A long time ago Rene Guenon made a prediction. He conjectured something along the lines of the return of traditional understanding of the man and world, albeit with inverted quality - a sort of advent of anti-man and anti-world. In this podcast we point out a peculiar tendency inside the "transgender population" to speak of themselves as disembodied 'souls', thus putting the soul back in the public discourse, form whence it was banished. How this comes to pass, why is it an inversion of the original notion of the soul and what might be possible trends are some of the questioned answered.

Robby Krieger On Live At The Matrix 1967: The Original MastersThe Doors were a few months away from stardom in March 1967 when they played five sparsely attended shows at a small club in San Francisco called The Matrix. These uninhibited performances would have been fleeting if not for Peter Abram, who co-owned  the pizza parlor-turned-nightclub with Jefferson Airplane founder Marty Balin. An avid recordist, Abram taped concerts at The Matrix regularly and his recordings of The Doors, made between March 7-11, 1967, spawned one of the band's most storied bootlegs.  At long last, all known Matrix recordings, sourced entirely from Abram's original master recordings, will be released on September 8.Bootlegs of The Matrix shows have circulated among fans for years and were popular despite the poor audio quality of most copies. The sound began improving in 1997 when the first two songs from The Matrix shows were officially released on The Doors: Box Set. Even more performances followed in 2008 on Live at the Matrix 1967; regrettably, it was discovered soon after that all the recordings were sourced from third-generation tapes, not the originals. Today, Abram's original recordings have been remastered by Bruce Botnick, The Doors' longtime engineer/mixer, for official release. The vinyl version of LIVE AT THE MATRIX 1967: THE ORIGINAL MASTERS includes all 37 songs from the shows sourced from the master tapes. Except for 15 songs released in 2017 and 2018 as Record Store Day exclusives, most of the newly upgraded live recordings are making their debut in the collection, including eight that have never been featured on any of the previous Matrix releases. It's easy to understand the enduring appeal of these vintage performances by Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger, and John Densmore. Recorded only a few months before “Light My Fire” propelled the band to worldwide success, the tapes capture The Doors playing a wide range of songs, including several from their self-titled debut, like “Break On Through,” “Soul Kitchen,” and “The End.” They also performed half the songs destined for the group's soon-to-be-recorded second album, Strange Days, including early performances of “Moonlight Drive” and “People Are Strange.” 15 Sets of music over five nights at The Matrix gave the band time to indulge its love of the blues with extended covers of “I'm A King Bee” and “Crawling King Snake.” The Doors even delivered an instrumental version of “Summertime.” These special moments all contribute to making Live at The Matrix, 1967all the more fascinating and important, as it showcases The Doors as the nascent struggling young band they were. Let's get deeper inside this box set's music, shall we?Source: https://store.rhino.com/en/rhino-store/artiHost Maggie LePique, a radio veteran since the 1980's at NPR in Kansas City Mo. Hello Friday! Devon O'Reilly is on the line and we talk about a few things around metro Detroit. 01:51 - The owner of the beloved Mati's Deli, Lou Weinstein, has died. The shop is closed for now for bereavement. Devon's been going to the deli for years.  04:13 - Where has Devon been? He tried the coastal Italian place Tiliani that recently opened in West Dearborn. He shared all his tasty thoughts.  07:39 - Should a 32 hour work week be the norm? The UAW, as one of the goals of current talks between the union and the Detroit 3 automakers, wants a 32 hour work week. What do you think?  13:19 - Fixin's Soul Kitchen is coming to Detroit. Founded by Ex-NBA star and former Sacramento mayor Kevin Johnson, it's going to open in Detroit's Paradise Valley either in mid December or early next year. This should help add some restaurant and retail life to a beautiful street that doesn't have as much activity as it should.  17:55 - Sanders is bring back their toppings, including fudge and caramel. Production had been halted for awhile. 19:08 - Black Cherry Vernors is back everywhere, to Devon's dismay. THE DIRTY 30!  Episode XXX!  In this unusually family-friendly ep we have our second epic interview in as many weeks, but this time it's with the future captain of industry; he who will inherit the earth:  A 9 YEAR OLD BOY, a student, who is an only child, with divorced parents, giving us his take on Melbourne's endless LOCKDOWN GULAG and how 5% of his life has been spent.  You might be surprised...   Since BEES are the barometer of WTF is going on with the planet, it's time to watch the barometric pressure rise as Honey Bees make way smarter decisions than you, have threesomes and bee orgies, and make decisive action on exactly where they want to go out and party and eat---just like you!   Japan is a conundrum:  They bring us grotesquely bad humans like the face that sank 1000 ships, Mazie Hirono, who probably sank The Arizona just by looking at it in Pearl Harbour.  But they also bring us great culture, food, and especially epic clothing and superstars like Junya Watanabe and my long-time fave Commes de Garcons.... in case you wondered why I look especially epic this week in WHAT YOUR PODCASTER IS WEARING.  They also (Japan) make epic whisky as you know, but this week I'm drinking the best SCOTCH WHISKY on the planet, and we'll open a flagon together.  Ever since Efrem Zimbalist, Jr died and took all the good agents with him (other than the ones in SILENCE OF THE LAMBS) there's been a lot of reason to not trust the FBI, especially since they conspired with the CIA to spy on the Republican election campaign in 2016 when weaponized by the dark witch and Barry.  But Clint Eastwood's latest movie shows how they can really fuck up your life if they suspect you of something you never did if they need a victim and you fit the profile.  There's nothing like a good sex trafficking series to relax the family and The Vow is the hottest brand in town.  Check out a local Aussie film from a few years ago that no one saw but is worth hunting down about the white Aussie guy on the podium at Mexico City with Black Power Gloved Tommy Smith and John Carlos.  Come watch with me... The heavy MARS energy and NEPTUNE impulses in our charts this week has put extreme psychic visions and ridiculous comfort food in our lives.  I'm a takin' you to Harlem to pig out on WAFFLES and FRIEND CHICKEN at Silvia's Soul Kitchen and you will thank me! Plus all your regular faves and make sure the whole family listens to this one..or else. :) #MarieBrenner #ClintEastwood #SamRockwell #uesquebach #Whisky #Scotch #KentAlexander #kevinSalwen #RichardJewell #TheVow #KeithRaniere #SylviasSoulFood #Mars #Neptune #Salute #DavidRedman #instinctEntertainment #RogerNorman #Prada #Acne #SylviaWoods #commesDeGarcon #junyawatanabe #mazieHirono #CoreyBooker #AmyConeyBryant #ACB #SupremeCourt #DanielAndrews #Lockdown #Bees #CIA #FBI #DanBongino #monsterDome #DavidLittlejohn #BruceLee #BeWaterMyFriend #shannonLee #EnterTheDragon #ChelseaCook #TheConversation   OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Photo by: John Nacion/STAR MAX/IPx 2020 10/5/20 A view of Regal Cinema in Times Square, New York City on October 5, 2020.
