In this message from Acts 17, we explore Paul's “missional masterclass” as he proclaims Jesus in Thessalonica and Berea, facing both revival and fierce opposition. This preach reminds us that every Christian is a missionary - whether called to go or to stay - sent by God to reach their city with the gospel. Through the example of the noble Bereans, we're challenged to value biblical truth over personality and hype, and through Paul's persecution, we're reminded that spiritual pushback is real when God's kingdom advances. Ultimately, the sermon points to Jesus - the greatest missionary of all - who came from heaven to earth, endured the cross, and rose again so we could have peace with God.

February 15, 2026 - Sunday AM Bible Class In this episode we study 2 Corinthians chapters 8 and 9, exploring how the apostle Paul shifts from defending his ministry to instructing the church about generous giving. Neal situates these chapters in the broader context of the letter, contrasts the wealthy church at Corinth (Achaia) with the poor but generous Macedonian churches (Philippi, Berea, Thessalonica), and explains the urgent need: support for the impoverished saints in Jerusalem. Topics covered include: the relationship between grace and giving, examples of eager and sacrificial generosity from the Macedonians, the spiritual qualities reinforced by giving (faith, speech, knowledge, earnestness, and love), and the practical call to complete pledged gifts rather than leaving needs unmet. Paul's emphasis that giving should come from the heart — willingly, cheerfully, and sacrificially — is highlighted, along with his insistence on accountability in handling contributions. The episode uses practical illustrations from modern disaster relief and congregational stewardship to show how voluntary, faith-driven giving differs from forced redistribution. The speaker references related texts (Matthew 6; Romans 12; 1 Corinthians 16; Titus 3) and points to the ministry roles of Titus and a well-known brother who accompanied Paul to ensure transparency and trust in the offering. Listeners are invited to examine their own hearts toward giving and to grow in the grace that produces generous, joyful stewardship.   Duration 44:26

Bethanie Williams, AI-Assisted Cyber-Physical Attack Detection in Smart Manufacturing Systems

CERIAS Security Seminar Podcast

The rise of Industry 4.0 has transformed manufacturing through the integration of cyber-physical systems, connectivity, and real-time data exchange into increasingly automated and intelligent platforms. While these advances improve productivity and efficiency, they also introduce vulnerabilities to cyber-physical attacks that can degrade product quality, damage equipment, and pose safety risks. Effective detection depends on understanding which data sources and levels of granularity provide sufficient visibility for accurate anomaly detection and attack identification. Replicated environments, such as digital twins (DTs), help address the challenges of collecting high-fidelity data and executing complex attack scenarios in live production systems. This talk presents an AI-assisted framework for detecting cyber-physical attacks in smart manufacturing using real machine experimentation complemented by DT–based replication. The framework evaluates multiple data sources, ranging from high-level operational data to low-level control and side-channel signals, to understand how data fidelity and context influence detection performance. A hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) DT is used to replicate machine behavior, safely execute attacks, and enable controlled experimentation that would be impractical in live production environments.Through experiments on a real CNC machining system and its corresponding HIL-based DT, multiple cyber-physical attack scenarios are evaluated using statistical, machine learning, and deep learning-based detection methods. Results demonstrate that detection effectiveness is highly dependent on attack type and data granularity, highlighting the need for domain-aware, multi-source monitoring strategies. The framework is further extended to additive manufacturing, illustrating how insights derived from CNC systems can guide attack detection in related manufacturing domains.Overall, this work demonstrates how combining AI-based detection with real-world experimentation and DT technologies enables more robust and practical security analysis for cyber-physical manufacturing systems. About the speaker: Dr. Bethanie Williams is an R&D, S&E Cybersecurity Engineer at Sandia National Laboratories, where she specializes in applying artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance the security and resilience of cyber-physical systems in critical infrastructure, including power grid systems, healthcare facilities, and advanced manufacturing. Send us a textWe continue to lay the scriptural groundwork to learn if miracles exist today. We noted again that the Hebrew writer tells us that in the Old Testament, God spoke to the patriarchs through the prophets, but now speaks to us through Jesus. We noted in the last lesson that we don't receive God's Word in any other way today than by hearing, reading and studying the bible. We looked at the passages that teach us that in the last lesson and we mention those passages in this episode. We talk about the Christians in Berea who we are told that they searched the scriptures to make sure what the apostles were telling them was true. We discuss what Paul said about the gospel and what it consists of. In that discussion we note that there were a lot of witnesses that were with Jesus after He was resurrected including the apostles. Jesus told the apostles a number of things that would occur in Jerusalem. We note what is said about Pentecost and what happened on that occasion that relates to the subject of miracles. We point out in this episode that Jesus said He didn't teach the apostles everything they needed to know and He would send the Holy Spirit to teach them all truth. We note that John says that Jesus performed more miracles than what are recorded in the Bible. Those that are recorded are designed to prove who Jesus is. We will continue in the next episodes to look at the miracles performed by others in the New Testament and discuss the reason they were performed. Take about 30-minutes to listen in on our discussion. Have your Bible handy so you can verify what we are saying. There is a transcript of this Buzzsprout provided for your convenience.

In this episode of The Burros of Berea, I sat down with Brad Robertson, founder of Grace Reach, whose journey from traditional church life through burnout, hyper dispensationalism, and ultimately into fulfilled eschatology is as honest as it is compelling. Brad shares how a lifelong passion for Scripture was nearly buried beneath what he calls “toxic discipleship,” a system that emphasizes spiritual performance over the finished work of Christ. His rediscovery of the gospel of grace radically reshaped not only his theology, but his understanding of discipleship, covenant, and the character of God Himself. This conversation traces how grace, not effort, brought clarity, freedom, and renewal to his faith, and why so many believers have never truly heard the gospel even after years in church. What makes this episode especially powerful to me personally is how Brad connects fulfilled eschatology to real life application. Rather than treating Revelation as a battleground of charts and timelines, he shows how it proclaims the gospel from beginning to end. The New Heaven and New Earth are not distant abstractions, but the present reality of God dwelling with His people, the water of life flowing through the open gates to heal the nations. Brad's vision challenges both futurists and preterists to recover the heart of the message: freedom from law based religion, confidence in Christ's finished work, and a faith that transforms how we love God and others. This is not just a theological discussion. It is an invitation to rediscover joy, assurance, and purpose in Christ today! Envious unbelieving Jews stir up a mob against Jason and accuse the believers of proclaiming another king, Jesus. Paul and Silas flee to Berea, where the Bereans are called more noble for eagerly receiving the word and searching the Scriptures daily to verify the teachings.

Episode Synopsis:About the time Paul began his second missionary journey, a serious famine swept through Palestine–greatly impacting the Jerusalem church.  Those who lived in the region knew how serious such things could be and so they prepared for it–stockpiling grain, spices, and animal feed, etc.  But as soon as a church was organized in Jerusalem–after Pentecost–Jewish Christians found themselves cut off from the synagogue and its well-established relief system.  Now on their own, the Jewish Christians in Jerusalem were apparently suffering horribly and were in desperate need of relief–specifically funds to buy food and supplies locally.Tensions between Jewish Christians and recent Gentile converts to Christianity were apparent from the moment the gospel spread into Gentile regions–as indicated during the Jerusalem Council (Acts 15).  At that council, the church renounced the Judaizers and affirmed that God had blessed Paul's efforts to take the gospel into Gentile regions–which began in earnest after the Macedonian vision (Acts 16:9).  Paul planted churches in Philippi, Thessalonica, Berea, and Corinth.  While these new churches aided and encouraged each other, Paul understood that if the Gentile churches–who had means–took an offering for the Jerusalem church, it would go a great way toward helping fellow Christians in genuine need.  It would also de-escalate the worry and anxiety that Jews felt toward Gentiles who were until quite recently godless pagans and often persecutors of the Jewish people. When Paul arrived in Macedonia, he tells us that there was some unspecified serious trouble and that he would strive to get things cleared up before he traveled south to Corinth.  Despite the troubles in the churches in Macedonia, they had taken up a surprisingly generous offering for the Jerusalem church–so much so that it was a major sacrifice, even beyond their means, which Paul describes as an act of grace.  Now he gets word from Titus that the Corinthians (who had been collecting a similar offering for a year) and had not followed through with their collection.  As a congregation they were far better off materially than the Macedonians, but were so distracted by divisions, the subterfuge of false apostles and other matters, the offering had not been finalized.  In chapters 8-9 of 2 Corinthians, Paul addresses this matter head-on.For show notes and other recommended materials located at the Riddleblog as mentioned during the Blessed Hope Podcast, click here: https://www.kimriddlebarger.com/

The Browns fired head coach Kevin Stefanski, and the Orange and Brown Talk crew is here to break down all the fallout. Mary Kay Cabot, Ashley Bastock and Dan Labbe react to the news from Berea, analyzing the decision to part ways with Stefanski while retaining GM Andrew Berry. They dive into the press conferences by owner Jimmy Haslam and Berry, reading between the lines to understand the real reasons behind the move. Was it simply about the eight wins over two years, or did the front office lose faith in Stefanski's offensive vision? They discuss how Berry's successful 2025 draft and recent trades likely saved his job, but now the pressure is on him more than ever. Looking ahead, the search for a new head coach is on. Will the Browns target an offensive-minded coach to pair with a new quarterback, or promote from within with someone like Jim Schwartz? Plus, what does this mean for the future of Shedeur Sanders? They debates whether Stefanski was dealt a fair hand and what needs to happen next for the Browns to finally turn the corner. For the final time this season, Mary Kay Cabot, Ashley Bastock and Dan Labbe get you ready for a Browns game as they preview the Week 18 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals on the Orange and Brown Talk podcast. The game itself takes a backseat to the much bigger question looming over the franchise: Will Kevin Stefanski return as head coach next season? They try to read the tea leaves and discuss the vibe in Berea that suggests a change could be coming. They explore the different scenarios, including the possibility of promoting defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz to head coach to maintain continuity on the team's best unit and keep rising offensive coordinator Tommy Rees. Is the grass actually greener, or should the Browns stick with what they have despite two losing seasons? Plus, they talk about the one thing that matters on the field: Myles Garrett's chase for the sack record against a familiar foe in Joe Burrow. Lance Reisland joined the show for his final scouting report of the season, breaking down the Bengals' offense and defense and how the Browns can attack them. Lance also makes his pick. In this episode of The Burros of Berea, I sit down with Sarah Fisher, the mind and heart behind HebrewWordLessons.com, for one of the most thoughtful and refreshing conversations we have had in a long time. Sarah shares her personal faith journey, how a late-in-life awakening led her to the Hebrew language, and why studying Scripture through its original words transformed the way the Bible came alive for her. What began as a simple tool to help her learn vocabulary became a weekly ministry that pastors, teachers, and everyday Bible readers now rely on. Her humility, curiosity, and deep love for Jesus shine through every part of this discussion, and her insights into Hebrew words like hasatan, malak, ezer, and hesed challenge many assumptions we have carried for years. This conversation goes far beyond word studies. We talk honestly about balancing scholarship and faith, avoiding speculative theology without honoring historical context, and letting the Spirit guide our study instead of turning knowledge into a weapon. Sarah offers wisdom for anyone who feels intimidated by biblical languages, reminding us that not everyone is called to learn Hebrew, but everyone is called to approach Scripture with humility and love. If you care about understanding the Bible more deeply, respecting its ancient worldview, and growing closer to Christ without arrogance or fear, this episode is for you. It is thoughtful, grounded, and deeply encouraging, and I think it is one you will come back to more than once.If you'd like to check out Sarah's website you can click the link below!Hebrew Word Lessons Website: https://hebrewwordlessons.com/

Merry Christmas Burros of Berea listeners! This conversation with Nathan Ward is one of the most heartfelt and grounded testimonies ever shared on The Burros of Berea. What begins as a friendly introduction quickly unfolds into a deeply moving story centered on legacy, faith, and the quiet power of lived Christianity. Nathan's reflections on his grandmother Flora form the emotional backbone of the episode, illustrating how genuine love, sacrificial generosity, and faithfulness can shape generations long before theology ever becomes explicit. His story reminds us that the gospel is often transmitted not through arguments, but through consistent presence, hospitality, and courage in moments of real need. This is an interview filled with memory, grief, gratitude, and hope, told with sincerity rather than polish, which makes it resonate all the more deeply Nathan Ward Interview. As the conversation progresses, the episode naturally moves from testimony into theology, tracing Nathan's journey from inherited tradition through ministry, crisis, and ultimately into fulfilled eschatology. What makes this discussion compelling is its tone. Rather than triumphalism or bitterness, Nathan speaks with humility about being shaped by people who loved God even when their frameworks were incomplete. The dialogue models how theological growth does not have to come at the expense of love for the Church or gratitude for one's spiritual roots. Released on Christmas Day, the interview fittingly closes by reframing the season itself not as a debate over dates or traditions, but as a celebration of incarnation, presence, and giving. It is an episode that embodies the very message it proclaims: truth pursued through love, and faith expressed through lives well lived. I hope you enjoy this testimony as much as I did!If you'd like to see the video of this interview, pop on over to our Patreon page at: www.patreon.com/theburrosofbereaAnd as always, thanks for listening!

This story is inspired by Acts 17. Go to BibleinaYear.com and learn the Bible in a Year.Today's Bible verse is Acts 17:23 from the King James Version.Episode 233: Paul, Silas, and Timothy were teaching at a synagogue in Thessalonica. Crowds from all over gathered there to hear what they had to say and many came to a saving faith in Jesus. Yet some of the Jews were angered by this change and hired a mob to find Paul and kill him. When the mob couldn’t find Paul they brought out Jason instead and had him beaten. Meanwhile, the rest of the believers encouraged Paul, Silas, and Timothy to flee to Berea. There was peace for Silas and Timothy there, but Paul moved on to Athens where he would reason with God-fearing Greeks and be brought before the Areopagus.Hear the Bible come to life as Pastor Jack Graham leads you through the official BibleinaYear.com podcast.
