In this Midweek, Pastor Steve Perez discusses the characteristics of a church that God blesses, emphasizing the importance of unity, fellowship, and breaking bread together. He reflects on the early church's practices and how they maintained their relationships and community spirit after the day of Pentecost. The lesson highlights the need for personal connections and the significance of hospitality in building a strong church community. Pastor Steve Perez also emphasizes the importance of creating a home filled with love and joy, the significance of genuine fellowship among believers, and the need for vulnerability and connection within the community. He discusses how gladness and sincerity in our hearts can transform our relationships and how living out our faith authentically can impact those around us. Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives. Here are the promises we covered this week. Psalm 30:5 – God's Favor is on Me. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 – God Blesses a Thankful Heart. Hebrews 6:19 – Anchored in Every Storm. Romans 8:14 – The Holy Spirit Will Lead You. 2 Chronicles 16:9 - God Supports Those Who Trust in Him.
Today's Promise: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Can you really be thankful when life isn't going the way you planned? Scripture doesn't tell us to be thankful for every circumstance, but it does call us to be thankful in every circumstance. In today's episode, we explore how gratitude becomes an act of faith. When we choose thankfulness, we're acknowledging that God is still in control, even when life is difficult. Whether you're celebrating blessings or walking through a challenging season, this promise reminds you that God is working for your good and will never leave you. Join me as we learn how a thankful heart changes our perspective, deepens our trust, and points us back to the goodness of God. If today's promise encourages you, share this episode with a friend who could use the reminder that God is faithfully at work in every season.
In today's episode I will be praying over us, reading Psalm 67, and saying whatever the Holy Spirit prompts me to say after I read the scripture. This is day 67 of a series where I will be reading a Psalm everyday on here for 150 days. I challenge you to come to join me everyday as we use scripture to fight off the enemy and grow us in ways that we can't even imagine. Genesis 39 1 And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither. 2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. 3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand. 4 And Joseph found grace in his sight (in the sight of the Egyptian), and he served him: and he (the Egyptian) made him (Joseph) overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his (Joseph's) hand. 5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field. 6 And he (the Egyptian) left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.

When you become a blessing to others, you become part of God's work in their lives
Join us with Pastor Chad Benson's last sermon as lead Pastor of Lifegate Church as he concludes in our series "The Church that God Blesses" as we dive into Part 5: A Faithful Church.
As America marks its 250th birthday, Dr. Jim points us back to the timeless truth of Proverbs 14:34: “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” While there is much to thank God for in America's history, the need of the hour is not merely more patriotism or outward morality, but the kind of righteousness God actually blesses. In this episode, Dr. Jim explains the difference between self-dependent righteousness and God-dependent righteousness. Our own righteousness cannot please God, because it comes from the flesh and always falls short. But when believers walk by faith, depending on Christ for cleansing, victory, holiness, and obedience, God produces in them a supernatural righteousness that brings Him glory. Topics Discussed Dr. Jim begins by reflecting on America's 250th birthday and the blessings God has given throughout the nation's history. At the same time, he points honestly to the moral and spiritual decline that has brought reproach upon the country. From Proverbs 14:34, he explains that righteousness exalts a nation, while sin brings reproach to any people. But rather than speaking only about national morality, he turns the focus to the kind of righteousness that God truly blesses. The episode contrasts self-dependent righteousness with the righteousness that comes through faith in Christ. When believers try to live the Christian life in their own strength, they inevitably fall short and resort to hypocrisy. The flesh cannot produce what pleases God. True righteousness begins with faith. We must depend on Christ to understand His Word, pray, witness, live holy lives, receive cleansing, and walk in victory. This kind of righteousness is not human performance, but Christ's life being lived out through dependent obedience. Dr. Jim closes by challenging young people to be part of a righteous minority in their generation. It does not take a majority for God to work. A surrendered minority, walking with God and depending on Christ, can be used by Him to bring blessing and revival. Key Takeaways The righteousness God blesses is not rooted in human effort or self-dependence. Sin brings reproach to any people, including a nation blessed by God in the past. Self-dependent righteousness always falls short and often leads to hypocrisy. Faith is what pleases God, not religious performance done in the flesh. Christ enables believers to live the righteous life they could never produce on their own. God is glorified when His righteousness is seen through our dependent obedience. Revival comes as God's people return to Christ-enabled living. A surrendered minority can still make a spiritual difference in a nation. Young people can be part of the righteousness God uses to bring blessing in their generation. What if God's definition of blessing looks completely opposite from yours? Pastor Wayne reveals how Jesus flips worldly success on its head in the Beatitudes, showing that the blessed life begins with being "poor in spirit"—completely dependent on Christ rather than self-sufficient. Through surrender, mercy, and peacemaking, the Kingdom forms within us, transforming not just our hearts but our relationships. Even when the world resists Kingdom living, our reward remains secure in Christ's unshakeable Kingdom. Ready to discover true blessing through surrender? Don't miss this foundation-setting message that redefines everything!

God Blesses You in Your Obedience, but God Leaves You to the Consequences of Your Sin in Your Disobedience MESSAGE SUMMARY: Your relationship with God is only between you and God. God desires relationships with each of us, individually, even though you may have been fortunate enough to have a Godly mother, father, siblings, and/or a spouse. God has given us covenants upon which to build His relationship with you, as Paul tells us in Romans 8:34-35: “Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?". The people of the Old Testament found that living apart from God's covenant relationship brought disaster. God is a covenant God; He will bless you if you obey Him. If you disobey God, God leaves you to the consequences of your sins. TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, you know how difficult it is for me to be in silence before you. At times it feels almost impossible, given the demands, distractions, and noise all around me. I invite you to lead me to a quiet, silent place before you — to a place where I can hear you as Elijah did. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. What if God's blessing in your life was never meant to stop with you?In Week 3 of Find Your Place in God's Story, John Ciesniewski explores Genesis 12 and the calling of Abraham to show how God's mission has always been about reaching the world through His people. When God chose Abraham, it wasn't because he was the most impressive or deserving—it was because God was launching a rescue plan for the nations. Abraham was blessed for a purpose: to become a blessing. And through Jesus, that calling now belongs to us.This message invites you to rethink a self-centered view of faith and step into a bigger story—one where your life becomes a channel of God's grace to others. You'll discover: Why blessing in the Bible is always outward-facing How your everyday relationships are part of God's mission What it means to live as someone who is sent Key Scripture: Genesis 12:1–3; Galatians 3:7–9, 29; Revelation 22:1–5 Big Idea: We are heirs of God's mission through Abraham—blessed to be a blessing to the nations.
