“I've never seen this type of healing in the conventional healthcare system. Never. It's so profound and so fast and long lasting, and it's just absolutely mind blowing every time. Not always, though, isn't this effective for everybody, right? It's not a magic pill or a cure all or anything like that. But for the people that it does work for, they say that everything they tried didn't work, but this was it.  It brings me to my soul work, which is being able to be a bridge or a facilitator, to help somebody heal, and that is what lights me up.” ~Anna Desmarais BSN, RN, HWNC-BCAh Ha MomentsIntegrative Nurse Coaching can reconnect you to your “why.”  It's OK to shift the way you show up and practice as a Nurse, connecting back to your purpose can help you discover new ways to find joy and a renewed passion for your work.Anna's biggest Integrative Nurse Coach Academy Nurse Coach Certificate Program takeaway: hold space, listen deeply, use silence well, and ease up on the “fix it” reflex. It's not all private practice. Step into a powerful, soul-opening conversation with Paul Hutchison and Hada Vanessa on this heart centered episode of Intimate Conversations: Dark Night to Divine Light. Partners in life, love, and service, Paul and Vanessa share a devotion to healing humanity from the inside out through their work with the Child Liberation Foundation and Santuario retreats rooted in sacred medicine, embodiment, and truth. Paul opens up about his journey from extreme wealth and ego-driven success to a humbling reckoning through years of undercover work rescuing trafficked children. Witnessing the darkest expressions of unhealed humanity forced him to confront his own shadows and led him into deep psychedelic somatic healing that transformed how he lives, loves, and leads. Vanessa shares her path as an empath and mother, navigating disconnection, numbing, and the search for safety before sacred medicine brought her home to her body, presence, and love without armor. Together, they tell the extraordinary story of finding each other through inner alignment rather than fantasy, a reminder that love responds to frequency, not force. We explore what conscious partnership truly requires. Presence. Playfulness. The willingness to sit still together without distraction. Paul and Vanessa reveal how slowing down, feeling fully, and choosing devotion over performance creates intimacy that can withstand the darkest nights. We also talk about: -Transforming trauma without bypassing it -"Hell" as lack of awareness vs radical self responsibility -Psychedelic somatic healing and nervous system safety -Conscious partnership rooted in presence and devotion -Love as frequency rather than pursuit -Humor, joy, and play as spiritual practices -Healing the heart as a path to healing the world We had a good laugh that one of my 6 books is called Finding The One is BS, Becoming the One is Brilliant and Beautiful… they are walking emanations of this teaching! AND ironically, it's the key to finding the depth of love they share.  This episode is an invitation to stop outsourcing love, worth, and salvation to the outside world, and to go all the way in. It reminds us that intimacy begins within, that presence is the doorway to everything, and that healed hearts truly do heal the world. ➡️ Go check out patreon.com/allanapratt for Exclusive content! About Paul and Hada Vanessa:   Paul Hutchinson and Hada Vanessa Hutchinson are partners in life and purpose, united by a deep commitment to service, conscious partnership, and human healing. Paul is an executive producer of the film Sound of Freedom,  which helped bring global awareness to the realities of child exploitation. They are also founders of Santuario, a sanctuary dedicated to deep personal transformation through sacred plant medicines, experiential training, and holistic healing. What if grief is not something to get over, but something meant to open us? What if the pain you are carrying is not a sign of weakness, but a doorway into deeper love, truth, and healing? In this powerful episode of The Language of Love Conversation, I am joined by Bobbi Vogel, a psychic medium, clairvoyant healer, and soul guide, for a sacred conversation about grief, loss, and the unseen support surrounding us. We explore grief not as a problem to fix, but as medicine. An initiation that cracks us open so we can return to who we truly are. Bobbi shares what Spirit has been communicating about this moment in time, why so many souls are crossing over, how our loved ones continue to guide us, and why allowing grief, rather than bypassing it, is essential for both personal and collective healing. This episode includes live readings and deeply moving moments with grieving parents and loved ones, offering real-time insight into how connection continues beyond the physical body. Bobbi speaks candidly about spiritual bypassing, soul agreements, and why our loved ones on the other side are not who they were in human form, but wiser, expanded guides devoted to our healing. We explore:  Why grief is sacred medicine and how it opens us to healing The danger of spiritual bypassing and turning pain into purpose too soon How our loved ones continue to support us from the other side What souls do after they leave the body and how roles reverse Collective grief and why personal healing serves the whole How to ask your loved ones for help and guidance Twin souls, soul agreements, and unfinished business Why grief brings us back to earlier wounds and how to heal them If you are grieving the loss of a child, partner, parent, or loved one, or if you are carrying grief that goes beyond death, this conversation offers validation, compassion, and a reminder that you are not alone. Tobacco is one of the most powerful medicinal plants on Earth. But here's the problem: most people only know it through cigarettes — a dead product stripped of the heart and soul of the plant. Pure tobacco, on the other hand, is a master plant used for centuries in ceremony, healing, and protection.Modern science is finally catching up… showing nicotine's potential benefits for focus, memory, and even neuroprotection. But I'll be clear — I still prefer the plant itself.Like all powerful tools, tobacco must be used with intention and purpose. Used unconsciously, it destroys. Used consciously, it heals, protects, and teaches.⚡ Is tobacco medicine or poison? Send us a textWhat if true healing demands we explore beyond conventional wisdom? In this deeply personal conversation, John Borden shares his extraordinary journey from cocaine addiction to profound transformation through the therapeutic use of psilocybin mushrooms.John's story begins in a familiar place - trapped in cycles of control, substance abuse, and destructive patterns stemming from childhood bullying and deep-seated unworthiness. But when conventional paths failed him, an unexpected psychedelic experience cracked open his perception, revealing emotions and connections he'd suppressed for years. We explore the pivotal moment when John reconnected with his brother's inspiring recovery journey - something his pre-psilocybin self couldn't access emotionally. This emotional awakening led him to question everything about his life choices, eventually guiding him to leave corporate America behind and embrace his calling as a personal trainer and psychedelic integration coach. The conversation challenges our cultural tendency to judge recovery paths different from our own. John's perspective isn't presented as the only way, but as a powerful alternative worth considering. We discuss how his "mindset is your reality" philosophy transformed not just his substance use but his entire relationship with himself and others. From the man who couldn't feel to the ultramarathon runner who connects deeply with clients, his metamorphosis demonstrates how addressing root causes, rather than just symptoms, creates lasting change.Whether you're struggling with addiction, supporting someone who is, or simply curious about psychedelic medicine's therapeutic potential, this episode offers a judgment-free space to consider expanded possibilities for healing. What might be possible if we approached recovery with open hearts and minds? John's journey suggests the answer might be more beautiful than we imagine.Ready to challenge your assumptions about addiction and healing? "Nurses are so well suited for psychedelics, and we bring so many skill sets that other disciplines don't, and I don't think any one discipline has it all, but I think we bring a really important piece of the puzzle. And if you think about it, Nurses are with patients in non ordinary states of consciousness, sometimes every day.  If you're a hospice Nurse or working in labor and delivery, if you're in Psych, if you're working with patients, you know, coming in and out of anesthesia, patients with delirium. So many reasons why somebody could be an altered state or even just shock trauma. You know, emergency Nursing. And Nurses often are with patients for prolonged periods of time. Thank you for listening! Let me know what you think. In Part 3 of my Sacred Medicine series, I dive into two popular substances often used in transformational healing. Ayahuasca is a powerful psychedelic jungle vine found throughout the upper Amazon region of South America that many people are seeking out for relief from depression, addiction, anxiety and more. Ketamine is not a sacred plant medicine, but it is also sought after by those who suffer from treatment-resistant depression, pain, and anxiety. Both substances have the potential to heal but they can also be misused or overused. While I have not used either substance, I have spent the last thirteen months interviewing dozens of people from all walks of life who have used either Ayahuasca or Ketamine or both and provided a balanced point of view on their effects, their downsides and whether either one provided a lasting healing for them. DISCLAIMER: The information on today's show is for informational purposes only. I don't endorse either of these substances for anyone under the age of twenty-one or anyone who has a predisposition to schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychotic pathologies or any hardwired mental condition unless you are under the care of a highly qualified medical professional. The use of any sacred plant medicine is for those of you who are purposely engaged in transformative inner work and personal healing that is fueled with reverent intention as to the purpose of using these powerful medicines.  Ayahuasca is not available in its true form except in locations out of this country where it naturally grows and regenerates. Ketamine requires a prescription from a qualified physician or therapist where the dosage can be monitored and safely administered via an IV infusion. This show is not about the abuse of Ketamine for ANY purposes whatsoever and I strongly advise you do your due diligence before using Ketamine. The same goes for Ayahuasca. If you choose to use either substance, you do so at your own risk and the outcome and experience with the substance is solely YOUR responsibility. The use of these substances is not guaranteed to provide you with a useful spiritual experience nor will either cure any disease you seek to heal. If you choose to use Ayahuasca or Ketamine, I advise you to do so in a safe, monitored environment and with a qualified medical prJoin me on "X": https://twitter.com/LaurelDeweyJoin me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thealchemyofnaturalhealing/Email: laurel@thealchemyofnaturalhealing.com HERBS, SUPPLEMENTS AND MORE THAT I STRONGLY ENDORSE! Thank you for listening! Let me know what you think.Join me for Part 2 of my Sacred Medicine series. Today's show focuses on Cannabis and Psilocybin (magic mushrooms). For those of you who are doing deep transformational healing work, the subject of using plant substances that have the potential of bringing one into heart-centered awareness as well as greater understanding of one's internal and external world is bound to come up. Cannabis and psilocybin are often used in trauma therapy within a shamanic healing protocol and can be helpful to teach a person how to let go and release. But they can also be misused or leaned on too much. I'll discuss the advantages and disadvantages of these sacred plant medicines from my own personal experiences (including my former anti-cannabis stance) and my observations on who is likely to struggle the most with these powerful medicines.  SHOW DISCLAIMER: The information on today's show is for informational purposes only. I don't endorse either of these substances that I will discuss for anyone under the age of twenty-one or anyone who has a predisposition to schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychotic pathologies or any hardwired mental condition unless you are under the care of a highly qualified medical professional. This episode is NOT about the recreational or party use of either cannabis or psilocybin. In the context of this podcast, the use of any sacred plant medicine is for those of you who are consciously and purposely engaged in deeply transformative inner work and personal healing that is fueled with reverent intention as to the purpose of using these powerful medicines. Cannabis is still an illegal substance in some states under Federal law and certainly in many parts around the world. Psilocybin is also an illegal substance in many parts of the country and world. Today's show should not be construed as an endorsement for you to use either cannabis or psilocybin. Have we lost touch with our ancient roots of plant medicine? Author Michael Purvis joins Brad Szollose on Awakened Nation to discuss tribal medicine traditions like Ayahuasca (pronounced 'eye-ah-WAH-ska'), Cannabis a.k.a. GATUNLATE and Peyote, and how the modern world is slowly starting to embrace the trauma healing qualities of each. Michael shares his own journey of returning from war, suffering from PTSD, being homeless, and eventually discovering the tools of journaling and ancient plant medicine. This is an amazing episode of healing, and an authentic discussion on spirituality, purpose and healing. ABOUT MICHAEL PURVIS: Michael Purvis was born in San Francisco, California to Elizabeth FitzGerald and James Purvis and quickly moved to England forming his early school years. His family moved back to The United States by the time Michael reached the 3rd grade. As a kid growing up in San Rafael, California, he gravitated towards Dungeons and Dragons with friends, played music and was in the Boy Scouts. His first introduction to Native American Spirituality was as a Cub Scout Camp counselor at Camp Tamarancho in Fairfax, California. Conversing with a Medicine Man named John Iron Eagle, a Blackfoot Chief, Michael attended his first sweat lodge ceremony as a teenager. A combat veteran of The Persian Gulf War, Michael healed his PTSD through native plant medicine and spirituality. Presently, he is happily married to his wife Marina, while raising two step-children Michael and Sofia in Northern Colorado. This episode of the MAPS podcast takes us through the deeply moving and inspirational story of Justin Lapree, a veteran who nearly lost everything and then came through the otherside to help lead the charge on providing sacred medicinal care to our veterans and first responders. No single population has moved the needle in helping the world to understand how psychedelics can be used effective than our veterans. Justin's story will move you in ways that are both inspirational and frustrating when you learn how under served the veteran population really is.  Justin Lapree served in the Marine Corps from 2001 to 2005. His second deployment to Iraq in 2004 left him at the bottom of a dark abyss upon his return home, and the Middle East took something from him, that he wouldn't come to understand for years to come.  During his five years as an Austin Firefighter, he would witness a magnitude of traumatic events where lives were lost; mass shootings, the Austin serial bomber, consistent overdoses, and fatality collisions. While he had come so far since his failed suicide attempt in 2018, he noticed the darkness once more creeping in because of his job environment. In February 2022, he resigned from the Fire Department knowing he'd found a higher purpose and wanted to serve in another way. Thus, Heroic Path to Light was born. His vision was to create a non-profit that served the Veteran, First Responder and Gold/White star communities in hopes that their suffering could end by building community and utilizing sacred entheogenic ceremonies.  "As the Founder and President of Heroic Path to Light, I'm still on my journey, but want to meet you where you are, because I have seen firsthand that healing happens in community and together, we can get through anything."

“We now understand in the rapidly growing field of traumatology, those kinds of traumas can be more damaging to our nervous system regulation and the state of our brain than adverse childhood experiences.” - Dr. Lissa Rankin  Dr. Lissa Rankin didn't expect to go down a particular path when she left her promising career as an OBGYN in 2007. The plan was to focus on her own health and well-being during a two-year sabbatical, but she soon came face-to-face with people who were doing all the right things – eating well, yoga, and other popular wellness practices – yet they were some of the sickest people she had ever met. When she started asking them deep-rooted questions about their lives, her passion and purpose suddenly revealed itself. She realized what was holding people back from feeling better – developmental trauma. In today's episode, Dr. Michelle Robin invites Dr. Rankin to unpack the story behind what made her go around the globe to collect tools from the world's medicine bag (from experts, traditions, faith healers, spiritual healers, energy healers). She was on a quest to find out how these things could transform lives – especially for those who weren't aware they experienced developmental trauma growing up. She'll also share about her latest book release called Sacred Medicine, and why developmental trauma is such a danger to our nervous system and our brain health.  About Today's Guests:  Lissa Rankin, MD, is a mind-body medicine physician, author of seven books, founder of the Whole Health Medicine Institute, and mystic who researches radical remission, trauma-informed medicine, and spiritual healing. Her TEDx talks have been viewed over 5 million times, and she starred in two National Public Television specials – Heal Yourself: Mind Over Medicine and The Fear Cure. Lissa's interest in the link between loneliness and disease led her to spearhead her latest project. “ I believe things can be cured but I don't believe everything can be cured with your thoughts” Episode Summary: How is it that some people do everything right and stay sick, while others seem to do nothing extraordinary yet fully recover? How does faith healing work―or does it? What's behind the phenomenon of spontaneous remission―and is this something we can influence? Can we make ourselves miracle-prone? In 2007, Lissa Rankin left a promising career in medicine to tend to her own health and well-being.
