The Brush Still Moves: Dennis Perrin's Energy Lives On Through His Son Produced by Nef“You already have the power. You just need to believe.” — Dennis PerrinDennis Perrin wasn't just a painter. He was a transformer of energy. The kind of artist who didn't just capture light—he channeled it. And that same creative current is alive and pulsing through the work of his son, Jonas Perrin—better known in music circles as Produced by Nef.In a heartfelt Purpose Chasers podcast episode, Dennis opened up about far more than paint strokes and palette knives. He invited us into a world where belief reshapes reality and energy is the raw material of both art and life. He spoke about The Perrin Method, a practice rooted in presence, intention, and expansion—an internal renaissance that's accessible to anyone who dares to believe in their own growth.A Legacy of More Than ArtDennis's method wasn't just about aesthetics—it was about alignment. He believed that our thoughts and energy could mold the future. That we each hold the brush to paint our own path.Today, that same philosophy rings loud through the beats and bars of Nef's work—an alchemy of rhythm and precision that mirrors his father's devotion to mastery. While Dennis brought color to canvas, Jonas brings texture to sound, weaving emotion and clarity into every project he touches.Whether you're staring at a finished painting or vibing to a mastered track, one thing's certain: you're experiencing a frequency of the Perrin lineage.

Kyle Perrin flies an imprint black sparrowhawk. He joins me this week to talk about his bird, his dogs, and his desire to pursue helmeted guinea fowl, catching them on the rise after a long, open slip. Kyle explains why he chose to fly a black spar, including how he manages his hawk to ensure she remains feather perfect.  He also gives us some insight into the main differences between the African goshawk and the black spar.  Guinea fowl can be flown all year round and Kyle talks about how he manages the timing of molt to cater to available mid-winter daylight hours. We then turn our attention to his preferred quarry - the guinea fowl - and a description of his hawking grounds, and the origin story of this particular black spar. Kyle explains the approach that his is going to take in an effort to achieve the hawking style he prefers, and he tells us about his approach to developing a well-adjusted short-wing.  We conclude the episode talking about Kyle's most recent outing, and his hawk's sudden change in heart when it comes to chasing "fur".  I hope you enjoy this episode.  Thanks for listening.

What do ancient manuscripts found in desert caves have to do with the Bible in your hands today? In this episode, Dr. Andrew Perrin—author of Lost Words and Forgotten Worlds—joins us to unpack the strange, surprising, and deeply relevant world of the Dead Sea Scrolls. We talk lost texts, wild apocalyptic imagination, messianic hopes before Jesus, and why these 2,000-year-old documents still matter for Christian faith, biblical interpretation, and how we read Scripture today. Dr. Andrew B. Perrin is a scholar of Second Temple Judaism and the Dead Sea Scrolls. His research explores ancient Jewish texts, biblical interpretation, and the transmission of Scripture. Dr. Perrin's research has included multiple graduate scholarships and grants from the SSHRC, the George A. Nous sommes en septembre 1932. PERRIN FERTHA and VEL SARTHA, two characters with tragic relationships. One built on the cultural tradition of an arranged marriage, the other built on rebellion and love. Perrin and Mon. Vel and Cinta. Two relationships broken, by the Rebellion in completely different ways.Perrin is a hedonist, whose characterization in Season 1 made him seem antagonistic and loveless towards Mon. During Season 2 that perception has shifted to something more nuanced, and thanks to revelations of a deleted scene, our impression of Perrin might be more complicated.Vel is a warrior, like Cinta. Both are committed to the cause and torn apart by it. A relationship strongly implied in Season 1 was finally sealed with a kiss in Season 2 with Lucasfilm finally deciding to "say gay". As soon as we had this lovers return, Cinta was taken from us by a stray blaster bolt from a foolish boy.Today we take a deep dive into these two characters and their arcs during Andor S2.
