Life has its struggles and its times of uncertainty. No matter what is going on in life, God is in control. If we continue to trust Him, Follow Him and never give up on Him, no matter the circumstances the outcome is good. God can takes form the prison cell to the palace!
The world around us is constantly changing. We have natural seasons that change bringing different climate and conditions. Just like the world around us our lives are filled with changing seasons. We need to navigate through these seasons of change. Trust in God, keep your hope and focus on Him and He will guide you through the various seasons of your life!
In life we desire things, we want things. Some things come right away or rather quickly, while others take time. Sometimes we trust God for things, believe He is going to do something through us or for us, or maybe we are asking for the fulfillment of a desire. Some Times The Waiting is The Hardest Part. Though it may be hard and difficult it so worth it when we wait on God and His Plans, His Purposes and His Promises. Be encouraged even though the waiting is the Hardest Part ,,, It is so worth it!!
Is life leaving you feeling unsatisfied and unfulfilled? Tired of feeling separated from God? God is calling us out of the shallow end of HIs presence. He is calling us into the deep things of a relationship with Him. If we draw near to Him he will Draw near to us. Come out of the shallow end and Dive into the Deep and enjoy the presence of God!
