Bringing over 16 years of jousting experience in live shows and equestrian displays- The Knights of Middle England and KOME Entertainment are a team of professional horsemen, jousters, stunt riders and actors who bring the much fabled sport of jousting full tilt into the 21st Century! They perform in numerous shows around the country and uniquely offer jousting tuition at their specially equipped jousting school. Based in the very heart of the Warwickshire countryside and in the shadows of the finest medieval castle in England, Warwick Castle; The Knights of Middle England provide a perfect setting for the UK's leading jousting school and jousting display team. "The Medieval era with its customs and traditions have been responsible for making the sport of jousting one of the finest and most colourful sports in our history. No where will one see such pageantry, competition and participation in the traditions of a colourful past. Remember these practiced customs and traditions are neither required nor enforced. They are, however, part of the elegance that makes a jousting tournament one of the most unusual equestrian sporting events ever witnessed." -Extract from The National Jousting Association

This week @jennasmeenk has the opportunity to interview World Champion Trick Rider, Haley (Ganzel) Proctor, from Collinsville, OK. Not only does she hold a World Title in her event, crowned in 2007, she was recently awarded the 2018 Top 5 Dress Act Of The Year. Additionally, Haley has competed in the 2016 North American Trick Riding Championships in Las Vegas, played a role and performed stunt work in the films Cowgirls and Angels, and Cowgirls and Angels 2: Dakota's Summer. Haley began trick riding at the age of 4 after begging her uncle, NFR Contract Act Shawn Brackett, to teach her the trade. A passion for trick riding and the performing lifestyle developed at a young age for Haley when she had the opportunity to travel with the Great American Wild West Show to some of the greatest rodeo venues in the country. She was blessed with the opportunity to work with legendary trick riders at a young age, where she was able to learn and hone her craft. Haley not only trick rides, but also roman rides and works her dancing horse “Crazy Cloud”, where she is proud to display her Cherokee heritage. Haley is always expanding her talents, and constantly keeps the crowd at the edge of their seats.

I know how it feels to have an amazing but hot, spooky and sensitive horse - I was just a struggling horse rider with big competition goals, a nervous horse, inconsistent rides and no strategy to help him relax. I had ridden for years, but I quickly learned a hard lesson: you can have all the riding lessons in the world...but unless you know how to COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR HORSE clearly, it's not possible to have the happy, consistent relationship you want with them that you (and they) deserve. So I set off on a mission to learn everything I could about horsemanship for performance horses in an effort to go full-time as a coach myself... In my search to master everything about horsemanship for performance horses, I was able to consistently train hot and sensitive horses to respond to pressure with relaxation - all within a short period of time. And everyone started asking how they could replicate the same results with their horses too. So, I put together a program to teach my signature methodology that has allowed me to teach a wide range of horses and people (including myself) how to feel confident in any environment and have consistent, fun rides. That is how "The Confident Equestrian Program" was born!" -Felicity ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
