No introduction needed. Im honored to have chuck naiser on for the 42nd episode of this project. Enjoy.
Another extremely well respected angler that has influenced the fishery in more ways than one, despite not believing so. Enjoy my conversation with Danny Neu.
Corey is a life long LLM local. Well liked and respected by most. After speaking to him for a while, I can understand why. Enjoy.
Today I sit down with someone who shares many of our same beliefs and introspective nature in terms of conservation and the longevity of the fishery. One of the things that sets him apart is the method of capture. George Brown is a STX local who's passion quickly became hunting underwater. Enjoy.
Today I sit down with a man who had to truly earn his keep. He decided on guiding as his end all be all, and did whatever it took to make it work. This is my conversation with Marcus Haralson
Today i sit down with Ryan Keaton, a veteran who through his sacrifices and passion for the outdoors, is one of the minds behind a rapidly growing CPR tournament that benefits the Green Beret Foundation
today i sit down with someone who has made a name for himself not only across the coast, but across the north and south america. His passion for the outdoors coupled with his ability to think outside the box and continue to pursue fish allow him to be a fantastic angler and guide. This is my conversation with Ben Paschal.
Excuse the hissing in the background for the second half of the episode. We recorded this in a silo with massive amounts of reverb and echo. Cleaned up the audio as much as i could, regardless, i think this is an amazing episode to learn about such a brutal fishery from someone who has damn near mastered it.
Chris fowler is a man who i think should be put forward in the space as an icon. I seldom say something like that, but chris' propensity to always be himself, and in a manner, injecting a new revitalized "fly fishing is for all walks of life" approach, is a surefire way to ensure the longevity of our passion and fishery.
Chris Coulter is the embodiment of what it means to truly overcome any obstacle with vigor. Despite his tremendous and prestigous success in such a difficult industry, Chris has completely kept his own personality. Making him one of the nicest and most honest people you could ever come across.
Today i sit down with Macala "Mac" Elliot, one of the fastest growing photographers in our fishery. Known now to produce stunning underwater images that capture the intrinsic beauty of a side seldom seen. I hope you enjoy our conversation.

Today i sit down with Taylor Winzeler to talk about the history of his company, aswell as the art and artists involved with Laguna Madre Clothing Co.
No words. I hope you truly enjoy my conversational deep dive into the freezes of 83 and 89, along side some other facts of texas history with Shannon Tompkins.
Today i sit down with the brain behind one of the most influential pieces of saltwater gear found on skiffs today. Honestly, i dont want to say much about it because im THAT excited for you to hear his story. This is my conversation with Kevin Shaw.
Today i sit down with an extremely underspoken person. Who has enough stories to rival mcgyver himself. I want to keep my caption short in order to make sure i spoil nothing. Enjoy my conversation with John Pilmer.
today i sit down with one of the coolest and most laid back personalities i have had the pleasure of fishing and speaking with. Part of an elite club of the Orvis Endorsed Guides. He is quite the guy to have on the back of the skiff. I hope you enjoy my conversation with Bryan Robinson.
Today i have a conversation with a author who eat sleeps and breathes anything waterfowl. Now while typically there arent many commonalities between fly fishing and waterfowling. There is one big thing we do have in common. The resource we share. I truly had an absoulte blast filming with and learning from rob. I hope you enjoy.
Skipper Ray. A name known by many of the people who live and fish in the lower laguna madre. I am truly honored to be able to spend time and record a conversation with someone like skipper ray. This conversation was up there in terms of history with others like Wade, Richard, and a Eric. I hope you enjoy this one.
Today i sit down with someone who has truly given their life to the passion of fly fishing for redfish. For the last 40 years, Billy Trimble has done nothing but dedicate himself to the fishery in the middle coast. He is an excellent example and advocate for our fishery, co founding Flatsworthy with another texas icon Chuck Naiser, Billy is someone who can appreciate all of the fishery for what it is worth. I hope you enjoy.
Stephen Ford is a name recognized by many of the top texas anglers in the sport. He is someone who is underspoken in his influence on the "front lines" but simoltaneously has left an impression in the lives of many people along the texan coast. I am super glad stephen was able to make this happen. I hope yall enjoy.
Today i sit down with someone who truly serves as the physical interconnectivity in the slowly virtualizing space we all have come to love. Jim Gebhart is someone who is truly "bringing sexy back" through his creation: On The Fly Magazine. OTFM prides itself in being marketed to wingshooters and fly fishermen alike, it truly serves as an excellent table piece that carries stories and true texas heritage.
Today i had the pleasure of sitting down with someone who is most likely going to be the future of texas fly casting. Austin is one of the most talented fly casters i have met, the only thing more impressive than his line speed is his true appreciation for some of the giants in the game before him. I really enjoyed spending time with austin for this podcast, the clip in question will be linked on my instagram.
Today i sit down with someone who let his passion for the sport take him through an alternative route. Vincent is someone who has passion for the fishery and science alone. He now works at the Harte research facility in corpus christi continuing his research to better our fishery in any way he can.
Today i sit down with someone who is carrying on a family legacy that has driven many anglers to and from the day of their lives. Cory Baumann is an amazing person and a legendary prop builder. He is the third in the generational lineage of true propeller building masters.
I want to apologize for my microphone not capturing full audio. Luckily Bill's microphone captured his voice perfectly. Aside from that hiccup, this was one of the most interesting conversations i have ever had with anyone over highly advanced fly rod techniques and methods. I hope you enjoy my conversation with FFF master instructor: Bill Gammel.
Today i share a conversation with one of the best minds that targets redifsh on fly in texas. Bill hagen is successful part time guide. I truly enjoyed this conversation, trying to picture what it was like to experience the LLM in a truly untouched fashion. I hope you enjoy my conversation with Wade Dunkin.
Today I have a conversation with one of the few names I will always be excited to fish with as time passes. Marcus is a practicing dentist out of harlingen texas, and despite leaving for half a decade to pursue his education, he came as quick as he left to come back and continue his passion in the lower laguna madre—a great friend of mine, and someone I use as motivation in my own studies. I hope you enjoy my conversation with Dr. Montalvo.
Today i sit down with a friend of mine from the middle texas coast. He made most of his way as a bowfishing guide for gar, and eventually moved towards fly fishing. He now is a part time guide when he is not shooting at competitions. I hope yall enjoy my conversation with Logan Crane.
Today i share a conversation with the first person to expose me to the lower laguna madre. I spent many days skipping school to spend on the bow of his boat, and would do it all over again. Someone I look up to still, and try to learn from constantly. This is my conversation with Tim Obrien.
Today i had the luxury of being able to share a conversation with one of the most conservation-friendly people to ever come out of the LLM, as of right now, Richard spends his days working hard to show people the beauty in nature, attempting to show the resource at its core. With a main objective of showing the masses why we need to care about our resource. What a conversation.
this episode is a short format continuation of my conversation with bud rowland. He wanted to have some of his trout discoveries read and recorded on the podcast, and I am honored to even simply have another chat with him on the record. Enjoy
today i had the pleasure of sitting down with one of the most amazing people to ever pick up a fly rod. His passion for the fishery and the sport was extremely apparent through his work as a television personality, and he ended up creating some amazing things for the community as a result of it. Bud has most likely imprinted on almost every single current fly angler that has come out of the LLM, in one way or another.
today i had the luxury of being able to sit down with one of the most well respected names to ever come out of the lower laguna madre. Captain eric glass is someone who has done it all, it takes a lifetime and a half to master the fishery we have, and he seems to have done just that. Eric is an amazing angler, a fantastic guide, a bright mind, and a stellar idol for many up coming guides and stewards of this fishery we call home.
larry is one of the most badass people that calls the LLM home. He has found an affinity for tarpon in a fishery that was once thought to not have them, and gotten damn close to mastering it. He is a great angler and a greater artist.
Today i speak with a good friend of mine, about the beginning of our fishing careers. The commonalities between our lucky situations. I found this episode unique due to the fact that ryan and I tend to have similar outlooks on the industry as well as life. My goal with this episode was to shine a light on our experiences aswell as illustrate the great person that ryan is, both on and off the water. And we brushed on a few other topics affecting our fly fishing environment.
For my first episode released, I wanted to record the life of one of my biggest influences in fishing. A great mentor and an even better friend, Rick Hartman. 25 years guiding on the LLM, Fly casting on the big stage, and animals with abnormally large appendages.
