Auralism basically means you are aroused by sound. But how this looks though can vary from person to person. For some it's the sounds their partner makes, for others it could be certain musical instruments, and for others it could be ASMR sounds. Dara, and a few friends, share how certain sounds make them feel and we offer different ways to incorporate sounds into your scenes. On this episode, I talk about Auralism. It is being sexually aroused by sound. That sound can differ from person to person, from crumpling paper to the sounds of passion, many of us are affected by sounds. Some people, are sexually aroused by non-erotic sounds. I discuss different ways we can explore and enhance this fetish, and even if you are not within the realm of the BDSM or Fetish community, this is something you can explore to enhance your relationships. I discuss some of the places you can find different erotic sounds that may turn you on and more... From every cut of the knife, to the seedy sex clubs that my killer frequents. Duchess bring another sexy story, this time about when she discovered a fetish hidden deep within her subconscious. Auralism, the fetish of sound.
Hello and welcome to Episode #062 of Lehmann Podcast - Clint Stewart! Somewhere between the warm sun rays and crystal blue waves of a tropical beach and the pulsing sounds and strobe lights of a dark warehouse lies Clint Stewart. An organic embodiment of the ocean since before he could remember, it wasn't until his late teens that he was drawn into the synthetic world of electronic music. There were years of DJ'ing before the initial moment that chance drove him towards the path he is on now when, in 2007, he never stepped foot on his return flight to Hawaii and stayed in San Francisco to help run Auralism Records. As fate would have it, two weeks later he met Tassilo and later Thomas from Pan-Pot, which unknowingly at the time, would result in a friendship developing a dramatic impact on the course of his career. It was at this time that San Francisco was having its own renaissance of techno and house with outfits such as the infamous [KONTROL] events at The Endup, Sunset Sound Systems famed open airs, Dirtybirds Golden Gate Park parties and Auralism's psychedelic journeys at The Compound. Over the next years Clint proved himself an undeniable tastemaker and someone who always had a story to tell. He was one of the main residents at the legendary 222 Club and a regular at undergrounds and warehouses in all corners of the city as well as being a regular in New York, Detroit and LA. Clint made his first trips abroad in 2008 playing clubs like Watergate, Tresor, Bar 25 and Anja Schneider's 'Dance Under The Blue Moon' radio show on Fritz FM. In 2009 he went back to Hawaii for the first time since his departure 2 years prior to kick off the inaugural night of what is now the world famous Asylum in Honolulu as their first guest. Summer after summer he'd return to Berlin becoming a regular fixture at Watergate and other events playing alongside Pan-Pot. In 2011 Clint left his solo work to pursue a new project with friend Marc Smith as Safeword. The two found immediate success with a string of big releases on Poker Flat, Dessous, and Paso before releasing their biggest EP, My Love, on Mobilee in 2012. The two cranked out a chain of massive remixes including their twist on [a]pendics.shuffle feat. Blakkat's "Heavy Burdens High", which was featured in Maya Jane Coles' Essential Mix and made Rolling Stones top 20 mixes of 2013. Safeword also garnered a mass of attention with their DJ and live sets playing as the inaugural guest for Lee Burridges 'All Day I Dream' open airs in LA and BPM as well as the infamous Mobilee Off Sonar events. It was the summer of 2013 when Clint decided to break away to pursue his solo work. It was time to showcase his own sonic story on an international level and was hand picked by Pan-Pot to join them on the 10 year anniversary 'X-Tour' as well as the first artist on their new label Second State. With the first three Second State showcases in Paris, London and Berlin being a huge success and his sets garnering him an immense amount of attention as a unique and skilled DJ, Clint is finally ready to reveal his own voice as a producer. With a string of hefty remixes as well as his first solo EP, 'Warpaint' already receiving massive reactions from crowds at huge festivals and events, it is no doubt solidifying Clint's place as a rising talent and one to watch on the international landscape. You can catch Clint Stewart at Lehmann Club Stuttgart together with Pan-Pot, BEC and Chris Hirose on 25.09.2015. A Mixtape For Omar D Little (Cause A Man Got To Have A Code) by Cian Ó Cíobháin 26/08/09 Galway, Ireland 1. Biosphere – Kobresia I kicked off my first podcast for Shock with a field recording from Geir Jenssen, AKA Biosphere. Here he is doing the honours again with a track from the 2001 re-issue of his classic ‘Substrata' LP, released on Touch. 2. Cocteau Twins – Lazy Calm I've been revisiting the Cocteau's back catalogue with brio recently. This one, from an LP called ‘Victorialand', brings me back to when I was about 14, discovering for the first time that a whole universe of music existed beyond the Hit Parade. 3. Broadcast – Echo's Answer From a LP called ‘The Noise Made By People' on Warp, this Birmingham band have been making beautiful music with a minimum of fuss for almost 12 years now. 4. Torngat – Afternoon Moon Pie Montréal ambient post-rockers with a gorgeous instrumental from their recent LP ‘La Petite Nicole' on Alien8. 5. Q Lazzarus – Goodbye Horses (Krikor Edit) You know that bit toward the end of ‘The Silence Of The Lambs' where Buffalo Bill, the serial killer, is applying his make-up and dancing in front of the mirror? This is the song (though not the edit) that's playing. I always thought it seemed out of context as it's a beautiful song with genuine pathos. 6. Stimming – Song For Isabelle One of the most beautiful 4/4 tunes I've heard this year, from Hamburg's Martin Stimming. 7. Coalition Of The Killing V Eutactic – Haven't Gotten So Far Another tuneful 4/4 cut coming from a mournful place, taken from the ‘What Of The Future?' EP on Auralism. 8. Clark – Absence I must admit that I'm not a fan of Chris Clark's new LP ‘Totems Flare'. Too gnarly in places, with overwrought Crookers-esque synths. 9. Department Of Eagles – Round The Bay Side project from Daniel Rossen, of Grizzly Bear, and his friend Fred Nicolaus. This song is my personal highlight from the ‘In Ear Park' LP. 10. Atlas Sound – River Card Would it be heresy to suggest that the music that Brandon James Cox has released under his Atlas Sound alias has more depth and panache than his more publicised work as Deerhoof? 11. Linda Scott – I've Told Every Little Star One of my favourite songs ever. Thank you David Lynch for introducing it to me. Used hauntingly (as are all songs from the fifties & sixties in his movies of course) on the ‘Mulholland Drive' soundtrack. 12. The Shirelles – Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow? While I was busting out my girl-group moves, I thought I might as well stick this one in, which - like the Linda Scott song - was a million-selling hit in 1961. 13. Animal Collective – Bluish I have yet to hear a superior LP this year to ‘Merriweather Post Pavillion.' 14. Cane 141 – Eager Boy Comics It's no secret that I consider Cane 141's ‘Garden Tiger Moth' the best Irish LP since MBV's ‘Loveless'. Timeless perfectly-crafted indie pop with shades of Stereolab, Pere Ubu, The Go-Betweens and C-86. 15. Cinnamon Chasers – Luv Deluxe This retro/future bachelor-pad disco-pop ditty was composed by one Russ Davies, the son of Dave and nephew of Ray Davies, from The Kinks. 16. The Long Blondes – Fulwood Babylon Speaking of The Kinks, who are mentioned in this song, as are illicit Russ Mayer films, this is a Long Blondes B-side, which - I believe – may have been Erol Alkan's first production for this now sadly defunct Sheffield band. This is what I imagine when you say the words ‘indie disco'. 17. The Specials – Friday Night, Saturday Morning Like the aforementioned Kinks & The Long Blondes, this 1981 ska classic tells its tale with a deft and humorous touch. 18. Seavault – Cornfields Tucked away on CD#2 of a Morr Music compilation entitled ‘Not Given Lightly', which is mainly a covers of classic 80's Kiwi indie pop, this one – which isn't a cover as far as I know.

Ever since he took control of his Catholic High School’s dance committee and started spinning the new wave and early electronic music he loved, DJ Hac Le has been exhorting audiences to dance, and audiences have listened. The listed resident & Auralism’s multi-talented Creative Director is a man of many hats, from world-traveling DJ, to promoter, to up-and-coming producer. The Vietnam-born Le spent the ’90s kicking around LA, absorbing the spacey, mind-warping West Coast sound and putting in a three-year residency at Melrose’s Kontrol Faktory party. After relocating to Chicago, giving up on and subsequently rediscovering DJing, he began producing his own dark, tech-y tracks under the name Kyaro with new ally and future Auralism founder Jason Short. (Le currently has several solo and collaborative projects in the works.)In 2000, Le co-founded Global Trip, a Mexico-based company that has imported everyone from Lee Burridge to Deep Dish to Dimitri from Paris; he also forms the heart of Play Co. & Friends, a cadre of producers, artists, and DJs who promote Chicago’s underground scene through parties, radio shows, and podcasts. Still, the turntables remain Hac’s true passion, reinforced when John Digweed chose Hac’s mix as the winner of FutureMusic’s Next Big Thing DJ contest and James Zabiela in the recent DJ Mag poll named him "Breakthru DJ of 2008". Le’s sets, which will carry him around the globe in the coming year, are where his longstanding infatuation with dance music comes alive. "On one hand, I have the Chicago house influence, on the other, the nearby Detroit techno, and my West Coast background. It all comes together in a very nice fusion which people enjoy and seem to have a hard time categorizing!"Check out Hac Le's MySpace here, PlayCo Music and Auralism RecordsDownload MixSubscribe to this podcast with iTunesSubscribe via your RSS reader
