On December 20, 1994, a female's fully skeletonized remains were found in Sugarloaf Township, Pennsylvania during a mine reclamation project. The surveyor of the project noticed something on a steep embankment overlooking a water filled strip mine. He found a pelvic bone. This area of Sugarloaf Township is wooded and about two miles from the West Hazleton exit of Interstate 81. On January 8, 2014, contractors were working along a mid-central Mississippi creek in Sharkey County when they found a skull in a drainage canal. There were no other remains found with the skull. In January 2021, DNA results indicated that Sharkey County John Doe was a black male and he likely has relatives form Sharkey County or the surrounding areas. Carbon dating performed through the University of Arizona suggests the boy was born between 2000 and 2004 and likely died between 2007 and 2012. December 22, 1974: Remains were found near Cove Mountain chalet, below the tramway station at Gatlinburg Ski Lodge in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The remains were an unidentified adult female, estimated age range of 30-45. The remains were whole, but unable to be identified due to the level of decomposition. On October 25, 2022, a body was discovered in a wooded area adjacent to 58 Wick Street in the city of Buffalo, NY. The body was unrecognizable due to decomposition, and authorities are unsure how long the body was there before being found and could not determine an estimated year of death. Buffalo John Doe is described as a white adult male between the ages of 45 and 65 with slightly wavy light brown hair and an unknown eye color. He was 6 feet tall and weighed 269 lbs. All parts of his body were discovered, but he appeared to have an amputated index finger. He had a birthmark on his right flank, a monochromatic tattoo of a ying-yang symbol on his left wrist, and was wearing a navy blue hooded zippered sweatshirt, gray underwear, black jeans, and white and gray socks. Crystal Danley, a 43-year-old mother of three, was last seen in Modesto, California after she argued with a family member. On July 17, 1980, the skeletal remains of a female were found buried along a power line in a heavily wooded area in Eklutna, Alaska. She had been stabbed in the back. In 1984, a local baker named Robert Hansen, AKA “The Butcher Baker,” listed her among the 17 to 21 women he admitted to killing in and around Anchorage between 1971 to 1983. The victim had no identification and could not be matched to a missing persons report. Hansen said the woman might have said she or her family lived in Kodiak. Robert Hansen died in prison in 2014. Police believe Annie may have come to Alaska from Washington or California and may have been a runaway. Eklutna Annie is described as a white and possibly Native American female, aged 16-25, 4'11” - 5'3”, weight unknown and eye color unknown with long, light brown hair. There are no available dental records, fingerprints or DNA samples. She was wearing reddish-brown knee-high high-heeled vinyl boots with a nylon zipper on the side, a light colored sleeveless knit sweater, and a brown leather hip-length jacket. Annie was also wearing a wide copper bracelet with a stamped flora design and three turquoise stones, a turquoise and brown shell necklace with a heart pendant and twisted metal bead spacers, gold-plated metal hoop earrings, a white hell ring with a brown inset ring, a gold-plated chain-linked Timex watch with a brown face and white hands. They also found Salem matches in the pocket of her jacket. On November 9, 2002, Josh had attended a party in a dorm at Metten Court, located on the lower campus of St. John's, also known as Flynntown. Josh was seen passing by Seton Apartments and crossing Stumpf Lake to the intersection, then walking towards his apartment, but Josh never arrived at his dorm. When his friends called his apartment shortly after he left the party, there was no answer and they assumed he was asleep. Josh has never been seen again. Jaliek Rainwalker was just 12 years old when he disappeared from rural upstate NY on November 1, 2007. Though he was only 12 years old, Jaliek had lived in 7 foster family situations prior to his disappearance and all before his 13th birthday. At the time of his disappearance, Jaliek was living with his adoptive parents, Stephen Burrell Kerr and Jocelyn A. McDonald. He has never been seen again.
