In the interrogation, the operative Khabarakh identified her as Lord Vader's heir. Leaning on his people's reverence for Vader, Leia offered Khabarakh his freedom in exchange for an embassy on his home planet.Leia, Chewbacca and C-3PO go to Endor in the Millenium Falcon. They transfer to Khabarakh's ship and he takes them to the devastated world of Honoghr. They try to avoid Imperial detection but Khabarakh's ship is confiscated. After analysis reveals Wookiee hair throughout the ship, Khabarakh is taken into Imperial custody for treason, then left in the capital of Nystao. The Imperial Grand Admiral mysteriously disappears, so Leia plans to break into Nystao and escape with Khabarakh.During her stay, the Khim'bar Maitrakh shares the history of the Noghri people and how they came to be in the service of the Empire after a calamitous space battle wreaks planet-wide ecological collapse. Chewbacca's estimations of the decontamination effort place the disaster at the height of the Galactic Civil War, and Leia feels guilt at the untold collateral damage caused by their struggle against the Empire.## Chapter 24 ##Leia is more-or-less prepared to steal Khabarakh out of Nystao. Leia is too busy to heed C-3PO's concerns over an unusually curious decon droid. The Maitrakh tells of when her fisrtsons were conscripted by the Empire, revealing that Khabarakh is not her third-born son, but her great-grandson; meaning the calamity happened during the Clone Wars almost half a century before! Indignant, Leia is determined to bring it directly before the Dynasts. She orders Chewbacca to test the khlom-grass. The Maitrakh leaves herself to send word ahead. They leave the village by speeder under the cover of night. A large congregation follws them from each village they pass. They are brought to the Grand Dukha. Dynast Vor'corkh is defiant to allow an alien interfering with their politics. Leia calls her lightsaber forth with the Force to demonstrate her authority as the mal'ary'ush. Dynast Ir'khaim and a supermajority of dissenters call to hear Leia's proclamations.Leia holds up the analysis of the supposed khlom-grass to show that they are genetic forgeries created by the Empire and that the decontamination effort a ruse.An overly-curious decon droid is skulking behind the Grand Dukha. Leia orders its capture in exchange for proof. The droid is no match for the Noghri hunters. She opens the droid to reveal an espionage droid and a tube of decon fluid. With one drop, the plant shrivels up, demonstrating the true function of the decon droids.Vindicated, the Dynasts agree to a cover story of Khabarakh's escape. Leia promises to return with more herbicide for the imitation khlom-grass. To save precious time season's end, Leia decides to return straight for Coruscant, intending to leave the Falcon in orbit around Endor. ## Join Us ##Discuss with us on Discord or YouTubeSupport us on PatreonOur WebsiteSupport the show

Chapter 18 of Star Wars: Dark Force Rising (1992) (EU: 9 ABY) by Timothy Zahn. The Story So FarDuring the war, debris from a space battle over Honoghr fell to the planet's surface, causing runaway ecological disasters. Darth Vader came to the Noghri people offering aid, gaining their trust and servitude. During the height of the Galactic Civil War, he passed off their service to Grand Admiral Thrawn, who now uses them to hunt for Leia Organa Solo. Now in the War's twilight, tensions between the Empire and New Republic grow as warships become in short supply. Several factions have claimed to rediscover the Katana Fleet. Han Solo and Lando Calrissian have met with a rogue Corellian group lead by Garm Bel Iblis. They are in possession of six of the Katana dreadnaughts, and Sena gives divulges the contact that supplied their group with their six Katana dreadnaughts. Han and Lando are following that lead to Pantolomin. Ferrier was captured by the Imperials and charged with finding the Corellian's dreadnaughts, later updated to pursue Han and Lando directly.A month earlier on Kashyyyk, Leia's pedigree was discovered by Khabarakh, and they arrange for Leia to undertake a solo embassy with his people on his homeworld. Leia leaves the Millennium Falcon in orbit around Endor to receive passage to Honoghr. While Leia remains hidden, Khabarakh's return is met with suspicion. Wookiee hair is found all through his ship, so he is placed under arrest. With the discovery of the Falcon over Endor, Thrawn leaves Honoghr to investigate.Chapter 18Looking over the Honoghr grasslands, Chewbacca gives his estimate that it has been eight years since the ecologically disastrous starship crash; the height of the Galactic Civil War. The recovery of Honoghr's arable land seems to always stay outpaced by Noghri population recovery. With the Grand Admiral's sudden vacation from Honoghr, Leia and Chewbacca plan to abscond. The complication remains that with Khabarakh held for public humiliation, a blade hangs over the heads of Clan Khim'bar and the Noghri people. Leia is scarred by guilt for the destruction of Alderaan and declares that she shall not let her actions come to harm the Noghri people. The Maitrakh's growing coldness thaws, and she agrees to accompany Leia in her escape to assist in liberating Khabarakh. Leia knows that should they fail, she alone would be captured alive.During their return to New Cov, Han and Lando make contact with Winter. She passes on an unencrypted message signed as “Luke” to meet planet-sdie on New Cov. The message, however, was left by Niles Ferrier. They barely disembark before they enter into a tense negotiation with the ship-thief; Ferrier offers to pool resources and intel to find The Dark Force, and he accidentally lets slip the name of the Imperial Grand Admiral. Lando believes Ferrier to be suspect and cuts the meeting. As they leave, Lando is proven right, finding a tracking device secured to their hull. On the ground, Ferrier confirms with his Wraith companion that a second beacon was placed somewhere it would not be found.Links, Share, and SupportDocumentation for this chapterCross platform link for this chapterDiscuss this chapter on Discord or YouTubeSupport us on PatreonOur WebsiteSupport the show
Chapter 12 of Star Wars: Dark Force Rising (1992) (EU: 9 ABY) by Timothy Zahn. The Story So FarLeia Organa Solo has been targeted by the Empire for abduction. She and Chewbacca thwart an abduction attempt on Kashyyyk, capturing Noghri operative Khabarakh. In the subsequent interrogation, Khabarakh tells of how Lord Vader brought hope to the Noghri people, whose world became collateral damage after a ferocious space battle. Leaning on that reverence, Leia negotiates an embassy to Honoghr. However, when they arrive, they find Imperial presence coercing the importance of their mission to capture Leia. They touchdown in Clan Kihm'bar, but the irregularity draws Imperial interest. Quick thinking and honour-bound by Khabarakh's oath of protection, Leia and Chewbacca are hidden away in the village as Thrawn inspects the late-returning operative. Chapter 12Leia wakes up on Honoghr. Directed to the Dukha by some Noghri children. She learns from clan Kihm'bar's Maitrakh more of the Noghri, their history, and their indentured servitude with the Empire. The Maitrakh implores Leia to leave until such time that the Noghri would not be trading one over-clan for another. Leia agrees, but as she does, they are alerted to an approaching Imperial ship.Links, Share, and SupportDocumentation for this chapterCross platform link for this chapterDiscuss this chapter on Discord, YouTube, or RedditSupport us on PatreonOur WebsiteSupport the Show.
Chapter 10 of Star Wars: Dark Force Rising (1992) (EU: 9 ABY) by Timothy Zahn. The Story So FarGrand Admiral Thrawn has tasked the Noghri with the capture of Leia Organa Solo and her unborn twins. After many failed attempts, Thrawn travels to the Noghri homeworld of Honoghr to impress the importance of their success. Leia and Chewbacca capture a Noghri operative on Kashyyyk. During the interrogation, the operative Khabarakh identifies Leia by scent as the Mal'ary'ush — heir to the revered Lord Vader. In exchange for a solo embassy to the Noghri homeworld, Leia allows Khabarakh to leave and meet in one month's time over the Forest Moon of Endor.Leia, C-3PO, and Chewbacca arrive a day early, and when the Falcon passes through the point where the Emperor died aboard the Second Death Star, Leia experiences an overwhelming wave of dark side energy.Khabarakh arrives as promised. They transfer to Khabarakh's ship and take the four-day trip to the Noghri homeworld: a planet that looks all but dead. They are surprised to see an Imperial Star Destroyer above the capital and divert their course to Khabarakh's clan village -- which doesn't go unnoticed and Thrawn directs Imperial scrutiny to the Kihm'bar village.Chapter 10Khabarakh's ship lands at the Kihm'bar village. Leia, Chewbacca, and C-3PO stay on the ship while (in accordance with Noghri law) Khabarakh announces the arrival of the outsiders to the clan maitrakh. Chewbacca disappears into the ship to sabotage the electronics to obfuscate their presence, leaving Leia to anxiously wait until Khabarakh's return.Without Chewbacca, they hurry through to an inauspicious meeting with the maitrakh. Despite obvious tensions, the Kihm'bar clan will honour Khabarakh's promise of refuge and diplomacy, obscuring their presence deeper in the village. The Imperials arrive to extract an explanation from Khabarakh for his month-long absence after the failure of Commando Team Twenty-Two on Kashyyyk. The sabotage to Khabarakh's ship is undetected and the ship is taken with the Imperials back to Nystao for repairs. Thrawn suspects there is more to be learned about Khabarakh's reclusion, but that is all secondary to the capture of Organa Solo.Links, Share, and SupportDocumentation for this chapterCross platform link for this chapterDiscuss this chapter on Discord, YouTube, or RedditSupport us on PatreonOur WebsiteSupport the Show.
Chapter 9 of Star Wars: Dark Force Rising (1992) (EU: 9 ABY) by Timothy Zahn. The Story So FarLeia Organa Solo has been pursued on numerous worlds by aliens unknown to the New Republic, intent on her abduction. In exchange for Organa Solo and her unborn twins, Grand Admiral Thrawn has negotiated an alliances with Dark Jedi clone Joruus C'Baoth. After many failed attempts, Thrawn wishes to impress upon the Noghri the gravity of the situation.Seeking shelter with the Wookiees on Kashyyyk, Leia and Chewbacca capture a Noghri operative. During the interrogation, the operative Khabarakh identifies Leia by scent as the *Mal'ary'ush* — heir to the revered Lord Vader. In exchange for a solo embassy to the Noghri homeworld, Leia allows Khabarakh to leave and meet in one month's time over the Forest Moon of Endor.Leia, C-3PO, and Chewbacca arrive a day early, and when the *Falcon* passes through the point where the Emperor died aboard the Second Death Star, Leia experiences an overwhelming wave of dark side energy.Chapter 9While initially wary, Khabarakh accepts Leia, C-3PO, and Chewbacca board his ship after understanding that Chewbacca has given a life debt to Leia; like Wookiees, Noghri culture holds honour in high regard.During the four-day flight, Khabarakh mostly isolates himself in the cockpit, giving Leia little to prepare for her embassy and an ambivalent impression that told her their arrival to Honoghr was unannounced. They arrive over Honoghr; a world covered in greys and browns, a decidedly sickly looking planet — and over it the distinctive arrow-head of an Imperial Star Destroyer. Chewbacca rushes to the cockpit, slamming on the door; Khabarakh opens the door to reassure them of his trust, but Chewbacca can only be stopped by a stun trap. Khabarakh signals the all-clear, citing his delay to equipment malfunction, and decides to take them to his home, away from the visiting Imperials. At the Capital of Nystao, as the Imperials are being received in a traditional welcoming ceremony by the many Clan Dynasts. Captain Pellaeon is passed a report from lieutenant Tschel about the incoming ship. Thrawn halts the ceremony to travel to Clan Kihm'bar, wanting to receive the returning operative from the failed abduction on Kashyyyk.Links, Share, and SupportDocumentation for this chapterCross platform link for this chapterDiscuss this chapter on Discord, YouTube, or RedditSupport us on PatreonOur WebsiteSupport the Show.

Chapter 3 of Star Wars: Dark Force Rising (1992) (EU: 9 ABY) by Timothy Zahn. The Story So FarThe New Republic is beleaguered by numerous Imperial hit-and-fade operations. To fulfil the needs of the victimised member worlds, New Republic warships have been pressed into relief shipping. With many vulnerable capital ships funnelled through Sluis Van, the Imperial Remnants used mole miners stolen from Lando Calrissian's enterprise to assault the shipyard in an attempt to hijack warships.Leia Organa Solo has been evading abduction from a mysterious alien task force. Leia and Chewbacca go to ground on Kashyyyk, where another incident occurs. Together with the Wookiees, she neutralises the threat, capturing the Noghri operative Khabarakh, but not before Chewbacca 's childhood friend Salporin is killed.During the subsequent interrogation, Khabarakh identifies Leia as daughter-and-heir to the revered Lord Vader. Leaning on that reverence, she offers a one-on-one meeting as a show of good faith from the New Republic towards the Noghri people. She returns to Coruscant in the interim to prepare for her meeting in one-month's time over the forest Moon of Endor.Meanwhile, from a chance sighting while on Myrkr, Han Solo and Lando are informed by an unforthcoming Talon Karrde of the recent Imperial reformation under a non-human Grand Admiral after he declines to supply the New Republic with logistical support. Han and Lando arrive with Luke Skywalker at Sluis Van in time for Lando's override codes to foil the Imperial assault. They are alerted to a political emergency on Coruscant and Han leaves ahead of Luke and Lando.Chapter 3Admiral Ackbar is under house arrest on suspicions of treason. On the day of the attack on Sluis Van, money had been transferred into his account on the crossroads planner of Palanhi — known for its fence-sitting during the Galactic Civil War. Han arrives back to Coruscant and is quickly shepherded by Leia to a special hearing of the New Republic Council. Mon Mothma presides as Han recounts his experience over Sluis Van. During Fey'lya's allegations against Ackbar, Han blurts out his uncorroborated discovery that the Imperials are being led by a Grand Admiral. The council suspends further inquiry to investigate this new claim and continue with Han's Sluissi testimony.Han, Leia, and Chewbacca visit Ackbar. Ackbar doubts that the old Imperial files will contain useful information; the position of Grand Admiral was one of Emperor Palpatine's efforts to exercise direct control over both military and political spheres.Since landing, Han senses unease in Chewbacca, but Leia is not yet ready to speak about their time on Kashyyyk. Star Wars Timeline & Watch Order in 60 Seconds Full Episode: https://mostlysuperheroes.com/season-5-blogcast/star-wars-timeline-amp-watch-order-may-the-4th-2024 There are 220+ titles in the Star Wars Canon that include: 110 books, 79 comics, 12 games, 12 tv series, and 12 movies (plus Galaxy's Edge and honorable non-canon mention the Star Wars Holiday Special!) This podcast episode of Mostly Superheroes is a resource to provide a guideline for watching / reading Star Wars titles in the timeline order according to Star Wars canon. The term ‘Star Wars canon' refers to the collection of Star Wars media considered officially canon by Lucasfilm. We quickly reveal all canonical titles in this podcast episode and explain where those titles fall in the greater Star Wars story being told from the beginning of time to the very end. From week to week, from planet after planet, one thing has remained true about our journey through the Old Republic: Zaalbar has kept his lips sealed. Sure, he'll make you a grenade. But ask him about what he knows about a place or how he's feeling or, god forbid, what his home is like? Complete. Brick. Wall. Well that ends today, because we've landed on a little world called Kashyyyk. Time to find out if the saying is true: A Wookie can never really go home again. Next time: We head to the sea planet of Manaan. Make sure to take care of any non-Korriban multi-planet sidequests before you get the star map! In Star Wars Revenge of the Sith, Jedi Master Ki-Adi Mundi expresses his great concern about the Droid attack on the Wookies...WHY? What's the big deal about the fight? What would it have done to the galaxy if the droid attack went in the favour of the separatists? What if the Clones never took over in the end after Order 66? What if Anakin went to Kashyyyk? What if Mace Windu stayed? Would the outcome have been any different for the Wookies with Order 66?? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
What if Ki-Adi Mundi didn't bring up the droid attack on the Wookies? What if Yoda stayed at the Jedi Temple? Anakin would have gone to Yoda, not Mace, and then the REAL fight would have gone down with Mace Windu, Yoda, Anakin, Palpatine, Kit Fisto, Agen and Saeseeeeeee. Learn more about your ad choices. Gungi summons his green lightsaber with the force and deflects the blasts from the droids, and they get out of there with their ship. They talk to Gungi on the ship and decide to take him to his people, the Wookies from the planet Kashyyyk. The concern is if the Empire has taken over the planet, which they have. As they approach the planet, Hunter announces that the planet is releasing a lot of smoke, meaning the empire has definitely arrived and blown the place up. Now for those who remember, Kashyyyk has a long history, it's a jungle planet, very nature oriented and natural. Gungi's saber hilt is wooden. The planet is like Jumanji basically. Now Gungi has no memory of Kashyyy as younglings are taken to be Jedi at infantile stages of their life. We got to experience Kashyyyk in fallen order, but before that in the game force unleashed, where we star the game off playing as Vader as he fights the Wookies and then meets baby Galen Marek. As they walk through the forest, Gungi and the batch meet some giant spiders which are like the ones we fight in the KOTOR game, as he uses either beast control like anakin did agasint the reek in episode 2 in the genosian arena, or just communicated with it by not being violent, causing them to step aside for safe passage. They find a wookie being held hostage as Trandoshans ride imperial tanks from the clone wars and put the surrounding trees on fire. So it's evident the empire wanted Kashyyyk and they decided who better to work with than the trandoshans who passionately hate the fur balls. Gungi saves the day by igniting his lightsaber and it's a fun scene much like the clone wars. Much destruction has become of beautiful Kashyyyk. Trandoshans have enslaved Wookies forever, and they two races absolutely hate each other. Bossk and Black Krrsantan have fought each other close to death many times, and it was something I was hoping to see in the book of boba fett show. Maybe one day… They are met by some Wookie tribesmen and taken to the Elder of the village, who accomodates them with food and drink. As Trandoshans and Clonetroopers of the Empire come across the saber slash marks from Gungi's lightsaber, they vow to kill the Jedi, and are now coming for him and the Bad Batch. Tech and the Elder discover this convoy headed their way, when the Bad Batch decide to stay and fight, as the Wookies have been a massive ally to the republic during the war, and helped fight alongside them. They speak to the trees spiritually and get ready for war. A massive epic battle ensues and Gungi proves his worth as a Jedi as he goes up against the leader Trandoshan, who gets picked apart by the spiders, caught in their web and lifted up into the trees to be probably eaten. Now i will mention that Trandoshans use fire to obviously burn trees and the forest, but also this reminded me of how Boba beat Chewbacca in a fight once in the canon comics by putting his fur on fire. Wookies are notoriously physically powerful creatures, and so are Trandoshans. On another note, for Wrecker to knock out a trandoshan in one hit, really proves his strength. They don't go down easy. Hunter says they're both just kids but they don't get to be in this galaxy, which is true, and sad because neither of them got the enjoy their youth. Omega with being locked up on Kamino as a science experiment, and then with Gungi running for his life from Order 66, the two have had to grow up really fast and it'll make them quite formidable characters when they are fully grown. The Elder speaks the native language of Kashyyyk, Shyriiwook, and says when a young one leaves, the trees weep, and when they return, the trees sing. So the trees on Kashyyyk have been known to be sentient and to speak to the Wookies, and vice versa. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Chewbacca, like Black Krrsantan, is an extremely powerful Wookie. As all Wookies from Kashyyyk, their big stature and strong bodies make them very formidable warriors, which is a testament to those who can defeat even them! Just before the midway point in the season, and Bad Batch still feels like it is trying to figure out what it wants to be in a post-Kamino world. Entombed is an Indiana Jones style adventure with a bit of heart, but it closes off the storylines it opens in almost the same breath, with a confusingly short climax. Tribe fares better, but for the most part wastes Kashyyyk and the return of a certain Wookie Padawan with low stakes enemies, although we do get introduced to the enjoyable Vanguard Axis smugglers. David Waldman and Greg Dworkin our present our annual KITM Star Wars Day Eve Special, this year spoken in Shyriiwook for all our Kashyyyk followers! Huurh awwgggghhh wrrhwrwwhw uuh huuguughghg! Another day, another Tucker Carlson Fox leak. No, that wasn't why Carlson was fired. That's how they all talk at Fox. Expect scandalous Tucker Carlson leaks to continue until Rupe's ex admits that she was wrong to crush on Tuck. Ron DeSantis isn't the first child to throw a fit at Disneyworld, and sure won't be the last. Disney has been setting up to win this case for a while now, and by “win” they mean to make DeSantis and his supporters lose. That whole thing about law cutting both ways has always annoyed conservatives, chiefly the part about the defendant discovering what the other side has up its sleeve. The Right doesn't care how much money they need to pour into court manipulation, or who they pour it into, although that is one of the reasons why George Mason University doesn't call it the David Waldman School of Law. Bidenomics has replaced Reaganomics, and yet no one seems to be happy about anything anymore. Republicans therefore see little downside in just burning it all down, especially Marjorie Traitor Greene. Kevin McCarthy's problem is that each Republican House member thinks that they are Marjorie Traitor Greene. Close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades and debt limit chicken, so nobody will be blinking soon. Democrats have seen this coming however and might have some procedural tricks up their sleeves. Maybe everyone's been doing the debt limit wrong all along.
We get back to covering actual Worst Picture Winners with 1998's An Alan Smithee Film: Burn, Hollywood, Burn, winner at the 19th Annual Golden Raspberry Awards! You can tell how excited we were to talk about this one by how long we talk about whether Batman's a fascist in the opening. We break down what did and didn't work about the movie, marvel at how anyone could possible cast Harvey Weinstein in an on-screen role, dig into what went wrong with this film's bizarre soundtrack, lambast Joe Esterhaz's lazy writing while defending his Wookiee-like appearance, and try to grasp how a movie like this can be so bad that the director took an Alan Smithee credit himself unironically. We come up with film aliases for ourselves, Jack recounts a bathroom crime, and Joe struggles and fails to remember the title of Comedy Central's single-season adult animated series Kid Notorious about producer Robert Evans. Get comfy, enjoy the episode, and please let us know if you know anything about Michael Ovitz.
