Let me know what you think.I've spent forty episodes and nearly one solid year exploring and discussing the winding roads and pitfalls of what true alchemical healing of mind, body and spirit requires. And there was a lot to unpack in those forty episodes. But one of the most important parts of this type of deep, transformative healing is recognizing when you have reached a level or a deep understanding of where you were versus where you are now. And with that understanding, being willing and able to step back from what is often a relentless process that often takes you so far inward and get back into LIFE. Life without the constant backdrop of the transformation movement. Life without the need to process or run to a therapist for support or as a safety net. Because that life away from this movement is not only available and waiting for you, it is a necessary requirement if you have any chance whatsoever in fully integrating what you have learned and absorbed and move forward. If the ultimate goal for you is to dig deep within yourself and your psyche and uncover your true self and whatever that self requires for sustained growth and hopefully contentment, I think it's almost a mandate that eventually you have to move forward into that life without the apron strings of the transformational movement directing your every move and thought. Because if you don't allow that process to happen, you're not in a movement. You're in a cult. In this final episode of my podcast, I discuss when it's time to move forward, as well as what prevents one from doing that and what is required to effectively make that happen. If you are not aware of mind/body healing, in a nutshell its premise is that your thoughts, emotions, mental patterns and life traumas are where dis-ease begin. Furthermore, each organ in the body attracts and stores a specific energy so that when one experiences a specific emotion that resonates with that organ, the emotion is drawn to that organ and affects the health of that organ. And if that emotion becomes so consistently overwhelming, it can penetrate the organ to the point where dis-ease or dysfunction is established in that organ. I also know how that translates into a feeling of weakness and apprehension. But when you allow this weakened state of body, mind and spirit to keep percolating for years on end, it quickly morphs into more of a need to isolate and less resolve or motivation for what needs to happen in order for you to move forward on your healing path. Weakness will never be a strength and cultivating strength during alchemical healing is non-negotiable. What I mean by that is that when you agree to overhaul your entire life and re-evaluate and tear down what is not working any longer, you can't do that if you are weak in body, mind and spirit. Each of those must be strong, fortified and interconnected so that your body can rely on your mind and your connection to spirit is strong enough to get you through the times when you're not sure your body and mind will follow. Consciously focusing on strength also involves expecting more out of yourself and more out of the healers you work with. If you don't do that, you risk languishing for years and possibly decades in this airy-fairy cloud of weakness and non-action. There's a time for rest and there is a time for rebuilding and regeneration of the body, mind and spirit. It can take two years once you set forth with this intention, and even longer to see tangible progress if you've really been through the mill and had time to rest and sleep and do whatever you needed to withdraw from life and heal. But if you stay in that quiet reflective place too long, you stagnate, along with your body and mind. The longer you've been asleep to your own reality, the more shocking and resonating your ‘wake-up shocks' will be. It's the cosmic energy that grabs you by your shoulders and shakes you to your core. It's like no other shock you have ever experienced. And from my own experience, I think it's that powerful because it is not coming from your ego. It's coming from your soul. It's the personality you project into the world that covers up your true self. However, if your goal is to heal body/mind/spirit, the façade must dissolve. The façade is the personality projection you adopted and adapted to because either it was the only way to survive or because someone else kept telling you that you have to do it because nobody would “like” the real you or nobody would understand you. That's just two examples. There are a LOT of reasons for the façade being engaged in an individual. When I say that alchemical transformation is getting to meet yourself for the first time, that person you get to meet is the real essence of you behind the façade. It's the you without the trauma informing your personality.  It's the you without the fear of being judged by family, friends, partners, co-workers, etc. It's the you that doesn't care anymore whether you're liked or not. It's the you that finally fits inside your skin. The nervous system often becomes so dysregulated over one's lifetime and carries the trauma, the pain, the grief, the unspoken words, the unfelt rage and so much more that we dump into it when we are unhealed and asleep to our own dysfunctional way of being. Everyone who ventures onto the personal transformation path will, at one time or another, need to shake up the inertia that often develops during one's experience. It's very common to behave like a child, to waste your precious energy, to do the bare minimum that is required and become overly histrionic about your life. All these qualities prevent you from powering forward.
