Daniel Waterman, 22, died earlier this month after suffering injuries in a car crash in Flagler County, Florida last February. Florida Highway Patrol trooper say Waterman's girlfriend, Leigha Mumby, 24, became angry with Daniel after seeing that another woman had texted him and drove her SUV into a tree. Troopers said Daniel awoke from a coma and told them that Leigha intentionally caused the crash. Now Leigha Mumby faces charges for Daniel's death. Une star de la télé. D'où vient-elle ? D'Australie. Quoi ? On va la recevoir. Et de fait, elle est belle. La voix, rien de spécial. Mais son tube et sa notoriété là-bas, c'est énorme. On va vous trouver quelque chose à chanter. Rentrez à l'hôtel. Kylie ne le croit pas : faire 17.000 kilomètres pour découvrir des mecs qui l'ont oubliée. Et elle ignore que les trois gus vont plier la chanson en 40 minutes, certains disent même 20. Leur formule est, faut-il le répéter, rodée avec les nombreux interprètes de l'écurie. Mais ils attendent le dernier moment où Kylie se trouve à Londres pour lui faire interpréter le texte en studio, ligne après ligne, sans qu'elle puisse entendre le résultat en entier, avant de remonter dans l'avion. Les paroles de sa chanson apparemment légère Better the devil you know l'ont interpellé. Ce n'est pas une sucrerie adolescente, loin de là. Alors, pourquoi ne ferait-elle pas la partenaire idéale d'un duo où chantent l'amant et sa maîtresse qu'il a assassinée. On est très loin de son public, avec une telle démarche artistique, rare et culottée, vous en conviendrez. La chanson est devenue un hit d'autant plus inattendu qu'elle est restée dans les mémoires et les playlists de la génération Nirvana. Kylie Minogue réussit le pari impossible de gommer son image d'éternelle ado, de femme enfant dans laquelle la musique de ses producteurs l'avaient enfermée. Put Kanesa in the ocean and she's home… both in sport and in her professional world where she has her PhD in marine biology; so she is actually Dr. Kanesa… but don't call her that. =) She is host and producer of the award winning Voice of the Sea TV program which, through compelling storytelling and breathtaking visuals, highlights pressing issues such as climate change, pollution, and habitat loss, fostering a greater awareness of the challenges our oceans face. She is director at the Hawai‘i Sea Grant Center for Marine Science Education which is dedicated to building partnerships that enhance marine science education at all levels in order to encourage understanding of the environment and the role of humans in it. Kanesa has been inducted into the Hawaiian Waterman Hall of Fame, which is an incredibly well earned recognition for her incredible athletic and professional contributions and accomplishments in and on the ocean.
