From the beginning even while they're in their 50s and 60s, our kids call us because they need us in a different way.A lot of things get miss handled misunderstood and not given the priority. It needs to because a lot of people can't see things from my mom's point of view. This season I want to focus on parenting and coparenting and being a wife, or girlfriend to people who can't always see it from my mom's point of view. Being in this adulting life trying to maneuver through work, careers and traveling and wanting to be entrepreneurs, people who do not have kids cannot understand why you do what you do and how you do it from my mom's point of view. This season was created to build understanding and consideration for how Mom's show up in this world. Thank you so much for allowing me to provide another season of Cozy Womb podcast. This is a podcast that I started to give the real on parenting and I will continue to do so.Follow us on Chan & Pods channelSubscribe to the show on YT and on your podcast apphttps://www.bonfire.com/store/the-chanbepoddin-spot/TikTok: @chanbepoddinInstagram @TheczywmbpodcastX @theczywmbpod#parentinginabetterway #cozywomb #thekids https://www.youtube.com/@chanpods Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/cozy-womb/exclusive-contentAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

When Jesus began His Church, He did not intend for us to live out our calling in isolation from our fellow believers. He prayed that we would, as the Church, be united as one body. The Apostle Paul also reminded the believers in Corinth that they as part of the body of Christ, indeed functioned like a human body, with many necessary and integral parts, fit together by God Himself for the edification of the saints and the glory of God. This week we continue our conversation with Pastor Chris Legg of South Spring Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas about how he creatively and practically integrates apologetics into his ministry and how each one of us is an apologist, whether we are professionally trained in the field of apologetics or not. Also, Daniel shares his recent terrifying experience in the Grand Canyon. You don't want to miss this episode! Pastor Chris Legg, LPC, and his wife Ginger have been living out the parable of God's love for His people since 1993 and have been blessed with five great kids. He is the Lead Pastor at South Spring Baptist Church in Tyler, TX (https://www.southspring.org ) and is also the founding owner and clinical director of Alethia Family Counseling Center( https://www.alethiacounseling.com ), which offers training, counseling, speaking and business consulting in several locations in Texas. You are about to listen to a mega episode. Charged up and sans guest, we dive deep into a core facet of moviemaking and film-viewing: point of view—the power of films to invisibly place you behind the eyes, and inside the mind, of a specific character. Jumping off from two dynamite script pages, and pulling crucial info from our film studies education, we explore how subjectivity is essentially inescapable as soon as a camera angle is chosen. We also turn our attention to what “objectivity” could possibly mean in a cinematic context, what happens when multiple POV characters collide, and whether we may have found the most perfect pair of socks for a cold weather film set.Coens covered: Barton Fink, Touileries (from Paris, je t'aime), Fargo, A Serious Man, True Grit, Inside Llewyn Davis, Hail, Caesar!, The Gal Who Got Rattled (from Buster Scruggs)Plus: Frankenstein (2025), AmélieWant to join the study group? Apologetics might sometimes seem like an off-putting, snobbishly academic endeavor for those among us who are more prone to delight in arguing with nonbelievers. But what might apologetics done properly look like? And what does practical, everyday apologetics look like for believers of all backgrounds and life experiences? In 1 Peter 3:15, we are all called to "give a defense for the hope that is in us, with gentleness and reverence." In that spirit, we as Christians are all apologists. Apologetics is then relevant to our faith, to the church, and to the wider unbelieving culture. This week and next on Apologetics Profile, we'll be chatting with lead pastor of South Spring Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas Chris Legg about these very issues. Pastor Chris will share with us what everyday apologetics looks like in practice in their church, from Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, to daily life in general. Welcome back, Culture Changers! In this episode, I'm breaking down the runaway hit, "I've Had It" podcast, as part of a new series, Pod Phenom Playbook where I break down some of the top podcasts. If you've ever wondered why certain podcasts blow up and become cultural juggernauts seemingly overnight, this episode digs into the structure, psychology, and stickiness that make a show impossible to ignore.I break down how best friends Jennifer Welch and Angie “Pumps” Sullivan catapulted "I've Had It" to the top 0.01% of global podcasts with their unfiltered, outrageously funny, and profoundly political take on modern grievances. This review explains how their bold, often shocking language, political savvy, and unique in-group vernacular have created a loyal, outspoken fanbase. You'll learn about their meteoric rise, why their unapologetic progressive stance and visceral humor resonate in today's media landscape, and how their approach can empower everyday listeners to find their own voice and point of view.We discuss:Podcast Growth and Virality FactorsStructure and Psychology of Popular PodcastsOutrage, Humor, and Political CommentaryPoint of View vs. Playing It SafeIn-group Language and StickinessProfanity, Nicknames, and Emotional ReleaseEmpowerment Through Honest Cultural AnalysisTimestamps:00:00 Pod Phenom Playbook06:45 Creating In-Group Language08:37 Podcast Blending Politics and Community11:40 Nicknames, Insults, and Impact15:04 Media Overload and Frustration19:34 Protesting and the 3.5% Rule22:27 Understanding Divided Perspectives24:34 The Power of Perspective28:17 Breaking Status Quo TogetherRather watch on YouTube?Links & Resources Mentioned:I've Had It PodcastIHIP NewsKara Swisher podcast interview with Jennifer WelchRolling Stone coverageNew York Times feature on Jennifer WelchCulture Changers Podmail: culturechangerspodmail.com (submit your favorite pod shows for me to review)Want your podcast to be amazing? Have you ever heard someone say that making creative work is about having a “point of view”? It sounds right, but what does it mean and how do you find yours? I can't think of any creatives that have a more compelling sense of their “point of view” than my guests today. Author Mac Barnett and author-illustrator Jon Klassen have such a strong voice, and I have been longing to have them both on the show for such a long time!! This is an instant all-timer episode for me. These two legends from the picture book world just knocked it out of the park, and we have an incredible chat exploring how to find your point of view, the artist/audience relationship, storytelling, and so much more.
