We're back with a new episode! On this episode we had a return of one of our guests. It's none other than Mona! Mona spoke to the duo about owning Elm Cafe a new food space that opened in December 2022 and Soul Kitchen and their new space in East Legon. She talked about how there's so much work being a business owner in the food and hospitality industry, how you're always kept on your toes because of customer feedback and also the trio touched upon the world of food influencing.

On this episode we had a surprise guest in the form of Opeyemi Famakin. Opeyemi is a food critic/blogger/influencer from Nigeria and in his words has been a fan of the show since 2020/2021. He was in Ghana for a 2 week trip and we managed to get him on as a guest. The duo talked to him about his time here in Ghana, his takes on the Ghanaian cuisine, what he liked and didn't like. How his video of him trying Ghanaian Okro Soup went viral and the reactions to it and more and how there are still many places he has to visit in Accra/Ghana the next time he comes to visit.

We're back with a brand new episode! On this episode Baaba, owner of ProEats Foods joined us to talk about her business. She talked about how she started in 2019 by selling granola before pivoting into making breakfast boxes in 2020 in the thick of the pandemic and how she managed the business but eventually had to stop due to the inflation in 2022. It was a informative episode and we hope that ProEats comes back in the near future.

Mame tells us about her exercise routine and how she's been consistent with it and the results she's gotten out of it so far. It's time to visit the East End of Accra and Bloom into the beautiful being that you are! On this episode the duo have Edem as a guest. Edem is one of the owners of Bloombar and the restaurant East End Bistro. He spoke about how Bloombar came into being, what his role is in the corporate side of things. He also told the duo about the circumstances that led to the creation of arguably Bloom's famous drink Fast Track. Edem spoke about why they decided to open a restaurant once they had established Bloom Bar as one Accra's main nightlife spots and what the future holds for Bloombar and East End Bistro.

Take out your hiking boots, go for a trek and listen to this episode! The duo are back with a new episode. Mame and Omi talk about what they've been up to and what they got up to for Valentine's Day. Akosua Shirley a food, travel and lifestyle blogger joined them as a guest to discuss food, travel and tourism in Ghana and outside Ghana. Akosua spoke to them about backpacking alone across Ghana, the challenges she faced and her overall experience with it. She spoke about what motivates her to travel and how she's looking to spread more information about solo travel in Ghana especially for women.

It's been a while but the duo are back! On this episode Mame and Omi talk about what they've been up to since they last recorded and went on a long but deserved break. How their Decembers have been, Omi's experience of having Nigerian food for the first time, his thoughts on it and how much he enjoyed it and Mame tells him why she didn't enjoy her experience of having Nigerian food. They talked about their plans for 2022 and what they expect from the food scene in Accra/Ghana for the year and what they're looking forward to trying out.

Healthy new episode is out! Mame and Omi start the episode by talking about what they've been up to and what events they're attending in the leadup to Detty December. Previous guest Jonny Stone has a cameo in this episode where he talks briefly about his UK travels and all the amazing food he had and food events he's hosting. Finally as Jonny put it the Main Event happened which was having Nana of Wholly Kombucha come and speak to the duo about what Kombucha is, why it's taste might be off putting to people initially, the process of making it and the health benefits of it.

Hot piping podcast episode is out! Mame and Omi catch up after their previous episode and talk about how Chef Keeks' pop up was and how it was like the pop ups he'd do at Aviation. Their second guest of the Season Mona Ebony aka xMonezzz joined them on this episode. She talked about how she got into the food business, her previous ventures like Ebony's Kitchen, The Feast and HIH Trays. She also gave them a look at two new projects that will be launching sometime in December both related to the world of food. They rounded up the episode talking about food pricing by various restaurants/venues.

Once again WYF serving you fresh hot content! On this episode, Mame and Omi have their first guest of the season: Gerald Quaynor aka Gerald Crack. Gerald is the owner of KinTurkey a delivery only food joint that specialises in Turkey with sides such as Jollof/Yam chips and also other proteins. Gerald tells them why it's called KinTurkey, who he runs the business with, what made him start and the challenges he faces. As always it's an informative episode and gave Mame and Omi an insight into how such a business is run.

All the amazing food he had and the various food joints/restaurants he visited and how there's a need for it in Accra/Ghana as well. On the 10th Episode of WYF, Omi and Mame had Nana Ama aka Archie join them as a guest to discuss the world of Nightlife in Accra. Archie works as a sales manager for Imexco who are major distributors of LVMH products and she handles the nightclub clients and some restaurant clients of Imexco. She gave an insight into how bottles are priced based on where the place is located, the different types of cognac there are and how the pandemic has played a role in stock and supply chain issues.

On the 9th Episode of WYF, Omi and Mame had Ramzy of The Wingman join them as a guest. Ramzy and his brother own the budding food enterprise known as The Wingman. Ramzy spoke about what made them start the business, the challenges of running a food business especially now that they do it full time, customer satisfaction and he answers the most pertinent question: Who is always on the phone with The Wingman when you call to order?

On the 8th episode of WYF, Mame and Omi had Paulina of HealthyTreatsGh join them as a guest. Paulina is the owner of HealthyTreatsGh that deals in Granola. She makes the granola herself from scratch and sells it for consumption. Paulina ran Mame and Omi through the process of how she sources her ingredients to making it and how she sells it and in what quantities. They also spoke to her about the challenges of running a business during the pandemic and how she has to navigate the challenges.

After what seems like ages Mame and Omi are back with a new episode. A lot has happened since the last time they recorded and the two talk about what's happened since then, what they're up to currently, new places they've been to, the 4/20 Tastebox Mame made for the occasion of 4/20. Finally they round off the episode by talking about two topics that were trending on twitter: Are buffets a good first date and the story of the 46 cedis uber.

On the 5th episode of What's Your Flavor, Mame and Omi have Akosua on board as a guest. They talk about Akosua's previous job as an airhostess for Emirates, her current work as a content creator and the 30 day vegan challenge she went through and the challenges she faced having to maintain a strict vegan diet.

On the 4th episode of What's Your Flavor, Mame and Omi are joined in the studio with Pokua aka Poks of Podak Purple and AccraweDey fame. They talk about Thanksgiving, the feast that Mame put together for it, service at restaurants and a lot more.

On the 3rd episode of What's Your flavor, Mame and Omi do a deep dive on Fufu, it's appeal to so many of the people across the country, why it's a sunday tradition and how it's become a part of the Accra Culture. Chef Keeks and Jonny come on board as guests on this episode after a long time since appearing on the first season.

On the second episode of What's Your Flavor, Mame and Omi are joined by their first guest of the new season. Alex from Menufinder Africa. Alex tells them how he started out, what made him start out, future plans for Menufinder Africa and what his experience has been like reviewing restuarants in Ghana. There's also a bromance that blossoms between Omi and Alex.

Mame and Omi are back in studio after lockdown with the ninth episode of What's Your Flavor. Still being safe, wearing masks & practicing social distancing, they discuss life in Accra post-lockdown but still in the time of the Rona. On this episode they talk to their special guest Ria Boss a.k.a. the Cat Mama. She & Omi go down memory lane while acknowledging her as one of Ghana's greatest exports. They also talk about her embracing veganism, what it's like being vegan in Accra & how that has affected her general well-being, as well as the #BlackLivesMatter movement.

Mame and Omi are back after a long long time with the eighth episode of What's Your Flavor. Due to the Corona virus Pandemic recording in the studio was a challenge so they used the help of Anchor to do the podcast. In this episode they talk about how they're dealing with the Corona virus Pandemic, how it's affected their daily lives, lockdown and most importantly how the food industry here in Ghana and the rest of the world has been affected and what measures they've been taking to ensure that business still goes on.

They discuss some of the new places that have popped up around Accra also. They also discuss enjoyment budgets & some ways to manoeuvre Accra without breaking bank amongst other things.

Mame and Omi are back with the sixth episode of What's Your Flavor. In this episode they first talk about what's been happening since the last episode. They discuss about the new places that opened in Accra due to the Year of Return festivities. They were then joined by Zubaidah who is more popularly known as Zubie/Zubbz. Zubaidah is a food blogger/influenced who recommends places and various dishes at restaurants. She also has a website zubzz.com where she has menus from over 100 restaurants available to browse through and also restaurants categorized based on what budget you are looking at. Mame and Omi discuss with Zubie about her motivation to start this line of business, making it a career choice, what plans she has for the future and more.

Omi & Mame are back with the fifth episode of What's Your Flavor. This is the first podcast of the new year and decade and we wish all our listeners a very Happy New Year. On this episode Mame and Omi talk about their December in Accra, the Year of Return on the whole, which events they attended. They then spoke about the 2nd edition of the What's Your Flavor Day Party that happened. And finally they spoke about if Accra really needs new Recreational centres/places when it already has some places which are not being patronised enough.

Omi & Mame are back with the fourth episode of What's Your Flavor. In this episode, Mame & Omi briefly talk about Omi's trip to India. What he And they also catch up on some of the events that transpired since the last episode. After which they spoke to Kwame Bishops of Biishville fame. They talked to him about his new venture Luna Rooftop Bar, his plans for it and the growth of Biishville and what it has in store for the future.

Omi & Mame are back with the third episode of What's Your Flavor. In this episode, Mame & Omi do a little catching up, talking about their days. They were then joined by Dylan & Ernest, the Head Honchos of Serallio & Buddies Sports Bar and Grill, respectively. They give us a little insight on what it's like to run businesses in Accra, what it takes to maintain longevity & have a loyal customer base.

Omi & Mame are back with the 2nd episode of the second season of What's Your Flavor. In this episode Mame and Omi talk about Omi leaving for India on his holiday, what he's going to do and what he's looking forward to. They were then joined by Dede Buckman, proprietor of Cool Scoop, a made-in-Ghana gelato company. It's relatively new, and Dede guided Mame and Omi on how the company operates, the flavours they have and what they have in store for the future.

Omi & Mame are back with the 1st episode of the second season of What's Your Flavor. They do a little catch-up, figure out what food they are for the week & are joined by special guest Helen, who talks about Veganism as well as some of the things that come with being vegan in Accra.

On this episode Mame and Omi discuss about the first ever Blue Cheese Conclave that Chef Keeks and his Madam Salma did. The Blue Cheese Conclave was a 4 course fine dine lunch event that had 20 people showing up. Mame and Omi discuss about the event in detail and what their favourite dish was. From there they discussed about the first Mames Tastes dinner event that had an environmental theme as the backdrop. Mame gave her thoughts about how it went and the feedback she got from the event. The second segment of the podcast saw our guest Martin aka Kiddi come and talk about his Asana business called Yass Asana with us which does flavoured bottled Asana, the challenges of running a business like that, customer relations and what is in store for the future of his company.
