Today we discuss Survivor's Quest. The Chiss have found the remains of Outbound Flight. The Skywalkers journey to the Unknown Regions to see its remains and are joined by the Chiss, a New Republic ambassador who isn't, and a species who owe their survival to Outbound Flight. But none of them are prepared for what they find within the wreckage of the ship.
Today we discuss Fool's Bargain, a novella prequel to Survivor's Quest. The Empire of the Hand has come to Kariek to capure the Warlord, but some of the soldiers wonder why they are trying to capture him and not just destroy the fortress he's hiding in.
We jump back in time and discuss Outboud Flight. Jorus C'baoth is determined to get Outbound Flight off the ground, while Palpatine plans to destroy it and all the Jedi on board. In the Unknown Regions, Jorj Car'das comes into contact with an unknown species, the Chiss. The group he meets is led by a young commander named Thrawn. And for some reason, Obi-Wan and Anakin are in this book for the first two-thirds of it.
Today we start discussing Tales from the Empire with First Contact. Talon Karrde is investigating a safari on Varonat. The safari is run by Gamgalon, a Krish who Karrde knows is up to something. While there, he meets a young hyperdrive mechanic with red hair who instantly makes an impression on him.
Today we finish the Junior Jedi Knights series with Kenobi's Blade. Uldir just wants to be a Jedi but the Jedi Academy isn't working for him. Getting desperate, he makes a choice that leads him down a dark path. Anakin, Tahiri, Tionne, Ikrit, and R2 go after their friend, hoping to save him before it's too late.

Today we discuss Vader's Fortress, the fifth book in the Junior Jedi Knights series. Tionne returns to the Academy with news that she has learned the location of Obi-Wan Kenobi's lightsaber. It's at Vader's Castle, so she, Anakin, Tahiri, Uldir, Ikrit, and R2 embark on a quest to recover the lost artifact, but meet a new villain who tempts one of them.
Today we discuss The Last One Standing: The Tale of Boba Fett. This story shows us Boba Fett at several different points in his life: it sees him as a young man before his exile, chasing Han Solo during The Empire Strikes Back, his time at Jabba's Palace during Return of the Jedi, and a much older bounty hunter chasing Kardue'Sai'Malloc and then an older Han Solo.
Today we discuss Anakin's Quest, the fourth book in the Junior Jedi Knights series. Anakin is having doubts about whether or not he should be a Jedi. After talking with his Uncle Luke, he decides he wants to go to Dagobah and visit the cave. He and Tahiri have also made a new friend, Uldir, who wants to be a Jedi. There's just one problem: he doesn't seem to be force-sensitive.
Today we discuss Of Possible Futures: The Tale of Zuckuss and 4-LOM. Zuckuss and 4-LOM are after Han Solo. Unlike the other bounty hunters, rather than chase their query, they decide to head for the Rebellion's rendezvous point and capture him there. In order to be accepted by the Rebellion, they rescue some Rebel survivor's from the Battle of Hoth.
Today we discuss Promises, the third book in the Junior Jedi Knights series. The time has come for Tahiri to return to Tatooine and choose whether or not she will continue at the Jedi Academy. She will also learn what happened to her parents, and what dark secret Sliven, the Tusken who raised her, has.
Today we discuss The Prize Pelt: The Tale of Bossk, the next short story in Tales of the Bounty Hunters. Bossk is in pursuit of Chewbacca and Han Solo. Two other bounty hunters approach him with a lead, but Tinian and Chenlambec are not who they appear to be. Bossk decides to work with them, if only to be able to get Chenlambec's pelt.
Today we discuss Lyric's World, the second book in the Junior Jedi Knights series. Anakin and Tahiri have made a new friend, Lyric. She's seen the symbols from the Palace of the Woolanders at her home on Yavin 8. The three journey there so Lyric can undergo Changing, while Anakin and Tahiri hope to unravel the mystery of the Golden Globe.
Today we discuss Payback: The Tale of Dengar, the next short story in Tales of the Bounty Hunters. It tells the story of how Dengar ended up on Han Solo's trail, how he ended up on the bridge of the super star destroyer, and how he met Manaroo. The Bounty Hunters War trilogy, which started coming out in 1998, has several contradictions with this story.

She's from Tatooine and has had dreams of Yavin IV, but now that they've met, Anakin is showing up in her dreams too. Soon, Anakin is having the same dream, and it leads them both on an adventure.
In this special spooky episode, we discuss the third Galaxy of Fear book, Planet Plague. Tash, Zak, Hoole, and DV-9 are in their new ship when Zak gets sick. Hoole decides to take him to an Imperial infirmary where a friend of his works to help his nephew get better.

One of the guards strikes up a conversation with Boba Fett. He tells the legendary bounty hunter a story about the time his sister Shaara fell into the pit and survived.
Today we discuss The Mandalorian Armor, the first book in The Bounty Hunter Wars trilogy. Boba Fett has been saved by Dengar. Now they're going to team up on a job with the mysterious Neelah. In the past, Prince Xizor manipulates Boba Fett to destroy the Bounty Hunters Guild.

Today we discuss the Shadows of the Empire comic. In public, Prince Xizor is the head of a powerful shipping company, but in private he is in charge of Black Sun, a vast criminal empire. He is the third most powerful being in the known galaxy, behind only Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader. Xizor hates Vader and looks for ways to undermine him. When he learns of Vader's interest in Luke Skywalker, he decides to kill the Rebel to make his rival look bad. Luke, Leia, Lando, and Chewbacca are trying to rescue Han after the events at Cloud City. Boba Fett still hasn't made his way to Jabba's Palace and they are trying to intercept Slave I before he gets there. To help them, they've hired a hotshot pilot named Dash Rendar.

Today we discuss Tongue-tied: Bubo's Tale, the story of Bubo, the frog-dog we see a number of times in Return of the Jedi, who has been in the background of a few stories in this collection. In particular, he really hates Ree-Yees. He's also friends with the B'omarr Monks.
Today, we discuss the entirety of the Han Solo Trilogy. We'll talk at length about The Paradise Snare, The Hutt Gambit, and Rebel Dawn. The trilogy tells Han Solo's story, from his time as a young man right up to the beginning of A New Hope. We see what he did before he joined the Imperial Academy, his time as a smuggler, and even how he crossed paths with the Rebellion in its early days. We also meet the first love of his life, Bria Tharen, who becomes one of the Rebellion's earliest heroes.
Today we discuss A Free Quarren in the Palace: Tessek's Tale. It tells the story of the Quarren Tessek, who has appeared in several of the stories throughout this collection. Like many other characters at Jabba's Palace, he dreams of and plots Jabba's death. He actually has a plan to kill the Hutt that will take place the next day. There's just one problem: a certain Jedi shows up and disrupts things.

A Bad Feeling tells the story of everyone's favorite torture droid from Return of the Jedi, EV-9D9. The issue of the Bothan sabotage of the Caamas shield generators is threatening to tear the Republic apart. Pellaeon is still waiting for Bel Iblis to talk peace, while Han and Leia are taking a much needed vacation at Pakrik Major. And through it all, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker is not to be found: he's left the known galaxy and is off to save his friend, Mara Jade.
Today we discuss The Great God Quay: The Tale of Barada and the Weequays. The story follows two groups of people. First, Barada, who is in charge of keeping Jabba's Sail Barge running. Second, the Weequay who worship a god known as Quay. They even have a small sphere that represents Quay to them.
Today we discuss Specter of the Past, the first book in the Hand of Thrawn Duology. The Empire is on its last legs. If not for infighting in the New Republic it would be destroyed by now. Admiral Pellaeon knows this and has made what could be the most difficult decision of his career. But Moff Disra has his own plans for the Empire. Leia has taken a temporary step back from being the Chief of State of the New Republic and is on a well-deserved vacation, and Han is determined to make sure she enjoys it.
