Jacob and Jessica are back to guess the murderer before the credits roll — this time on the new BritBox cozy crime drama “A Taste for Murder,” set on the stunning island of Capri. Between mispronounced Italian, a suspicious water pump, and debates about apps worth $20 million, will they somehow find the killer? In This Episode: Show Intro: A Taste for Murder – A British detective retreats to Capri after his wife's death and ends up, naturally, investigating murders with his teenager in tow. Jacob cannot stress enough how hard it is to feel sorry for someone whose tragedy-coping mechanism is Capri. The Cast Breakdown – Jessica runs through the credits, including a former two-time world Thai boxing champion turned actor, a young actress who played mini Harry Styles in a music video, and the beloved Mrs. Hughes from Downton Abbey (sorry, IMDB — everyone knows that's her biggest role) "Suck it, AI — get your head in the game." — Jessica, on IMDB's algorithm The Episode Recap: "Torta Della Nonna" – A British tourist in a fuchsia dress turns up dead on the rocks below Tiberius Leap. The clues: no shoes, a shredded prenup, a duplicitous boyfriend, a beauty therapist, and a cousin nobody knew existed. The Guesses – Jessica thinks: grifter, jealous boyfriend, push. Jacob thinks: influencer, depressed girlfriend, made to look like a mental health episode. Jacob wins. Jessica graciously concedes. "She said she'd give it to me. That means I win." — Jacob Funny Moments: Jacob's take on the dad dragging his teenage daughter off a date to go chase a murderer together: "What teenage daughter doesn't want to participate in police work?" The duo debating whether the Brit detective has earned the right to "retreat to Capri" after a tragedy, leading to: "My definition of tragedy changes drastically when Capri is an option." Jessica storming into the kitchen at 4 AM thinking Jacob was a burglar — he was feeding the cat. A plate broke. Chaos ensued. The coroner who doesn't want to share information with the police — a first in TV history according to Jacob and Jessica. The mysterious restaurant water pump that Joe keeps splashing his face with, now appearing in multiple episodes. Theories welcome. The Naples police station overrun with plants, many of which were not thriving. Jacob learning what "EVOO" means approximately 20 years after everyone else. The pronunciation gauntlet: Italian cast names, episode titles in Italian, and the word "Neapolitan." Fun History Fact – Tiberius Leap: Emperor Tiberius used that exact cliff to execute servants he didn't like. The Virgin Mary now watches over it. It's fine. Christie's Rating – Jessica gives it 3; Jacob argues for at least 5 (cahoot situation, multiple alibis, prenup shredded the wrong way). They meet somewhere in the middle. We covered a lot of ground this week ... from Formula 1 stories, to stolen cake and a debate that still has the NASCAR world buzzing — this Dirty Thirty is 30 minutes of prime content for your listening pleasure. To kick things off, Scott Speed walks us through the wreck that ended up leading to his departure from Formula 1 and his entry in the NASCAR Cup Series, of which he knew next to nothing about. You'll hear from Denny Hamlin after his race at Darlington, where his co-host Jared asks about all the hype leading up to the race and whether or not the product lived up to the expectations. If you haven't heard this next part yet, buckle up. It's one of the most controversial takes we've had on any platform yet. Producer Travis Rockhold makes a claim about Hall of Fame Nominees you'll just have to hear to believe. On Door Bumper Clear this week, we asked Freddie, Tommy, Karsyn, and guest Matt Weaver the question: Is Hendrick Motorsports worried about being this far into the season without a win? Lastly, we end with as classic of a Dale Jr. as we've heard over on Bless Your 'Hardt, where Amy might have gotten a stolen cake for her birthday. We'll catch you right here next week on Dirty Thirty! Don't miss us too much. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Today's episode of The Rizzuto Show is what happens when modern technology, questionable decisions, and birthday energy all collide into one beautifully chaotic comedy podcast. We kick things off with a painfully relatable struggle: trying to watch a baseball game in 2026. Sounds simple, right? WRONG. Between blackout rules, apps that make zero sense, and enough subscription tiers to require a spreadsheet, even the most determined fans are left wondering if it's easier to just… give up and listen on the radio like it's 1952. And yes, this includes a full breakdown of trying to help an 82-year-old navigate it. Spoiler: nobody wins. Then we pivot into one of the wildest stories of the day—a guy who used AI to create hundreds of thousands of songs, unleashed bot armies to stream them, and made about $8 million in the process. It's genius, it's illegal, and it raises the important question: would YOU do five years for that kind of money? The ethics get murky, the opinions get louder, and suddenly this comedy podcast feels like a courtroom drama with snacks.March Movie Mayhem rolls on, and things get heated. Dumb & Dumber vs Tommy Boy? That's not a debate—that's a personality test. Add in The Big Lebowski, Wayne's World, and a few emotional breakdowns over 90s classics, and you've got a bracket that's doing more damage than it should. But the real heart (and confusion) of the episode comes when Lern gets surprised for her birthday. What starts as a simple cake reveal turns into… a miniature replica of her grandma's house. Yes. A tiny house. With details. And emotional implications. It's thoughtful, weird, and exactly the kind of gift that only makes sense on this show.We also hit everything from cassette tapes making a questionable comeback, to Netflix raising prices (again), to snack foods that may or may not change your life—or at least your digestive confidence. It's another perfectly unhinged day with Rizz and the gang, delivering exactly what you expect from a daily comedy podcast: laughs, chaos, and just enough confusion to keep things interesting.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
This week on Bless Your ‘Hardt, Amy's birthday celebration did not exactly go according to plan, and somehow it involved two carrot cakes, a mystery bundt cake, and a situation where Dale may or may not have taken someone else's cake. Amy and Dale recap her birthday, including dinner at Epic in downtown Mooresville, along with a special birthday drink presented by High Rock Vodka, a funny debate about old school cars versus today's safety features, and why self-driving cars are a hard pass. Plus, Dale shares stories from his Key West trip, including a bar shot that involves getting smacked, and things spiral into conversations about color analysis, closet chaos, and why he refuses to throw anything away. The episode wraps with a chaotic round of Family Feud and Ask Amy, where they give advice on meeting the parents and talk about what age they would go back to if they could. Hello to you listening in Stellenbosch, South Africa!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga. It's a tradition to light the candles on a birthday cake and say, Make a wish! Blow out the candles!Where did this tradition begin? Maybe it's true or maybe it isn't, but as the story goes the ancient Greeks in the time of Zeus brought round-shaped cakes adorned with lit candles when they visited the temple of Artemis, the goddess of the hunt and the moon. The Romans called her Diana. As you can imagine, the lit candles made the round cakes glow like the moon. Others believed that the smoke from the candles carried the wishes and prayers heavenward where they would be granted - in time - although not always in the form they were expected. Practical Tip: What Birthday Wishes of yours might have come true but not in the form they were expected? When it's your birthday light the candles, make a wish and expect the unexpected will again come true for you. Birthday wishes are like that! Guaranteed! You're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" Speaking of magic, I hope you'll subscribe, share a 5-star rating and nice review on your social media or podcast channel of choice, bring your friends and rellies, and join us! In this powerful and tender conversation, Beth shares how her journey as a single mom began just one week after her son was born when she left an abusive relationship and started over on her own. Years later, after moving to East Texas and putting down roots in her church and community, Beth found a way to use her background in pastry arts and her heart for ministry to serve other single moms in a deeply meaningful way. Through her ministry Single, Not Solo, Beth provides personalized birthday cakes to children of single moms, not just to celebrate the kids, but to remind the moms that they are seen, supported, and not alone. What began as a simple act of baking for families she knew has grown into a sponsored ministry where every cake is covered through generosity, prayer, and faith. Along the way, Beth shares moving stories of families she's served, how God continues to provide for her own family, and why caring for the mom is just as important as celebrating the child. We often fall into the habit of only going to God when we need something from Him, but we fail to build intimacy in the relationship. Just as we need to tell our spouse that we love them, it is crucial that we tell God we love Him and thank Him for all He's done for us. It's in remembering to praise Him, even in small ways, that we can truly minister to and bless His heart.
